> 3 dayLike many people that need to heat their homes, the heat combined with the dry winter air leads to fairly low humidity indoors. My thermometer/hydrometer shows a humidity level of around 20-25% without any help, which is quite a bit lower than recommended (which is around 30-40%). I have used several humidifiers in the past, of all different types, but theyve generally all had water reservoirs that were difficult to clean, other parts/mechanisms that were difficult to clean, or filters that were expensive and needed constant replacing. These are not random humidifiers either, but ones recommended by pretty trustworthy sites! Anyway onto this Homvana humidifier. This is an ultrasonic, cool mist humidifier, so theres basically a vibrating pad that generates a mist. Unlike steaming units, the mist is cool so theres no burn danger. It has a nozzle on top that you can rotate to slightly affect the direction of the mist, but it does basically go straight up. In terms of effectiveness, I am using this in my living room which is about 200 sq ft, though attached to a hallway (though my home is only like 700 sq ft in total, so not huge). After running it for about 12 hours, it brought the humidity up from 26% to 35%, about 10%. Ive only been using it for less than a day, so I will update after Ive used it for a few days, but the output may be suited only to smaller rooms like a bedroom. This Homvana humidifier is pretty easy to clean. All the electronic parts are in the top; the base is just a big container for the water. No tiny openings, no hard corners, so its very easy to clean. The instructions indicate that the only thing to clean in the top part is the ultrasonic part at the bottom of the stem. Theres an opening so you can refill the water without needing to take off the top, though if you have a lot of water to refill its easier to just open it and fill it up, though youll have to find a place to put the top part down while you refill the bottom water reservoir. Ill report after a month or so what kind of gunk builds up inside using purified water (run through a water filter). Note that the power cord plugs into the top part, so its a little unsightly. In terms of features, this covers all the basics -- you get 3 different levels of output, a sleep timer, and an auto mode that tries to keep the humidity level around 60%. This does also report the humidity level and its pretty close to my thermometer/hydrometer. This has a light that is fairly soft and could be used as a night light; theres several colors that you can cycle through. So far, while the output seems a bit less than claimed, it is shaping up to be a good humidifier -- Ill update my review in a month or so to reflect how easy or not it is to clean and keep running.

> 3 dayWith the weather getting colder, and the air getting dryer, this is going to be very useful. I have another hot humidifier that Ive been using, but you can hear it bubbling and hissing during the night. This one is super quiet. It also has a nice glowing light - you can let it cycle or select your favorite color. A very nice feature is the night mode which turns off all the lights on the unit, including the display. This makes it great for use in the bedroom at night especially for people who are bothered by having lights in the bedroom when sleeping. I like that it has a large water reservoir. I just placed the reservoir in my kitchen sink, filled it and then put the top on. It has a very effective design as it doesnt drip water when you move it around.

> 3 dayI got this to try in my office since it gets so dry especially in the winter. We’re always getting shocked & afraid of knocking out a computer. It’s very quiet & works well. Only disadvantage is that it takes forever to fill. You have to fill it through the top & it takes almost 10 minutes because it drains into the chamber so slow. Only other option is to take the top off every time. Other than that it’s doing the trick so far & like that it’s so compact. Just don’t let it get too low on the water level!

Greater than one weekThis one checked all the boxes for me, good mist/humidity output, timer, sleep mode, light, top fill, and easy to clean! You really can’t ask for more and even better as all of these features are easy to use. Instruction manual provided throughout and clear instructions on each feature. Includes a cleaning brush, two extra/back up felt patches for essential oil drops (these can be washed and reused!) and a adhesive wall hook for the cord. Has three mist levels, high-med-low which has humidity level outputs as high <43%, med 43-%-62-%, low >62-%. Low was comfortable overnight in bedroom, the essential oil pad is nice pops right out, 3 drops of oil was the perfect amount for me with a full tank. Top easily detaches for super easy cleaning or filling, additionally can be filled at top without disassembling. Auto feature is handy also holding a steady 60% humidity. Very very pleased and fairly priced compared to name brands that have less features.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent humidifier for one of my spare bedrooms, which is around 375 sq.ft. With a 5L tank, it can operate for about 4 days between refills with the humidity level set to 45%. It’s also very quiet, with the ability to set it to sleep mode. The all-plastic construction appears a bit flimsier than most other humidifiers in this class. But I like that all the control functions are located on the top; makes it easier to use. The unibody design is also very unique in this class of humidifiers; makes it a breeze to refill and clean without risking spilling water along the way. The onboard hygrometer measurements seem to be higher than the external hygrometer that I have, by about 5 to 8%. So, I adjust the target humidity level accordingly. I have not used the essential oil feature, as I don’t want to add fragrance to the air.
