> 3 dayIts an inexpensive monitor and it works like I expected. I bought this for a mini-computer in a spare office. Pros: 1) Assembly could not be easier. Just 3 parts that firmly snap together. 2) All ports work 3) The stand for the monitor is designed perfectly to place a mini computer on top of it. This saves space. Cons: None that i can think of for the price. Neutral: 1) The monitor i got was obviously a return that was sold as new. The cardboard tabs on the box were creased and the cables were obviously used. The monitor itself look pristine so I kept it. This is an ongoing problem with Amazon returns that is usually outside of the control of the seller. This is why i usually buy more expensive electronics straight from the manufacturer nowadays. Overall I give this monitor a value-based 5/5 stars. I bought this believing that it provided good value to the dollar and it lived up to its expectations.

> 3 dayThis my 2nd purchase of this make and model, the 1st was 2 years ago and still running like a champ. My recent purchase came with no surprises, it works, looks good, has what I need for specs and as before arrived w/o any dead pixels or any other defect. I needed more display space (now a remote employee!) and thought about going to a 27 or 32 inch. My inner boy scout took over and I decided to go with duals (what are the odds of both failing at the same time?) for redundancy. Very pleased with my choice. Just a heads up.. the unit arrived with a VGA cable, rather than HDMI as some listing show. Also, though the monitor can be VESA mounted, its up to you to get the adapter. I didnt need one, the supplied base is fine for my installation. Finally.. for the second time mine arrived in a HP box, clearly identifying the contents, glad I was home.

> 3 dayIve had no trouble from this monitor for the last 5.5 years. I initially wanted one with a speaker, but found a tiny bluetooth substitute to quell that need going forward. Its been good for surfing and media watching. I have one small complaint. Now that Im looking for a second one to complete a dual monitor setup, I realize just how huge the border on this thing is. It will be distracting. I can overcome my annoyance, its just that. But why even bother putting a thin bezel if they were going to put a thick border? Im sure the technology was there to make it bezeless. I think they just wanted to make the monitor seem bigger than it actually was and save a few bucks on plastic. Ill deal with it to have a matching set. But yeah, a half inch border on a multi monitor setup is not particularly cool look when they are turned on and being used.

> 3 dayLove this monitor. I purchased it for working from home, Ive found that the resolution, brightness, and picture quality are phenomenal. The HDMI connection is virtually instantaneous when I turn on my laptop. My only gripe is that it doesnt always shut off when I put my laptop to sleep, but the power button is super convenient and reliable so its not really an issue. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

> 3 dayDid not come with a HDMI chord even though they advertised it as such. I didn’t appreciate the false advertisement. Anyway I called Amazon and they shipped an HDMI cord from another seller at no extra cost to me. The cord for the monitor only works when pulled into the wall. Product works well.

> 3 dayI was a little disappointed in the monitors, although I guess for the price it was a decent bargain. The reason I wasnt so happy with them is due to three factors. First off, the AC/DC power supply for these monitors is not built into the monitor itself; its a fairly large external box. The DC section of the cord coming out of the box isnt long enough to reach from the floor to my desk, so they have to sit on my desk. I bought two of these monitors, so I have two roughly 2 x 4 boxes sitting side-by-side so about 4 x 4 of my desk is taken up by power supplies. Second, the stand for these monitors looks nice enough, but theyre very wobbly. When I type or bump the desk I can see them wobbling which is a little distracting. I have owned a lot of Dell monitors, and generally they have a very sturdy stand. Also I purchased them for dual monitor use, but the stand has the screen cocked at a slight angle, so when sitting next to each the edge of one screen was about 1/4 to 1/2 higher than the other. I stuffed a couple black plastic zip ties underneath the edge of each monitor to fix that. Annoying... And third, one of the two initial monitors I bought had a clearly visible area of the screen that was discolored. A plain white window would turn a very noticeable green hue toward the edge of the screen. Poor quality control. So these monitors are still a decent purchase, but if youre looking for high quality youre probably better off spending a little more money.

> 3 dayI have had this monitor for over 5 years, still works perfectly so I’m just assuming those 1 star reviews are just from poor transport by the seller/self-care. I recommend using this for office work. Do NOT use this for video games. It is a subpar gaming monitor and can’t keep up with most games right now. It can’t run half of the games that I play well at all. A decent gaming monitor will cost you around $260-$350 at bare minimum, that is the route I took and I just use this as an additional for monitor for web-browsing.

> 3 dayI am not one to write reviews but bought this monitor afraid that it would not work with my MacBook due to many of the comments but being a cheaper and nicer looking monitor I decided to risk it. I hooked it up with a HDMI and the lightening 3 adaptor, turned on the power and immediately it was showing my macs screen - I am not sure where people are having issues with connecting these to MacBooks given that I did nothing but plug it in (didnt even have to use the software disc that came with it)

> 3 dayI would give this a 5 for ease of use and clean appearance. I have a mac mini and already had the 15 pin VGA to mini display adapter to hook up the monitor, so remember to get this if you have any kind of current Apple computer. I am not fussy about too many things, so I would not say I am the most critical, maybe the teacher from whom you get an easy A or A-...but for the price, this is a great monitor. If you want something rock solid and good and friendly to your Mac, this little monitor will do the job. I purchased the black, not the silver/white (which matches the Mac, if thats important to you). The only reason I have the black one is that for some reason, it cost less than the white version of this monitor. If you are super fussy and need critical components for work (as a photographer, graphic designer, etc), I cannot say this HP model is for you - but maybe. If you want a nice sharp colorful picture, go ahead and buy! The price is right and you wont be disappointed, and you might even be extremely satisfied : )
