> 3 dayThe Hopkins Multi-tow adapter was perfect for my inventory of trailers. The kit comes with a bracket, mounting screws and the adapter with instructions. Adapter is made in Mexico. The 4 wire plug-in is hooded to keep debris out when you plug into your vehicles existing OEM 4 wire trailer adapter. My purchase was to replace an existing Hopkins adapter on a used vehicle, so I got a good idea how durable it was after being hit, bent and hit again. I gave it 5 stars because it is that good and Amazons price cant be beat. My only wish would be they make a thicker bracket because the constant stress of plugging in and unplugging bends the bracket. I saw this weakness on the previous Hopkins adapter, so I made my own bracket out of 3/16ths steel for this installation.

> 3 dayMounting this to my 2016 Chevy Express van was a piece of cake. Didnt need instructions. Mounted to bottom of bumper left of the hitch. Looks and functions as factory installed. Nice and secure, clean, now maintenance free. Coupled with the Curt 55540 and the and Curt 14090, I have a total of 180 bucks and less than 45 minutes work into this with all 3 items. Was quoted $850-$1,000 from installers/dealers. Ridiculous. Did this myself for over 80% less!

Greater than one weekPretty easy setup and a quality product. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the cover for the 4-pin will work itself loose and hang open. Maybe its just the one I got but thats a bit aggravating.

> 3 dayThis 7-way/4-way trailer adapter is exactly what I needed for my DIY after-market hitch install. It easily mounted on the bracket on my hitch and the wires are plenty long enough to reach existing wires and easily hide around the frame. The 7-way connector firmly holds my wire in place and makes a great connection to the trailer. I have not had any problems with the connection to the trailer as I have with older 4-way wire connectors. I highly recommend this product to either add a 7-way plug or replace a 7-way plug that still allows a 4-flat connection for non-braked trailers.

Greater than one weekThis adapter is mediocre quality at best. The mounting bracket is thin metal that will flex. You will need to hold the adapter when you plug in your trailer harness. The supplied screws were small (10-32 perhaps). Large enough to work, but nothing more. The rubber cover over the four flat wire connector is also thin, I dont expect it to last very long. The biggest problem was the part that was supposed to plug into my existing flat four wire connector, would not. My truck had a Ford connector already and I wanted this adapter so I would not have to do as much wiring. But I had to cut off the connectors and solder the wires together because the Hopkins plug was made in a way that didnt allow it to plug into the Ford plug. The contacts are bright stainless, brass/copper contacts would be more durable. The Hopkins adapter will get the job done, but it is a much lower quality product than the Ford factory connector on my other truck.

> 3 dayI have purchased several of these little guys for the purpose of installing them on all of my tow-capable vehicles. They work great, and do include all of the necessary hardware and bracketry to mount onto a vehicle. I wish they came with heat shrink butt connectors, but my guess is that request would drive the price up. All of the contact surfaces were clean and corrosion free. The rear of the round connector appears to be water tight and durable. The copper wiring meets all of the AWG specs for the application it is designed for. I did use this in conjunction with a

> 3 dayWe planned to use this on our 2013 Ford Escape (Titanium) with factory towing, but ended up using it on a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT instead (not due to the item itself, but due to the towing capacity of the Escape). The wires are completely sealed with some sort of epoxy where they go into the adapter itself. My only issue here is that the bolts provided for mounting the bracket to the vehicle may not be long enough for several applications. In our case, they were barely long enough to go through the bumper we drilled through on the 97 Explorer. The adapter performed as expected however, and survived a 2500 mile trip without any issues, and we expect it to last a long time to come.
