> 3 dayI like this humidifier a lot, mostly because it is easy to use. Refilling is simple and quick, you can just rest it under the faucet and wait. Since its a bit bottom heavy it doesnt knock over easily. The controls are all self explanatory. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars is because the highest mist setting still seems a little weak to me. Otherwise I like this a lot!

> 3 dayI have used this for about a month and am really happy with it so far. Adjustable mist level and timer functions are two huge upgrades from my previous model. Also like that it doesn’t splash easily when moved as I bring it to different rooms throughout the day / night.

Greater than one weekI like the design of this humidifier, and its super quiet and easy to use. Okay for a very small bedroom with the door closed, but no good for anything bigger. My bedroom is only about 65ft2/6m2 and I was only able to get the humidity to 40% after a night of running it on high. In the rest of the condo (with the doors to washroom, bedroom, and laundry closed) I cant get humidity any higher than 20% as measured by the machine. I believe the lowest it goes is 20%, because my standalone hygrometer shows markedly lower than that. Without any added moisture, my condo goes as low as 10% humidity but usually sits at 15% on my hygrometer. Its not listed here anywhere, but on the box it lists the coverage as 323 ft2/30 m2--I highly doubt this claim, but its definitely not enough for my situation (my condo is a total of 560 ft2 but this includes all rooms). I also noticed fine white dust around where I situated the humidifier, but my water does run a little hard and I didnt use purified or filtered water--its just not practical to put 5L of that into this machine every day and a half or so, since I have to run it on high constantly. The tank is also a little cumbersome to move after its been filled, since theres no handle but its not impossible. The cleaning is not too bad since the atomizer has a cover you can remove, plus the tank itself is very good. Its just a shame that its not powerful enough for me. ------------------------------------ The above is the original 3 star review for the humidifier, and I stand by it. I have, however, upgraded my overall review to 4 star because the Homvana customer service is 5 star. They contacted me after seeing my review and offered to send their warm/cool mist humidifier that cover 800 sq ft for free, which came quickly and works better. I ran both humidifiers and was able to get my humidity to a comfy 35% after half a day. For full transparency, I will say that they did also ask for a rating upgrade, but I appreciate the service enough that I was willing to do so. For what its worth, if your air is really dry and you have a medium area youre trying to humidifier, the warm/cool model does make a much more noticeable difference. That one uses far more electricity and is a lot more difficult to fill and clean though, so if youre looking to add just a bit more moisture to a small space, this model is alright.

> 3 dayIve been really happy with this humidifier. Its well made and very quiet. The top fill is super convenient and means you dont have to lug a big water tank around to fill it up - you can just fill up a water jug and bring it over. You can get a good range of humidifier mist levels on this, so depending on your use case you can prioritize maximizing humidification vs using the water more efficiently and spreading it out. I like the ability to add essential oils to this - can really help to create a more relaxing space wherever you are. This is able to read and set your humidification level without issue. I did find it tended to read a bit high compared to my other external hydrometers, but this is a fairly common issue with these hudmifiers so youll likely want to set it a bit higher than what youre actually looking for. Overall a great option for a well made, reasonably priced humidifier!

> 3 dayI got this humidifier to replace my old one. And boy am I glad I did. This humidifier has a very large tank. I ran it all night on full blast starting in the winter because my heat really dries out the air in my apartment and my wife and I usually get nose bleeds because of it. It not only lasted through the night, but several hours into the morning. It still had some water in it about 12 hours of running non-stop into Saturday. It has a display that tells you how humid the room is. I started it at 32% humidity, and by the time I turned it off near eleven the next morning, it read 52%. So I rose the humidity in the bedroom by 20%! Thats pretty darn good! I did have the door closed, so that may have helped. The tank has a color changing light that looks nice, but I turned the light off so we could sleep. It also is stunningly silent. I barely heard it. And at one point I woke up to go to the bathroom and wondered if it was still on and had to go check it because its so quiet. I LOVE this humidifier. Best one Ive ever had.

