> 24 hourAfter a few years of using a cheap hakko 936 knockoff I decided to get the real thing and Im so glad I did. Ive used it for smd components as well as desoldering components from old boards and it performed flawlessly. The iron heats from room temp to 750 degrees f in 30 seconds and maintains temp perfectly. I read alot of reviews saying the temp control setting is not intuitive and difficult but after reading the instructions and using it I find it very user friendly and easy to navigate. I highly recommend this soldering station to anyone who is looking to upgrade from a cheap knockoff or wanting to start off with a quality tool that gets the job done fast and efficiently.

> 24 hourIm an electronics technician by trade and love this soldering iron. I purchased this for my home lab. I decided on this iron because of other reviews and the price was within my budget. After many hours of use I am more than satisfied. It comes up to temp quickly, and maintains temp well when soldering non isolated ground plane pads. The tip selection is excellent for a kit. My only complaint would be that the tips take a little bit more time to swap out than Id like and would be a concern if used in a production setting. But for hobby use, it doesnt warrant knocking off a star. Overall, I couldnt be happier with this iron.

> 24 hourBest soldering iron I’ve ever used. I purchased mine two years ago and I can’t believe the quality of this great tool. When another reviewer writes something negative about this particular tool, they are not being honest. Look at all of the five star reviews for this iron and you will understand. There are very few items in this world that I would put my name on. This is one of them. This iron will run up to 850 degrees and it is measured at the tip. Not to mention it takes less than 30 seconds to get there. No kidding. 30 seconds. I use mine daily.

> 24 hourAwesome 1st Station for SMT soldering, solid build, easy to use and my Hakko Bundle came with a selection of tips for SMT work. I have no doubt this unit will do me as a hobbyist for a long time, I love the Hakko quality, was put off by the Fisher Price look, but its definitely a Tonka build. Have not played much with it yet other than soldering a SOIC with no difficulty, will tackle an SSOP soon. Beats my 20 year old weller hands down, you definitely need one of these to get into SMT properly at an affordable price.

> 24 hourIm doing a lot of small electronics now and needed a quality set up. While the UI is a bit wonky an older used unit wasnt going to save me any money by the time I added the tips etc included with this kit.

> 24 hourFirst time using a Hakko solder, I was impressed with how quickly it heats up. The plethora of soldering heads is a nice option to get the right solder head for the job. Very satisfied.
