> 3 dayThe iron failed the first time I used it within 5 minutes. I tossed it out and ordered a cheaper more reliable iron

> 3 dayIt works very well, the cord is too heavy and not pliable for a iron that is energy efficient that is an overkill.

> 3 daySoldering iron? I thought it was a curling iron, that explains a lot.

Greater than one weekIn spite of the Celsius only settings, I like it. It is easy to make it too hot for 60/40, but it works well. I have used it for a few projects and hopefully will update this review over time, once I have more time using it.

> 3 dayThe seller Grandeurr Goods sold it used and said it was new. Maybe the actual new one works and is great but pass on buying from them unless you want a used piece of garbage and want to waste your time with a return.

> 3 dayIm new to stained glass and decided to spend a little extra on a good soldering iron. I am so glad I did! The Hakko FX-601 makes soldering so much easier than the yucky old irons that I used in my beginners class. This iron heats up quickly, maintains near perfectly even temperature, and just generally makes me look good.

Greater than one weekLove this soldering iron for stained glass...I bought it to replace my old Hakko which required a rheostat...this one has much more consistent temperature and my soldering looks great!

> 3 dayHave used consistently for several weeks and no issues yet. Works as described - temp control functions reliably and heats up quickly. I dont have a substantial frame of reference so take this review for what its worth. Im getting a lot of use out of the iron and it does what its supposed to do - so im pleased up until this point.
