> 24 hourI have these on several vehicles- great quality. ALWAYS use the combination adapters like this so if you need to tow a trailer with either connector, you can. I learned that the hard way when I had an axle failure on my car trailer away from home- I had to get a rental trailer to get my race car home while I left the other trailer at a friends house while I had to order a new axle for it. Being able to slap a rental trailer on without buying an adapter is awesome. You never know when you may want to tow something for a friend or whatever. Its also no more wiring involved to have this combo unit.

> 24 hourThis adapter gives you a flexible solution to the 4 pin vs.7 pin trailer connection. It has BOTH connectors in one unit and the mount accommodates both of them. I have a small utility trailer that has the 4 pin connection, and a travel trailer that has the 7 pin connector. This make it simple to hook up either trailer.

> 24 hourI trailer my racecar if I have to travel more than an hour or two to a track. I usually rent a truck (Ford F-150). The rental truck comes with a 4-pin connector for lights, but not for the electric brakes. This adapter (Hopkins 47185) allows me to connect my trailer and use the electric brakes. I purchased a Curt 56110 connector so I can just plug and play. Actually the Curt 56110 is for the lights only so I bought two Curt 56110 units and used the wiring & pins from one to modify the other to include the brake wiring. The truck has all the wiring, just not the final connector for the brakes. With this set-up I unplug the factory (lights only) connector at the rear of the truck (on chassis near spare tire) and plug in my modified connector and I do not have to splice any wires to use my trailer lights and electric brakes, and just unplug it when Im done.

> 24 hourWorks just fine, installation was prety straight forward. A couple notes for those diy installers. The inputs to the 7 way are the old 4 way plug and then brake controller, power, ground, and reverse. If you already have a 4 way the power from that line is dead ended so instead of running a new power you can splice the 4 way. Also universal adapter - tow ready 118136 is highly recommended.

> 24 hourAfter searching for a 7 pin adapter for my 1999 Tahoe, I purchased this 4 pin flat connector wiring kit with Hopkins 41125 LiteMate Vehicle to Trailer Wiring Kit. It was straight plug and play for my truck. I will note that you need to buy self tapping screws, as they were not included in the hardware.

> 24 hourWell made product, comes with a mounting bracket, which is not noted in the description. Wiring is easy, follows the standard 7 pin wire colors. The material is a hard plastic, instead of a rubberized plastic, which may be more prone to breaking in colder temperatures. Convenient 4 pin connector and 7 pin connector in one is a bonus. I would recommend this product to a friend.
