I like it and ive used it in the past but i don’t know why i feel like i got a used one.. also theres like a matte plastic piece on the screen that bubbles in the corner but i dont think you’re supposed to take it off. Other than that its good for work use

The power cord on one of the two screens I ordered came in damaged. It still works but I rather get new stuff when I believe I am ordering new things.

Considering the price that I didnt have to pay, Id say that this monitor is about perfect for the needs of most people. Its a decent size display at almost 22 inches. Its nice and slim and fits well on a small table or desk (which is great for me). And the best part is that it looks almost perfect! This is the best monitor I have ever used personally, and I am glad that I found it at such a steal. My local Walmart doesnt even carry an HDMI monitor, let alone at such a low price point. My only really complaint is that I cant use the auto switching as it has created problems in which it would tell me to check the HDMI cable constantly. After turning this feature off in the settings, it hasnt given me this issue, which is fine since I only ever use it with my Mac mini. The stand is also a little flimsy, allowing this display to shake slightly when bumped. However, it is so minor that it really doesnt bother me. Overall, this machine is well worth it.

One of the best screens on the market, for a cheap price that it goes for. For a person who just has a laptop, and when ever i get back home i plug in my secondary monitor to do work on, or multitask, it is definitely bang for a buck. Why? For a person who does not edit photos, or look into image cleanliness or any other editing software too heavily, i believe this is a great choice. Would i recommend it? Absolutely! I might be a little bit different costumer for a product like this, because it is not a main screen, i tend to look at it 40% of the time im on my computer, but for a person who is using this as a main screen - go for it! And while youre at it, grab two! Why 4 stars then? No speakers. From an HDMI screen youd expect a speaker these days. No, i was not disappointed when i got it. I read the description and knew exactly what im getting, but its just that one small detail that lacks the perfect score. Mainly due to the fact, that my laptop comes equipped with weak and noisy speakers (in a bad way), thus making me resort to external audio sources.

I would give this a 5 for ease of use and clean appearance. I have a mac mini and already had the 15 pin VGA to mini display adapter to hook up the monitor, so remember to get this if you have any kind of current Apple computer. I am not fussy about too many things, so I would not say I am the most critical, maybe the teacher from whom you get an easy A or A-...but for the price, this is a great monitor. If you want something rock solid and good and friendly to your Mac, this little monitor will do the job. I purchased the black, not the silver/white (which matches the Mac, if thats important to you). The only reason I have the black one is that for some reason, it cost less than the white version of this monitor. If you are super fussy and need critical components for work (as a photographer, graphic designer, etc), I cannot say this HP model is for you - but maybe. If you want a nice sharp colorful picture, go ahead and buy! The price is right and you wont be disappointed, and you might even be extremely satisfied : )

Ive had this monitor for three years and it has worked great. A lot of people seem to point out that their monitor had died within a year, or there was something wrong with it after a short period of time. This did not happen with me, as mine is still working fine at the moment. The thing that I take issue with however, is the stand that the monitor comes with. This stand is really bad. Its not at all supportive of the monitor, so I instead have to hold the monitor up with books. This is unacceptable. The monitor does not even come with VESA support, so if I wish to buy a different (actually functioning) monitor stand in the future, I will have to buy some sort of HP to VESA adapter. This is really my one complaint that I have with this monitor, otherwise it works great. Pros: - Color is nice - Not Pricey - Relatively nice for basic functions (including non-high end gaming) Cons: - Monitor stand is not good - 60 Hz refresh rate

