Awesome! These things solder so good, they will make you feel like a pro. I have had several irons over the years, and none compared to this.

Nice to have a good soldering iron for once. This one comes with all the tips I think I will need. Heats up fast and stays clean.

Since my previous review was rejected by a robot that doesnt understand slang superlatives let me try this again: I owned one if those orange Weller units for years, this *edit* is far superior *end edit*. The only knock on it is the toy-like color scheme, which I addressed with a custom cut vinyl sticker. Some Kester 63/37 solder and this unit and you cover a lot of soldering...

This unit heats up quickly and is much more convenient than the plug-in irons with no control. Came with everything I needed except solder. Instructions were clear. I have soldered some wires to small contacts using a small tip. I got a good, strong, shiny solder joint without heating up everything around the part. Cords are long enough so that I could put the iron at the back of the bench off to the side and the controller on a shelf directly overhead. I know I will enjoy using this soldering station.

Extremely good iron. I use it at work every day and is very consistent heats up fast and very durable. I have had this iron for 2.5 years now. Worth every penny.

This soldering iron heats up quickly and stays hot! It comes with soo many tips, and is really easy to use!

After years of piddling with hardware store and Radio Shack junky irons this is a blessing! I wouldnt change a thing. I just wish I hadnt waited forty+ years to buy one.