> 3 dayI got this for my sons room. His skin tends to dry up a lot so a humidifier was required. I’d say It’s stylish. Really adds to the modernness of our home. Also very functional, works perfectly. The essential oil compartment is cool but we don’t really smell it that much in the air. Love that there’re different different settings, and most importantly my kiddo is sleeping better at night. Now when the winters are on the way & the heating are turned on, this humidifier will make the breathing easy. With its good capacity of 5 litres of water, we won’t have to constantly add water into it all the time. I’d highly recommend this to all homes.

Greater than one week-UPDATE: Easily, the best feature of this purchase is Homvanas superb customer service. The customer service representative was polite, persistent and went out of her way to ensure customer satisfaction. While I did not enjoy this particular unit, I recommend that you check out the newer model of this product. I decided to try this unit because it had a number of features I am looking for in a humidifier. The Pros: -Easy to use; setup was a breeze, just fill it up and plug in. I read the instruction manual, but I like when buttons are intuitive right out of the box. -Fill up is a breeze, you can pour water into the top drain without moving anything (about a drinking glass at a time because it needs to time to drain), or you can remove the entire top if filling with a pitcher but note that the top unit can secrete quite a bit of water if removed for even just a few seconds; I just turn the top perpendicularly and rest it on the rim during the refill process so the inner column can simply leak into the unit. Another reviewer cautioned that the power supply might be difficult to replace but the benefit is that it can be detached easily from the back of the machine, so if you bring the machine to a sink to refill or clean, you dont have to deal with a dangling power cord. No handles to facilitate carrying but the unit is easy enough to grip and carry, even full of water (i tried several different room positions at first and moved it around with ease). -No filter to replace! There is a spongy filter for the small aroma tray that pulls out but I am personally not interested in that feature. -I like the sleek, compact design and even with opaque sides it is perfectly easy to see how much water remains in the tank. -I love that it has a small footprint despite having a larger water tank capacity. I can put this on my small beside table and it takes up surprisingly little space. -The base is one single bucket-like unit so it would be difficult to imagine how it could ever leak. Other points: -This machine is quiet; as mentioned, i have this on my bedside table where I sleep and if I concentrate, I can detect the machine operating but it is not enough to keep me awake. I have a water cooler, mini fridge and a fan in the room and it is certainly not any louder than those appliances. -LED lights, while I think this is a positive feature, there would have been nice if there was a way to increase or decrease the intensity because its not enough for ambient lighting in the evening and it might be too bright for some if kept next to where you sleep. Light can easily be switched or toggled on and off with multiple presses of a single button. The machine looks quite nice illuminated. -Accurate hygrometer; I purchased a separate one when purchasing this unit to measure humidity throughout the apartment and currently they are right next to each other with only a single degree of difference... The cons: ... but this brings me to the biggest drawback which is that this unit is just not that powerful. I have a small to medium sized bedroom and after running the unit on its max setting for 24 hours with the door closed, it only managed to raise humidity from 22 to 27 degrees. After four days of blasting it at max power , I am currently sitting at 33 degrees and it doesnt seem to go any higher. Unfortunately, this drops off considerably even just a few feet away from the machine. My old clunker of a humidifier is a bottom-filling, leaky mess that I bought in 2014 and it does a much better job than this brand new unit :( -No backlit buttons. While the interface is easy to use, the glow of the machine is not sufficient to see the buttons which are also completely flat so you cant feel them either making it more difficult to change settings in low to no light. -Display is situated on the top of the machine which means getting a reading from across the room (e.g. humidity level, remaining cycle time, auto mode/level) may be hard at a glance. -No remote control/app; personally I am fed up with remote controls because I have a Dyson fan, mood light, A/C unit all with remotes and it is nice to not have to deal with another one but I know other people may feel differently. Summary: I really wanted to love this machine, especially at its current price point but despite a number of great features such as an attractive design, ease of use/refill, large water capacity, LED lights, quiet operation, etc. it fails in its main objective to significantly change air humidity. I am currently looking for another alternative and will be returning this unit soon.
