> 3 dayReceived the Hopkins 47185 kit on time and in factory packaging. Nice that has both the 4 Pin and the 7 Pin Flat connectors. Just mounted the bracket and then place the connector unit into it with the supplied screws. The crimp connectors were already on each of the wires, so just matched the colors to the factory wires and crimped them on. Works great, put a little bit of grease on each pin and taped over each wire to seal moisture out.

Greater than one weekWorks just fine, installation was prety straight forward. A couple notes for those diy installers. The inputs to the 7 way are the old 4 way plug and then brake controller, power, ground, and reverse. If you already have a 4 way the power from that line is dead ended so instead of running a new power you can splice the 4 way. Also universal adapter - tow ready 118136 is highly recommended.

> 3 dayI replaced a broken 7-pin connector with this part. I didnt need the male 4-pin connector, just clipped it off and spliced all 7 wires to the truck harness. The 4-pin and 7-pin portions are connected inside the molded plastic housing. A great way to add a 4-pin hookup for a boat or light trailer if youre starting out with just the 7-pin (the 7 to 4 adapters cost more than this part does.)

Greater than one weekLoved this product. It helped me to add a seven pin trailer plug to my 4 pin plug on my Santa Fe 2021 without loosingmy 4 pin. You immediately get the brake light/tail light function for your 7 plug. For trailer electrical brake you will need to install a brake controller though Very! Very limited instruction was the the only downside. I used uhaul instalation videos on YouTube that were very helpful.

> 3 dayYep this is a good product. Go ahead and save yourself the headache and buy a brake controller right now. I should have purchased the 79.99 brake controller when I ordered this connector and in the pinch of the moment I then had to buy the exact same brake controller for 126.xx in a store to get the job done. Save yourself that 46 dollars and order a brake controller, in that regard, I would recommend a brake controller that has the custom pinch feature to truly control the trailer. The rig that I just set-up was a 2004 f250 v10 and the trailer Im preparing is a large 27 foot puma camper with bunks. This was a good 7 pin connector, plenty of wire and very easy to install in your factory spot. Sturdy aswell, NOT chinsy.

Greater than one weekWell made product, comes with a mounting bracket, which is not noted in the description. Wiring is easy, follows the standard 7 pin wire colors. The material is a hard plastic, instead of a rubberized plastic, which may be more prone to breaking in colder temperatures. Convenient 4 pin connector and 7 pin connector in one is a bonus. I would recommend this product to a friend.

> 3 dayThis adapter is mediocre quality at best. The mounting bracket is thin metal that will flex. You will need to hold the adapter when you plug in your trailer harness. The supplied screws were small (10-32 perhaps). Large enough to work, but nothing more. The rubber cover over the four flat wire connector is also thin, I dont expect it to last very long. The biggest problem was the part that was supposed to plug into my existing flat four wire connector, would not. My truck had a Ford connector already and I wanted this adapter so I would not have to do as much wiring. But I had to cut off the connectors and solder the wires together because the Hopkins plug was made in a way that didnt allow it to plug into the Ford plug. The contacts are bright stainless, brass/copper contacts would be more durable. The Hopkins adapter will get the job done, but it is a much lower quality product than the Ford factory connector on my other truck.
