Global 7 Vegetable Knife

> 3 dayI use this knife at home, not in a professional kitchen, and I could not be more impressed. Ive been in the restaurant industry my entire life and this is one of the best knifes Ive ever been around. Ive used and been exposed to almost every brand of knife, both at home and in the business, Shuns, Globals, Wusthofs, Henckles, etc, and this particular Global is one of my favorites. Between my Chefs knife and this knife, they cover 95% of my work in the kitchen. This is a great vegetable knife for slicing, but will rock chop as well. Just keep in mind this is not a Chefs knife, and should not be used as such. I will never use this knife to break down a chicken. However, if you want to power through some vegetable prep with ease, this is your knife.

> 3 dayYou purchased this as recommended by the social media site Hot Thai Kitchen. The knife is sharp enough to make paper thin slices of tomato…it now my go to vegetable knife! Cleans up great in the dishwasher

> 3 dayThis is a fantastic knife, excellent quality, extremely sharp. Holds its edge for a long time and sharpens well. I have fairly small hands and it feels great, the weight is well distributed and it makes for highly efficient chopping. Made a wonderful gift.

> 3 dayI work in a banquet kitchen that produces high class cuisine on a very large scale. When it comes to chefs knives, I work alongside every brand of knife imaginable. I see a lot of Shuns, Henkels, Ken Onions, Globals, and one guy even sports his James Beard limited edition chefs knife. But the funny thing is, when it comes to an alternate knife for more precise cuts where perfection is mandatory, this is the knife in everyones kit. I always have to be careful where I lay my knife so that no one confuses it as theirs, but it just goes to show you how great of a knife this is. The shape of the knife allows you to line up the food for a perfectly straight cut that is made simple with the thin design and ultra sharp, low maintenance blade. It definitely shouldnt be the first knife for your collection as its not the best choice for the variety of tasks commonly associated with a chefs knife, but it sure makes a remarkable addition to any set.

> 3 dayHave had this knife for 10+ years. This is my go-to. My wife bought me an 8 inch shun ken onion knife that sits in bamboo holster. Holds a great edge and is a size I can use for anything. Even have my 10 yo using it.

18-11-2024These knives feel like they were custom made for my hands, perfectly balanced. They maintain their sharpness like no other knife Ive owned. I am slowly replacing my entire knife collection with Global knives.
