> 3 dayI bought one in 2018 before college and used it as a duo monitor with my old Dell monitor. It is now 2022 and I am out of college and now its time to replace my old Dell monitor... surely buying the same model 4 years later is a good sign!

> 3 dayThe power cord on one of the two screens I ordered came in damaged. It still works but I rather get new stuff when I believe I am ordering new things.

> 3 dayThe monitor has excellent clarity, brightness, etc. The size is just right for my needs, big enough to read but not so big it takes up a lot of desk space. The resolution is what I need it to be. There are two things I dont like about it. Firstly, the monitor attaches to the base which then rests on the desk. There is something about this construction which causes the monitor to ever-so-slightly bounce when I type. It becomes more noticeable if I bump the desk. Im not saying it is loose and all over the place, but it does move, just a little, but enough to catch my attention from time to time. I wish it were a bit more sturdy in that respect. My other monitors do not do this. The second thing is not the monitors fault, its my own for not more carefully reading the specs, but I wish this monitor also had a DVI port. It has the vintage analog VGA port and an HDMI port. While HDMI is the darling of electronics and a good choice for a digital port due to its ubiquity for many computers, laptops, and consumer electronics, an optional DVI port would be a great addition. I have a device that is DVI-only, so Ive resorted to Plan B for that one. Oh well. Still, all in all Im very pleased with it.

19-11-2024I bought this monitor primarily for my Raspberry PI3, but also to use as a 3rd monitor at work and at home, as needed. My criteria were: must be 1920x1080, must have HDMI input, must be lightweight enough that I can move it to where I need it, and must be inexpensive. This was the least expensive monitor I could find to provide HDMI and 1920x1080. Surprisingly the image quality is pretty good too. I was also surprised to discover that one can obtain a bracket for this monitor that allows it to be used with a monitor stand or wall bracket. Its pretty simple -- One HDMI input, one VGA input, a few buttons for typical menu setup screens, and a sturdy stand that allows it to tilt forward or back a bit. The only con is that it doesnt have speakers. Thats not an issue for my needs. What it does provide is a pretty capable 1920x1080 monitor for a very inexpensive price. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another if I ever find myself in need of a cheap but full HD monitor with HDMI.

> 3 dayI was a little disappointed in the monitors, although I guess for the price it was a decent bargain. The reason I wasnt so happy with them is due to three factors. First off, the AC/DC power supply for these monitors is not built into the monitor itself; its a fairly large external box. The DC section of the cord coming out of the box isnt long enough to reach from the floor to my desk, so they have to sit on my desk. I bought two of these monitors, so I have two roughly 2 x 4 boxes sitting side-by-side so about 4 x 4 of my desk is taken up by power supplies. Second, the stand for these monitors looks nice enough, but theyre very wobbly. When I type or bump the desk I can see them wobbling which is a little distracting. I have owned a lot of Dell monitors, and generally they have a very sturdy stand. Also I purchased them for dual monitor use, but the stand has the screen cocked at a slight angle, so when sitting next to each the edge of one screen was about 1/4 to 1/2 higher than the other. I stuffed a couple black plastic zip ties underneath the edge of each monitor to fix that. Annoying... And third, one of the two initial monitors I bought had a clearly visible area of the screen that was discolored. A plain white window would turn a very noticeable green hue toward the edge of the screen. Poor quality control. So these monitors are still a decent purchase, but if youre looking for high quality youre probably better off spending a little more money.

> 3 dayI would give this a 5 for ease of use and clean appearance. I have a mac mini and already had the 15 pin VGA to mini display adapter to hook up the monitor, so remember to get this if you have any kind of current Apple computer. I am not fussy about too many things, so I would not say I am the most critical, maybe the teacher from whom you get an easy A or A-...but for the price, this is a great monitor. If you want something rock solid and good and friendly to your Mac, this little monitor will do the job. I purchased the black, not the silver/white (which matches the Mac, if thats important to you). The only reason I have the black one is that for some reason, it cost less than the white version of this monitor. If you are super fussy and need critical components for work (as a photographer, graphic designer, etc), I cannot say this HP model is for you - but maybe. If you want a nice sharp colorful picture, go ahead and buy! The price is right and you wont be disappointed, and you might even be extremely satisfied : )

> 3 daySo far this is a great monitor for the price. I like that there is no border around the screen so picture is as big as the monitor. The only thing I dont like is that I cant figure out how to adjust the brightness. No matter what I do it stays a little too bright. The font size is pretty small and I cant seem to get it to stay bigger when I enlarge it. Other than that Im really happy with it.

Greater than one weekFor the price, I believe these have been the best monitors weve ever owned. Usually. 2 of the newer monitors now have begun to have these glitches. Like youll be working and theyll start producing glitchy lines across the screen. It doesnt affect what youre doing, but its annoying, especially if youre gaming or trying to focus on something, like watching a video. Outside of that, the picture quality is great in the other monitors all the time, and the glitchy ones most of the time. Ive owned 2 of them for several years now and they still work/display like new. The most recent one we purchased had an issue with the AC Adapter. It was dead. Unfortunately, Amazon did not have any more of the monitors available so we had to use an adapter from another PC and not return this one. But the monitor itself works perfectly. I dont know, sometimes electronics have glitchy things, but overall weve been very happy with these monitors and their long term performance.

Greater than one weekCrisp and vibrant display! Really fits the budget and delivers better than expected quality. Colors are clear and precise; watching videos is a lot more enjoyable with this monitor (especially videos of the 60fps type). I bought one of these monitors for my main computer and it was so good, I bought a second one for a computer in my shop. I plan to buy a third one here soon for a dual display on my shop computer. HP did a good job with this monitor. Installation of the stand is a breeze and you cant mess it up as the mounting spokes are made to fit only one size of the monitor so there is no guessing, just plug and play. Ports on the back are 1 power supply (included) 1 VGA cable connection and 1 HDMI. *NOTE: ONLY a VGA cable comes with the package, HDMI will have to be purchased separately. Other than that, great purchase, will definitely buy more of these bad boys. *UPDATE 23SEP2018: Monitors are functioning 100% as day 1. Other users are reporting problems or defects, I still have not had anything happen to me like they said happened to them. I am about to buy another one. The day these problems arise, I will update my review but as of now, everything is great! *UPDATE 12/12/2018 Monitors are fully operational and function as they did one day 1. Still impressed and satisfied with the quality of these monitors. I have a total of 3 and I am about to buy a 4th one right now.
