Genuine Winix 115115 Replacement Filter A for C535, 5300-2, P300, 5300, White/Black

When you buy the cheaper knock-off filters, the HEPA filter material comes all the way out to the front edge of the filter surround... so the carbon filter doesnt seat well, and makes it harder to close the filter retainer screen. The genuine filters have the recess for the carbon and fit much better. This was definitely a geniune filter and fit stugly in the frame with the carbon pre filter fitting on the front side perfectly. Change the carbon filter every 3 months, and dont forget to reset the HEPA filter reminder (if your model has one). There is usually a tiny hole next to the change filter light. I just stick a paper clip gently in until i feel a slight click from the reset switch. Hold it for about 10 seconds and the light will go out. Then youre good for another year.

Exact factory original replacement for Winix 5300 air cleaner that came in the box with my unit when it was new. One HEPA filter and 3 carbon filters screens are always easy to install and they come in a Winix box with instructions - should there be a need. For the record, these are made in So. Korea.

Ive got asthma and severe allergies and I love my Winix 5300-2. This is the second set of filters Ive bought, they are the genuine Winix replacements. The true Hepa filter I replaced was a year old and completely full of filth. The Hepa and the pre filters also trap odors really, really well. I live in an apartment and my ( luckily former, now evicted) neighbor smoked ridiculous amounts of w*** and made my apartment smell like road kill. Not only did that trigger my asthma, but the smell drove me nuts. I got the Winix 5300-2 for my bedroom and kept it near the wall where the smoke was coming in through the electrical outlets, and it made a huge difference. ( yes, thats a thing that can happen. It also came in through the bathroom ventilation, but Id just turn on the exhaust fans) I definitely recommend if you have asthma or severe allergies. ( or an inconsiderate neighbor )

The main filter and the carbon filters fit perfectly in my 5300-2 model. Initially bought this last October and got the indicator on my winix to replace the filter in mid July, so lasted about 9 months. Had the unit on 24/7 (except on a couple of occasions) on the 2nd-to-highest setting (there are 4 on mine), bumping it up to full speed sometimes. Used inside my bedroom, not a smoker or anything but it does get fairly dusty over time in my room. I replaced the carbon filters every 3 months as specified on mine. Pretty fair in my opinion, I would be surprised if any filter lasted the entire expected time frame, but I could be wrong. Even then, the amount you save should be taken into account.

I own the Winix air purifier and this filter is just what we needed to replace the original filter. Fits perfectly! I recommend this product.

I tried the other cheap off brand non-winix filters versions sold here and they were not acceptable. I switched to this original version and the Winix unit is now doing what I bought it for. The cheap versions flowed much more air and made the fan sound louder. This told me it was not filtering as I needed. Pollen is tiny and you need the full capabilities of these original filters or you will suffer more allergy problems like us. Allergies hit us hard this spring so ordered these original filters for our 2 Winix units and things got better, allergy problems backed off a bit if we stayed inside.

The filter is quality, just like the one that came with the unit. it came in the box that said Genuine Winix. I would buy from them again when I need to replace.

I have been buying these filter sets for about three years now, so this is my third set. The previous sets had a somewhat loose fit, so much so that I had to leave the machine on when installing the HEPA filter so that the suction would keep it in place, otherwise the filter would fall out. Because of the loose fit, there was always dust around the perimeter of the filter where air had bypassed the filter. This always bothered me. The new set that I just received, however, fits perfectly and TIGHTLY: both the HEPA and the carbon filters. In fact I had to gently push both in place. There is no way for the air to bypass the filter with this set. I hope that this is not a fluke and there has been an adjustment to to production specs. So if loose fitting has been a concern for you, it has been hopefully resolved.
