> 24 hourIt took longer to unpackage it than to put it together. Five minutes without instructions. 3 speeds. Low puts out what feels like the equivalent to high on my old tower fan and is what I would consider to be very quiet. I would describe the high setting as almost ridiculous for a fan of this size and surprisingly quiet for the amount of air it’s pulling through it. Really impressive wind to noise ratio. Nowhere near as loud as my last box fan and pretty close to the same output. Anyone who says this fan is too weak for a bedroom should be looking at wind tunnels and not budget room fans. The 3 modes are steady state, breezy, and variable (night). Breezy runs pretty strong and simulates a gusting breeze. The night setting seems very similar but with a wider spread between high and low (almost coming to a stop at times). The oscillation is a medium quick 90°. No rattles, vibration, or clicking from the unit. Overall it seems smooth and quiet. Round base isn’t super heavy so not too bad to move it around. It feels stable enough but a mildly rambunctious dog or kid could knock it over. Slight negatives: no batteries for the remote (c’mon Honeywell...) Not a ton of vertical adjustment. You get about 5” from lowest to highest. The low speed setting is still pretty strong. The night mode still “gusts” fairly strongly, even on the lowest speed. I’ve never had a fan with a remote before but now that I have one it’s kind of handy. Unless this thing dies after a few months I have no complaints and would deem this to be a solid buy. I’m already thinking about getting another one.

> 24 hourThis fan is easy to assemble. It took me ~10 minutes. The cap on the fan shaft had to be turned clockwise to remove it. The fan has 3 speeds and 3 types of air circulation (constant, variable quiet for sleeping, and variable strong). I measure the noise at 6 feet with a decibel meter. At the lowest constant speed, noise is ~44db. At the highest constant speed, it is ~58db, definitely noisy. Using variable quiet speeds for sleeping, noise fluctuates between 33db and 51db. Frankly, I do not like the variable cycling noise generated by this variable cycle at all. It stays at 33db for no more than a few seconds. I also have the Honeywell Quietset Pedestal fan and that one is much quieter. At the slowest speed, the noise is 32db. The next speed #2 level brings 35db. The next speed #3 is 38db. Speed #4 is 41db. Speed #5 is 45db. All measurements are looking straight at the fans. When the fan oscillates, noise will vary since when the electric motor is sideways to the microphone, noise will be 1-2db higher. In terms of airflow strength, the double fan is stronger, but for sleeping, I prefer the Quietset fan. Its slowest and quietest speed is good enough.

> 24 hourso far, its a better fan than my last one! Lets hope it lasts longer! Its got a strong wind but not too loud, the fan cover is all metal which means it wont snap easily. Lost 1 star for construction and the remote control. Mostly, it was easy to put together with all parts in situ and no tools needed--which is great--but there are no instructions on how to put the head assembly into the extension pole (I eventually found a youtube video). The remote control has symbols Ive never seen before and its hard to figure out. I only recognized the on-off button. Im gonna have to label it.

> 24 hourI wanted to replace the floor fan we have that is just too loud even on a low setting. We have a Rowenta Turbo Silence in our bedroom but their floor fans are over $150. This Honeywell is only $50 and claimed to be quiet. And has a remote... Sounded like a deal. If it were not for the cheap price, it would be a 3 star product. PROS: 1. Cost. 2. Easy installation. It appears easy to take apart as well for periodic dust removal. CONS: 1. The base is very cheap. It started to crumble in my hand as I grabbed it to start the installation. See the pic. Its got two chunks missing and it want even set up. 2. It is NOT all that quiet. Compared to my old stand fan, its a bit better. (So I am keeping it). But its quiet mode should be described as annoying... High/Low or On/Off... It would not be appropriate for sleeping. The description is misleading. If you think youre getting a low-noise fan, keep looking.

> 24 hourVery few products are beyond my expectations but this fan is. I had it assembled in less than an hour--not bad for this 83 yr. old granny. Its very quiet. The best thing about this fan is it feels like a breeze not a wind. I was also surprised it reached the far side of the room, about 18 away. Id give it 10 stars if it were possible.

> 24 hourI just unboxed and easily assembled my new fan. First impression was how heavy and stable this fan was. The base was vinyl lined metal and the stand and fan cage also metal. I’ve only been running it for a half hour but the double bladed fan is quiet and able to move a considerable volume of air. For this reasonable price, I was very pleased and would say that this fan is one of my more successful purchases.

> 24 hourThe fact that this came with no extended warranty (and a rather high price tag compared to other fans) it’s worrisome to me; l hope it last. It’s rather heavy duty. I have a lot of experience putting fans together, so I was ok. Less experienced people would probably feel otherwise. I wanted a fan with a good remote, good brand and that provided a strong wind. In those fronts it delivers. It has a good range of motion and on slow and medium you can barely hear it; on high you do but it ain’t too bad. However, that extra blade? I find it GIMMICKY. I don’t feel that it provides me of any benefit. It was kind of a pain to install two blades so I kinda dread fan cleaning time now. The apparent purpose of that smaller blade is for something that I really don’t like: a variable speed option. It has its intended purposes, but instead of slowing the fan down and up it pretty much turn it off and back on (which made me panic because I thought that there was something wrong with the fan.) But I re-read the manual (a manual. For a fan. Next: a manual for sandals) and it’s a feature designed to provide the user with a calmer sleep. Well it made me panic so, so much for calm. If you are in the market for a sturdy, strong fan with a responsive, easily laid out remote control, the Honeywell Double Blade delivers. But the rest is really nothing to call grandma about.

> 24 hourThis Honeywell fan is well worth the price. The base is a heavy metal plate - it has a slight lean, but nothing like any of the other fans Ive owned where they look like theyre going to topple over. The motor housing unit is pretty heavy for a fan. When I turn it off after having it on for 8-12 plus hours, its cool to the touch. It has the 2 blade technology that allows more air to flow towards you. I love that feature! Its fairly quiet. The fan to the left sitting on the floor is a powerhouse commercial-like fan youd find in a warehouse, it blows a TREMENDOUS amount of air. But its also incredibly NOISY. I use that one to help keep me asleep (have sleep issues? go buy one from Walmart). I read a couple reviews where people said that cages that cover the blades is a little tricky. The little metal pieces that should slide down easily to hold the 2 cage pieces together - it is a bear to get them to close. I only had problems with 2 of them. But they arent really that big of a deal, mine dont hang open. Havent gotten batteries for the remote so cant give that a rating.
