> 3 dayConsidering the price that I didnt have to pay, Id say that this monitor is about perfect for the needs of most people. Its a decent size display at almost 22 inches. Its nice and slim and fits well on a small table or desk (which is great for me). And the best part is that it looks almost perfect! This is the best monitor I have ever used personally, and I am glad that I found it at such a steal. My local Walmart doesnt even carry an HDMI monitor, let alone at such a low price point. My only really complaint is that I cant use the auto switching as it has created problems in which it would tell me to check the HDMI cable constantly. After turning this feature off in the settings, it hasnt given me this issue, which is fine since I only ever use it with my Mac mini. The stand is also a little flimsy, allowing this display to shake slightly when bumped. However, it is so minor that it really doesnt bother me. Overall, this machine is well worth it.

Greater than one weekIll get the easy stuff out of the way first: the monitor itself is pretty good. Colors are relatively accurate, screen quality is solid and its specifications are reasonable. At this price point, you cant do much better. Where the monitor suffers is in its construction. I have purchased two of these monitors in the past and both came with construction issues. In the first case, the monitor would not lock into its base due to a misalignment. Even with minimal movement of the table it was on---due to shaking, slight bumps, etc---the monitor would slowly dislodge itself. Recently, I bumped into the table a bit harder than normal; you can probably guess what happened next. Bye-bye monitor. The other monitor I also had on the table? Unaffected. It was a direct result of its inability to properly lodge into its base. In the second case, the monitors base was uneven, so it created a similar problem. Thankfully, despite a few shakes and slight bumps, this monitor has held its ground. Still, I feel like its only a matter of time before it too falls to its death with relatively little force. Without these construction issues, I would buy another one of these monitors in a heartbeat. But as it currently stands, Im hesitant to buy a third due to what Ive experienced thus far. Ultimately, however, I have to acknowledge that it was my fault for not having returned these poorly-constructed monitors when I first received them and recognized their issues. Had they not been monitors (ie, rather large and fragile objects), I would have most certainly returned them as I have done with other Amazon purchases in the past. If the manufacturer of these monitors happens to come across this review, please take better care during the construction process. I understand that no item will be routinely perfect in its construction, but it is the one thing holding this product back in my eyes.

Greater than one weeki read the reviews, some good some bad. for 99 dollars, i decided id try it out for myself. this is my 7th monitor and boy oh boy is that a clear crisp picture, it needs a bracket to be used on a multi monitor stand, i got one and its easy to use. if it lasts longer than a year, ill probably replace all my other monitors with this same model. well see. had it a few weeks now, and its been working perfectly. *Updated: 2-12-23 So, Ive had this monitor since 12-11-20 and its still working just as it did the first day I set it up. Have never had any issues with it. Its still a really nice monitor. The One thing I can say I dont like... is that I waited too long to get more at the same price. Was $99, but still worth it. Ya snooze, Ya lose

> 3 dayI bought this monitor in 2018. I mainly use it for content viewing and a second monitor for streaming. No dead pixels till this day of the review and arrived by amazon in great condition. The only problem is the lack of vesa mounting. You have to go somewhere else to find a vesa mount that fits the stock stand mount or make your own which I plan to do. Its wonderful for color accurate work with the IPS screen. My main monitor does not look as great as this one does color wise. The blacks are pretty dark for a non OLED screen. For those who read the previous reviews and know HP they are a terrible company. Some of the products from them are good. Majority can be found from a different brand like Asus or Acer which are made with higher quality.

> 3 daySo far this is a great monitor for the price. I like that there is no border around the screen so picture is as big as the monitor. The only thing I dont like is that I cant figure out how to adjust the brightness. No matter what I do it stays a little too bright. The font size is pretty small and I cant seem to get it to stay bigger when I enlarge it. Other than that Im really happy with it.

> 3 dayI would give this a 5 for ease of use and clean appearance. I have a mac mini and already had the 15 pin VGA to mini display adapter to hook up the monitor, so remember to get this if you have any kind of current Apple computer. I am not fussy about too many things, so I would not say I am the most critical, maybe the teacher from whom you get an easy A or A-...but for the price, this is a great monitor. If you want something rock solid and good and friendly to your Mac, this little monitor will do the job. I purchased the black, not the silver/white (which matches the Mac, if thats important to you). The only reason I have the black one is that for some reason, it cost less than the white version of this monitor. If you are super fussy and need critical components for work (as a photographer, graphic designer, etc), I cannot say this HP model is for you - but maybe. If you want a nice sharp colorful picture, go ahead and buy! The price is right and you wont be disappointed, and you might even be extremely satisfied : )

20-11-2024The power cord on one of the two screens I ordered came in damaged. It still works but I rather get new stuff when I believe I am ordering new things.

> 3 dayI didnt rate any features high, but its < $100. This is a good business use monitor. I wish it had more input options than 1 HDMI input and 1 VGA. Like a usb and another HDMI. Another way to power it than the large brick.. it cant use much power. Id pay more for it with features, but either way, happy with it. This is effectively my auxiliary monitor in my setup, works great for my needs.

> 3 dayAbsolute steal for the price **EDIT: 12/13/18** Wow its been a year since I bought it! Im keeping this review 5 stars. This monitor is still going strong, and makes my other monitor look like crap. Im really obsessive about them looking the same, and I had to turn the brightness and contrast on the HP down a lot to make it look even close (why would I do that though) I believe LTT did a video on this monitor... they found that the actual panel is similar if not the same as the one that was used previously on the 21.5 inch iMacs. If thats true... well you gotta know this panel is good if APPLE uses it. In terms of durability Im not concerned at all. The heavy power brick has tugged on the power port a bunch of times (I know, I let it fall, Im bad) and its still as strong as ever. The only real downside is the back acquires some dust, but thats super easy to clean so I wont fault it. Overall, awesome deal! Recommended to friends!
