So far I really like this. I needed a soldering iron where I could adjust the temperature and this works great. I have used it on jewelry but not on stained glass yet.

The iron is very, very good. The power cord is a disaster. The power cord is very stiff and takes away the joy of using the very good iron. There is no excuse why Hakko cannot supply a nice highly flexible cord with this iron. My Weller iron has a nice cord and it a pleasure to use. Hakko - put on a good cord and have a really nice product. Dont need a cord like was be on a circular saw!!

What a great iron love the temperature control feature. I’m new to stain glass but this Hakko FX-601 has made my life easier.

Great soldering iron but extra tips etc hard to find and expensive. Would recommend the 600 model instead.
