> 3 dayUse IMUS SEAL before applying deck boards. Whether you’re using wood or composite (eg TREX) sealing the top of the supporting joists is a must. This product exceeded expectations. I applied a week before I could install my TREX boards. Despite several rain storms it remained in place to complete the project. I used TREX screw connectors and they were compatible and made the job easy. I’m confident that this project will add years to the life of the support structure.

> 3 dayUsed on my deck joists. Easy to layout and adhered well. Wish they had this 26 years ago when deck was new but think product will stop damage

> 3 dayI’m no deck building master. I can only compare this to the Tr*x tape I bought for the doubled beams. To me this tape was better than the Tre* tape. It adhered good and was easy to work with. Just like all the other tapes don’t lay it on anything dirty. The sides of the rolls are sticky and will pick up any dirt it touched.

> 3 dayKnowing there was the concept of there being joist tape most influences my rating. For the minimal cost, an almost guaranteed way to prevent the most common way your deck joists are going to rot seems like it should be a requirement of any deck build. The people that built my deck did not use it and that seems criminal unless this concept did not exist 10 years ago. As far as this particular product, it did exactly what I wanted, seemed to be good quality, adhered well. It is like slightly wider electrical tape with some roughness on the side where the deck boards would sit. I would use this product again next time I need it.

Greater than one weekThe idea is nice, however it is better and cheaper actually to go with silicone or rubber paint, you can paint all the joints including the top (for example this https://www.amazon.com/Liquid-Rubber-Roof-Coating-Sealant/dp/B01EM9GAA8/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=silicone%2Broof%2Bpaint&qid=1634698430&sr=8-5&th=1) for this price. I used them so cannot return

> 3 dayThis is a good tape with excellent adhesion. Its been raining here and the Home Depot would not adhere, this brand adhered easily. The rubber is thicker as well and doesnt wrinkle like the Home Depot brand. Plus, it repels water much better.

> 3 dayAdhesive is very good on dry wood. Don’t expect it to stick to pressure treated lumber that is still wet.

> 3 dayThe adhesive side of this acts more like caulk than duct tape. Very good adhesive after it sat in the sun for a few hours. My only problem was it would easily fall off the cardboard center tube if you werent careful.

> 3 dayWe put the tape down but didnt get it finished. The adhesive is great and fits snug on the boards. It was easy to do and I think it will be a great thing to keep the deck in good condition. I wanted to go ahead and review the tape because I dont see any problems in the future.
