Its been about 9 months since I started to use this soldering kit and its great one. This made all soldering works fun and easy. Like all other soldering, you should do tin-coating and clean the tip you used every time you do soldering even though this kit says tin-coated. Thats how you can keep this soldering iron best. There are bunch of videos or articles about tin coating out there.

One of the best soldering stations you can buy for the money. I love that this setup comes with a lot of different tip styles and sizes. I use this daily with making custom automotive lighting and it works 100 times better than my old weller setup.

Heats up very quickly. Every bit as good as the more expensive Pace station I was using before.

I am extremely happy with this product. Heats up quick, maintains the heat well, Works just as well as everyone says it does. Tried a couple of other much less expensive irons, and this one is far superior to those offerings . Im typically rather cynical about many costlier products as the returns diminish greatly on a lot of things past a certain price point, This is absolutely not the case with this Soldering Station and I would certainly not hesitate to buy other Hakko products as their tools are often lauded for their quality while also being typically less expensive than their competitors.

After struggling with a junky radio shack soldering iron, I figured Id step up. This item is amazing. The tips are so nice and last such a long time. I run it at 750F and it does a quick and clean jog.

I have wanted to get an adjustable soldering station for a very long time. There are so many out there, I had no clue what to choose. One on my high school friends does this kind of stuff for a living and he offered some advice for what to choose. This was his 2nd from the cheapest pick. I am super happy with the performance, ease of use, quick to heat up. Does exactly what I wanted it to do. If you are just a hobbyist looking for something that works well. This is it.

After years of piddling with hardware store and Radio Shack junky irons this is a blessing! I wouldnt change a thing. I just wish I hadnt waited forty+ years to buy one.
