> 3 dayThe first thing I noticed when I took this out of the box is how pretty it is. Its very sleek. It has an almost frosted glass look to it. The buttons are touch sensitive instead of sticking out and it has a small screen which displays all the information. Its small and compact while still holding a gallon of water. The instructions to set it up were very simple and concise. I had no problems with it. The essential oil diffuser made this a must have purchase for me. You only need 2-3 drops of oil and you can smell it thoroughly. Theres a separate tray specifically for the oil, which they are clear to indicate in the instructions. The only problem I have with the design of this is the two spouts the mist comes out of. Its two circles that diffuse it. The problem is, you can only spin the smaller one to change the direction of the mist. As most people would probably have this on a table by a wall, the majority of the mist would spray behind the humidifier towards the wall. You cant turn it around because then the buttons on the top would be facing the wall. Youre meant to set the humidifier up at least 12 inches from a wall, but I dont think thats enough room for most of the mist to avoid the wall. Overall, I highly recommend this. Its very attractive and compact. It works very efficiently at spraying the mist (although, it would go towards the wall if you set it up like that) and the LED lights and essential oil diffuser are amazing.

> 3 dayThey have instant-on humidification as a standard feature these days, so how do you distinguish your humidifier these days? Homvana has gone with an organic, bubbly design style with a frosted reservoir, LED lighting, soft-touch top-mounted controls, and a round amber-on-black display. There is also a spigot to drop in fragrance to add to the humidification. Its well-made, smooth all-around, and the industrial design is well-resolved. It also works well. Recommended.

Greater than one weekThis humidifier has a large tank so it will last quite awhile before you refill it. It also has a light option which I rarely use as I turn this on at night and any kind of light will make it hard for me to sleep. Fortunately it does work quietly (no dripping noises) and it keeps the air moist and I can tell the difference when I wake up in the morning. Theres also a tray that you can eject -you can add essential oil but I rarely do as it leaves a greasy residue which you have to clean later. What it lacks in design (I find it rather plain looking and a little bulky) it makes up for in holding a lot of water so you dont have to keep refilling it. But I like humidifiers that are smaller and go better with my decor.

> 3 dayIf you have allergies like me, having a cool mist humidifier is a must have. I love that this humidifier can run continuously for 32hrs before needing to be refilled. The top fill feature is amazing...no more leaking issues or headache of having to dismantle in order to refill, The soft lighting feature is very relaxing at night, especially if you have a child that loves a nightlight. But one of my favorite features of this humidifier is the ability to add essential oils to it, which help with sinus congestion or headaches. Would highly recommend this humidifier to anyone!

> 3 dayGreat humidifier for the dry winter heating months. Humidity control, ample water capacity, and interesting LED lights. Also has a spot for essential oils, I have not tried this feature.

Greater than one weekLike many people that need to heat their homes, the heat combined with the dry winter air leads to fairly low humidity indoors. My thermometer/hydrometer shows a humidity level of around 20-25% without any help, which is quite a bit lower than recommended (which is around 30-40%). I have used several humidifiers in the past, of all different types, but theyve generally all had water reservoirs that were difficult to clean, other parts/mechanisms that were difficult to clean, or filters that were expensive and needed constant replacing. These are not random humidifiers either, but ones recommended by pretty trustworthy sites! Anyway onto this Homvana humidifier. This is an ultrasonic, cool mist humidifier, so theres basically a vibrating pad that generates a mist. Unlike steaming units, the mist is cool so theres no burn danger. It has a nozzle on top that you can rotate to slightly affect the direction of the mist, but it does basically go straight up. In terms of effectiveness, I am using this in my living room which is about 200 sq ft, though attached to a hallway (though my home is only like 700 sq ft in total, so not huge). After running it for about 12 hours, it brought the humidity up from 26% to 35%, about 10%. Ive only been using it for less than a day, so I will update after Ive used it for a few days, but the output may be suited only to smaller rooms like a bedroom. This Homvana humidifier is pretty easy to clean. All the electronic parts are in the top; the base is just a big container for the water. No tiny openings, no hard corners, so its very easy to clean. The instructions indicate that the only thing to clean in the top part is the ultrasonic part at the bottom of the stem. Theres an opening so you can refill the water without needing to take off the top, though if you have a lot of water to refill its easier to just open it and fill it up, though youll have to find a place to put the top part down while you refill the bottom water reservoir. Ill report after a month or so what kind of gunk builds up inside using purified water (run through a water filter). Note that the power cord plugs into the top part, so its a little unsightly. In terms of features, this covers all the basics -- you get 3 different levels of output, a sleep timer, and an auto mode that tries to keep the humidity level around 60%. This does also report the humidity level and its pretty close to my thermometer/hydrometer. This has a light that is fairly soft and could be used as a night light; theres several colors that you can cycle through. So far, while the output seems a bit less than claimed, it is shaping up to be a good humidifier -- Ill update my review in a month or so to reflect how easy or not it is to clean and keep running.
