Greater than one weekI bought this for a 2nd time to replace my original which was having some whining noise. Turns out that the replacement is worse than the original and has some wobbling noise that seems to be stemming from the motor. I let it go past the return date for Amazon and have been dealing with the manufacturer. So far the process is slow. It took them 10 days to get back to me on the original request. Im still dealing with the process now. With that said, this is still my favorite fan. Ive bought many newer fans here on Amazon that have the dual fan and each one of those the noise was too quiet for me and the fan itself wasnt powerful enough (16 w/ dual fan vs this 18 single blade fan). The one thing I dont like is that theyve switched up how the front plate attaches to the back plate - it is a downgrade. They used snap into place with about 8 hooks on the backplate, but now the frontplate just attaches to the back. There arent any notches on the new version and Im finding that the frontplate is literally shaking loose, which might be due to the wobbling Im experiencing from the motor.

> 3 dayMy living room is hot. There is no shade at the front of my home, ever. The summer time is as if the sun is peeking into my front window like a kid at a candy shop. Instead of candy-lust stares I get massive amounts of UV radiation. Most summers my AC will run non-stop between 2pm and 8pm. This little guy helped keep me and my family nice and cool. The oscillating feature is the main reason I bought this. Most days I was able to run this fan on low or medium while bumping my thermostat up 2-3 degrees. The breeze helped keep us cool and we were able to save some energy by giving the AC a tiny break. The remote works well and is easy to toggle through all the functions. I really enjoy the breeze mode. It makes it feel like I am outside enjoying a variable strength breeze. Its not very noisy in my opinion, except when its on high. But its still not very disruptive to whatever else is going on. If youre having a hard time staying cool then I would recommend getting this fan.

21-11-2024I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE my fan !! I’ve had it two years and it still works like it’s new! I’ve never had any issues, super easy to assemble. Easy to take apart and clean. Highly recommend!!! Love my Honeywell fan. !!!

> 3 dayOh man…I was super upset that I had to pay $40+ for this fan because the last one I bought was $20. Needless to say it was an old fan. This one arrived one day faster than expected which was awesome. However, the best part is…it’s great! I didn’t use the instructions. I’ve put enough fans together. So I can’t tell you how those are. The remote is amazing! The wind is strong. I leave my ac tuned in at 76 throughout the day. The fan makes it feel like 70. Not to mention that I can leave it a good 5 feet from my bed and still feel it as if my old one was right beside my head. Update: My only complaint is that it seems noisy now. Idk if its because its been used now or what. It wasnt to bad at first. Now its loud enough to keep me from going to sleep at night on the highest setting.

> 3 dayQuiet, reliable and well-built. The base is surprisingly heavy, which is a nice touch (no chance of tipping over). I bought this to replace an older Honeywell of pretty similar make and feature set that Id been using pretty much every night since 06. That motor finally called it a day, so not a bad run. This model is noticeably quieter on the lowest setting, if that matters to you. It also has two blue led lights on the front display, although I havent noticed these illuminating the room that appreciably (about as much as a small clock radio would, Id say). Fully extended, it stands 47 inches. It has a remote, but can be operated at the base as well. Has tilt and oscillate, though I use neither. Has sleep timers of 1, 2, 4, and 8 hours. It has three speed settings, and three flow modes (variable, breeze, and constant). On low, which is what I tend to use, it moves a considerable amount of air for its size. The grill is a lightweight, coated (painted) metal, as is the pole (polished aluminum), fan shaft and motor. Everything else is plastic. The plug has a built in safety fuse. I would be surprised if this one didnt last at least as long as my previous Honeywell fan did. Hope this review was useful.

Greater than one weekIt is a good fan, but the assembly instructions were absolutely terrible -- Im surprised Honeywell would put its name on a product with such incoherent and confusing instructions.

> 3 dayUnfortunately, I go through a lot of fans. I bought this one for upstairs [although its currently downstairs]. Like many homes, the second floor is hotter due to the sun coming through the window and the AC isnt enough to keep it cool. There are several different air speeds, which can be controlled manually or via remote. The biggest features include its well made material [which is well made and not too heavy when moving around the house], several different air flow options, easy to clean (especially important when you have doggies in the house), and its ability to cover a large space. Unlike other fans, I never get cold. The remote is sleek, lightweight and easy to use. The negatives: a) its kinda quiet [which depends on the person] which I dont mind upstairs but when sleeping prefer it to be a little louder, b) the remote doesnt light up at night. Therefore, if you wake up in the middle of the night and need to adjust will need to pull out your cell phone to see the display and c) the red light display at night. Its almost like a light on a cable box, but if youre a light sleeper--sometimes it makes it harder to sleep. Overall though, highly satisfied great fan!!!!

> 3 dayI was given this fan as a birthday gift, and that one appeared broken. The head of the fan was tilted and couldnt be straightened. Also, the extension pole was missing. Rather than contacting my sister in law who bought it and go through the hassle of returning it, I decided to just buy one myself. Well, this one has the exact same problems. I specifically wanted this fan, among other reasons, BECAUSE it could be raised to just the right height to blow on me when Im in bed. Thats impossible though without the extension pole. This fan may work if it has all the parts, but I dont know. They quality control of the company obviously leaves a lot to be desired. This has been a big disappointment along with a waste of money. Edit: Apparently, the extension pole is INSIDE the other pole. Nowhere in the directions does it tell you this. I loosened the screw at the bottom of the fan head and was able to tilt it. I now have the fan working and it seems to work well. However, the directions for the fan leave MUCH to be desired. Although this fan is actually easy to put together, once you figure it out, the directions are not very clear. Also, it should tell you how to find the extension pole. I have a feeling that is the same problem everyone else who said theres had no extension pole had. They probably have one, but dont know to look in the other pole. Once you get this put together, it seems to be a good fan. But good luck figuring out how to put it together.

> 3 dayIve had two of these for nearly a year, and theyve been flawless so far. Ive bought a gazillion fans over the last 30 years, and one feature that I always look for is ease of cleaning. The cage and blades are inevitably going to get filthy and reduce efficiency. There are quite a few fans out there that have protective covers that are pretty easy to take off, but the blades and rear cage wont come off without some work. With this fan, it ALL comes apart in about 20 seconds flat and zero tools. Blades and BOTH sides of the protective cages. I can take them all off in 20 seconds, spray them off in the shower, and re-assemble them in a couple minutes. And they look like NEW!!! I dont need to use any rags or tools like on so many other fans. This is the most ridiculously easy-to-clean fan that Ive ever seen. And of course cleaning it will increase its efficiency. I just dont understand why other fan makers dont follow the idea of making a fan hella easy to clean.
