Very few products are beyond my expectations but this fan is. I had it assembled in less than an hour--not bad for this 83 yr. old granny. Its very quiet. The best thing about this fan is it feels like a breeze not a wind. I was also surprised it reached the far side of the room, about 18 away. Id give it 10 stars if it were possible.

On the whole I am very pleased with this fan. There is another product, the Amazon Basics fan, which is quite similar and it is slightly cheaper. However, this fan is noticeably more powerful. At high speed, the fan has strong airflow. It is quiet at low speed. The remote is sensible, the variance of speeds is broad, and the oscillation covers a wide angle. The intermittent speed function is of no interest to me, but it is a unique feature that may be appreciated by some consumers. The fan is stable at high speed, because the base has a nice weight to it. It also has an extra propeller that attaches to the main blade. Perhaps this adds to its effectiveness. And finally, the fan has a metal grille, which I would think would hold up better than plastic, if the fan were to be knocked over. Now for the criticisms: The fan is not tall enough for me. I originally hoped to use it while on my treadmill, but even with the fan tilted, the air stream is not quite high enough. Also, when I pick up and move the fan, it tends to swivel on its axis, so that the motor and pedestal no longer line up. I have line it up again in order to use the tilt feature. It makes the unit feel a bit flimsy. Assembly is a bit tricky. The metal clips that hold the grille in place required pressure from a pliers in order to fully attach. No biggie. [Now a note about the Amazon Basics fan: it is remarkably similar to this model. The features are largely identical but the power is somewhat less (Id say 15%). The intermittent feature was lacking, and the base is lighter than that of the Honeywell. Also, the grille is plastic, not metal. However, the Amazon fan is taller than the Honeywell. I own both, and I have reviewed the Amazon Basics pedestal fan as well.]

We needed an additional fan stat in this heatwave. Last month we bought a Lasko fan and wanted to try a different brand to compare. Below are observations between this Honeywell and Lasko 18 pedestal fan: Speed/Power: Lasko has 5-blades, 4-speeds. Speed 1-2 are similar and bumps up at 3 but speed 4 is pretty similar to speed 3. Honeywell has 3 speeds and theres enough of a notable difference between 1 and 3. Honestly, you really only need 3 speeds. Both brands oscillate just fine. Given the larger diameter and 5-blades, Lasko fan provides what feels like stronger air flow. Noise: Perhaps due to the larger diameter of the Lasko blades, the Lasko fan is really loud. We have it set up in the bedroom as a surrogate white noise machine. It drowns out the outside noise when we have the window open. Not sure if its the LA paper walls, but the vibrations of the fan can be heard in the next room. In comparison, Honeywell is significantly quieter than the Lasko fan. Its not silent but I can have the Honeywell fan on, watch tv or have a Zoom call without interference. Well see after some use if the noise level changes. Assembly: Lasko fan is all plastic except for the pole and motor. Honeywell has a metal grill, cement base, and metal motor rod. Both fans have plastic blades. The metal cage on the Honeywell attached more securely than the Lasko plastic grill which snaps. I am still concerned the Lasko grill will pop off one day and were found decapitated in our sleep. Instructions for the Honeywell are not as clear as the Lasko fan manual. Both are simple enough to put together but a few steps in Honeywell instructions were not clearly described and we had to assemble based on logic. I hope the piece that didnt fit to anything was not essential... Lastly, the base footprint of the Honeywell is much smaller and sturdier. Extra features: I like the idea of the different air flow options on the Honeywell but we havent really used the other options except for constant flow. Honeywell also has up to an 8-hour timer. Lasko only offers a 1-2 hour timer which is probably just good for naps? Stay cool everyone!

I use these fans daily. One is in my room to circulate the air and it does a great job at pushing air at low noise., the remote is easy to use and has great signal strength so you can use it at a distance. This was easy to assemble and a must to keep my room nice and cool, highly recommend

I bought this for a 2nd time to replace my original which was having some whining noise. Turns out that the replacement is worse than the original and has some wobbling noise that seems to be stemming from the motor. I let it go past the return date for Amazon and have been dealing with the manufacturer. So far the process is slow. It took them 10 days to get back to me on the original request. Im still dealing with the process now. With that said, this is still my favorite fan. Ive bought many newer fans here on Amazon that have the dual fan and each one of those the noise was too quiet for me and the fan itself wasnt powerful enough (16 w/ dual fan vs this 18 single blade fan). The one thing I dont like is that theyve switched up how the front plate attaches to the back plate - it is a downgrade. They used snap into place with about 8 hooks on the backplate, but now the frontplate just attaches to the back. There arent any notches on the new version and Im finding that the frontplate is literally shaking loose, which might be due to the wobbling Im experiencing from the motor.

so far, its a better fan than my last one! Lets hope it lasts longer! Its got a strong wind but not too loud, the fan cover is all metal which means it wont snap easily. Lost 1 star for construction and the remote control. Mostly, it was easy to put together with all parts in situ and no tools needed--which is great--but there are no instructions on how to put the head assembly into the extension pole (I eventually found a youtube video). The remote control has symbols Ive never seen before and its hard to figure out. I only recognized the on-off button. Im gonna have to label it.

A LITTLE ON THE LOUD SIDE

It took longer to unpackage it than to put it together. Five minutes without instructions. 3 speeds. Low puts out what feels like the equivalent to high on my old tower fan and is what I would consider to be very quiet. I would describe the high setting as almost ridiculous for a fan of this size and surprisingly quiet for the amount of air it’s pulling through it. Really impressive wind to noise ratio. Nowhere near as loud as my last box fan and pretty close to the same output. Anyone who says this fan is too weak for a bedroom should be looking at wind tunnels and not budget room fans. The 3 modes are steady state, breezy, and variable (night). Breezy runs pretty strong and simulates a gusting breeze. The night setting seems very similar but with a wider spread between high and low (almost coming to a stop at times). The oscillation is a medium quick 90°. No rattles, vibration, or clicking from the unit. Overall it seems smooth and quiet. Round base isn’t super heavy so not too bad to move it around. It feels stable enough but a mildly rambunctious dog or kid could knock it over. Slight negatives: no batteries for the remote (c’mon Honeywell...) Not a ton of vertical adjustment. You get about 5” from lowest to highest. The low speed setting is still pretty strong. The night mode still “gusts” fairly strongly, even on the lowest speed. I’ve never had a fan with a remote before but now that I have one it’s kind of handy. Unless this thing dies after a few months I have no complaints and would deem this to be a solid buy. I’m already thinking about getting another one.

I just unboxed and easily assembled my new fan. First impression was how heavy and stable this fan was. The base was vinyl lined metal and the stand and fan cage also metal. I’ve only been running it for a half hour but the double bladed fan is quiet and able to move a considerable volume of air. For this reasonable price, I was very pleased and would say that this fan is one of my more successful purchases.

The old fan stopped oscillating (broken plastic part), so we needed a new one. As this occurred during the massive heat wave, nothing was available in the stores, so I ordered this one. I am very impressed with the quality (always get metal grilles - plastic ones are too thick and cut air flow considerably) of this fan. The pedestal actually gets a screw on nut under the base to keep it attached (many fans simply have the pedestal drop into a hole in the base with no clips or other locking mechanism). I saw a similar fan under a different brand for less, but noted that the weight of the other one was about 3 pounds lighter, so I selected this one. The base is heavy, but not overly wide. The remote works well, the fan blows well. The three speed settings are plenty. The low setting is great for sleeping. But, because it is smaller at 16 vs. 18 of the old one, it does not move as much air, but still enough to be comfortable.