UPDATE: 7-17-2020 Its now been 24 months since I purchased this monitor. Still love it. Its worked flawlessly .. no burned pixels or other issues. An all-round solid monitor. Planning on getting another to replace my wifes 17-er. Just a super little monitor. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ UPDATE: 10-03-2019 Its now been 15 months since my purchase of this monitor. Simply put, its worked flawlessly and has me seriously considering getting one for my wife to replace her 17. For the money, purchasing this monitor is a no-brainer. Ive been very happy with it. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ As this unit has been installed for only a week, I cannot speak to long-term reliability. That said, there is a lot to like about this monitor. First .. it is important for anyone reading this evaluation to keep in mind this unit is a $90 monitor intended for basic viewing. I dont believe it was designed to be a gaming monitor even though several viewers mentioned satisfactory results when doing so. The monitor was fairly simple to assemble, however I needed to purchase a AmazonBasics DisplayPort to HDMI Cable - 3 Ft adapter for the HDMI cable as my laptops docking station only had a DisplayPort and not an HDMI port. Unit powered up without issue and has displayed a very nice, crisp picture when connected to NetFlix and streaming. There is a bit of a delay on the screen when resuming from Sleep Mode but not a big deal really. Overall Ive been pleased with the unit, particularly with the output. Im not impressed with the HP software that accompanied the monitor. The screen partitioning application (not needed at all) which emulates a very-dumbed-down version of Display Fusion doesnt behave well when resuming the monitor from Sleep. It was quickly uninstalled. Windows 10 did not immediately recognize the monitor in Device Manager so a quick trip to Windows Update provided the most current driver for the monitor. So -- at the end of the day you can keep it simple and not even use the supplied DVD unless reading Documentation is desired. Other purchasers werent happy with the external power supply wishing instead it was internal to the unit. Having been an IT tech for several years Ive seen a number of quality monitors discarded when the internal power supply failed yet the monitor panel itself having been perfectly functional. It would have been far more cost-effective to have been able to replace the power supply only. Several reviewers out there mentioned black-out or flashing on/off issues thereby denigrating the monitor itself without addressing the probability the external power supply was defective; no one appeared to address this issue as a troubleshooting possibility. The adapter is quite light and feels a tad cheap so users might consider trying to replace the adapter if performance issues (above) arise. Although an onboard USB port would have been nice, Im satisfied with what it is ... an inexpensive $90 monitor that makes working on my laptop more pleasurable for both my wife and myself. Assuming reliability extends its use beyond three years, it will have been a very nice purchase indeed.

I didnt rate any features high, but its < $100. This is a good business use monitor. I wish it had more input options than 1 HDMI input and 1 VGA. Like a usb and another HDMI. Another way to power it than the large brick.. it cant use much power. Id pay more for it with features, but either way, happy with it. This is effectively my auxiliary monitor in my setup, works great for my needs.

Im a designer and frantically needed a bigger monitor to connect my MacBook to. I wanted to get a decently sized and affordable monitor that wouldnt cost me an arm and a leg like a Thunderbolt would. Right around $100, this monitor had great reviews (even had a review from a fellow designer) and had same day shipping. I bit the bullet not expecting much. When it arrived, I was really impressed by how easy it was to set up - look me about 10 minutes total from opening the boxes to taking off all the plastic to get this baby up and running. Remember to purchase an HDMI to HDMI cord if youre a fellow Mac user so that you can actually use this guy. Or get a VGA to thunderbolt adapter and youll be golden. This monitor comes with a VGA to VGA cord (youve been warned). This is a fantastic product for a designer or anyone who just needs a bigger monitor. Normally Im very wary of HP products (like laptops because they all are miserable machines) but this doesnt fall into the group of things you must steer clear of.

The brightness, colors, and quality are fantastic. I love the minimalist shape and form of it. I also love the Amazon price as this monitor appears to go for way more on other websites or places like eBay. I even ordered one for my mother who runs a home business and does a lot of work on her computer. Im not a monitor expert however there was one reason I chose this monitor. Most other monitors I was looking at on Amazon have existed for a couple of years already and this one was one of the freshest models. Since usually things get better with time due to innovation I figured this would be my best choice. Im not a fan of lots of extremely dumb design decisions by HP in the past since I repair their computers on and off for a living. But Im very pleased with this monitor. I use it with my Lenovo X230 thinkpad as an extention to my laptop. Also Im not a color or photography expert or anything but I do like the fact that the black is consistent on it. I dont see any weird fades or things that Ive seen customers point out in reviews of other similarly priced/specked models.
