Pro: The kids love it too. My 2 year old frequently comes in the room and turns it on because “it’s all done sleeping.” Con: It sucks up Legos so I have to check the bin every time I empty it. Pro: It sucks up Legos so the kids rush around to clean the floor when they hear it coming Pro: I just turn it on and it vacuums the floor without any interaction whatsoever. Con: I can’t figure out how to get it to interact with the app. I think it’s probably due to the poor WiFi quality in our home. Pro: It cleans under the beds and chairs without lifting or moving furniture! Con: It gets tangled up in strings or cloths (i.e. dirty clothes or the tree skirt) if they are on the floor Pro: It alerts you if there’s a problem and it’s easy to untangle stuff Pro: It cleans my carpet very well and transitions between the ceramic tile, carpet and rugs without a problem Pro: It stops itself from falling off the step between the dining room and living room Con: It doesn’t do the greatest job cleaning the hard wood floor because its brushes tend to fling the crumbs but it does a good enough job that it could limit the amount of sweeping we have to do. Con: It doesn’t have enough battery power to clean the whole house Pro: When the battery gets low it sends itself back home to recharge. Note: It determines which way to go by gently bumping into things. It has been plenty gentle and hasn’t left any marks. Note: It pushes my long curtains just enough that it doesn’t suck them up but enough that I am going to keep watching it just to make sure it doesn’t suck it up!

I had been hesitant about buying a Roomba, but at the same time knew a robot vacuum was going to be the best thing for me. I have two dogs and they both shed. In order for me to stay in front of the fur, I needed to be vacuuming every single day, and although I live in a small apartment that just isnt always feasible. I have been using the Roomba for two weeks now, and I am honestly surprised by just how much I love it. I run it every single day, which does mean I have to keep my apartment ready for its running. PROS: 1. The brush that is on this does a great job at picking up dog fur. I know a lot of vacuums and previous models havent had an actual brush. I find that method leads to a lot of knotted up fur making it hard to clean. Thr brush is very easy to clean. 2. The Roomba is able to go under furniture couch, bed, etc), places where I previously was unable to reach with my vacuum. This has been a great help in preventing the tumble weeds that can happen when you have dogs that shed. 3. Convenience - I dont have to think about vacuuming anymore, I have created a schedule and I just let the Roomba do its thing. CONS: 1. It isnt Quiet - I realize that vacuuming in general is not a quiet job, but when you arent the one doing it, and the job take an hour to an hour and a half to complete, the decibel at which it is completed can be annoying. 2. You do need to prep your house - make sure that things are picked up off the ground, such as dog toys, shoes, electric cords, etc. The Roomba can get caught on these things.

A bit of context. Ive owned 3 different Neato Robotics models for over 6 years and had a brief flirtation with Eufy RoboVac 11. I stopped buying from Neato because theyre incapable of building one that can take a 5 day per week schedule for more than 2 years before failure. The Eufy seemed like a cheap toy, lacking important features and destined to fail. I returned it after running it twice. The Roomba 692 is every bit as stupid as the Eufy. It uses the same random bounce method of navigation where it staggers about like a drunken sailor bouncing off obstacles and getting stuck in the same places over and over until you physically block access or move the bot. It has no barrier system to prevent it from getting into places it shouldnt. It does no mapping of the room and cant be told not to get lost under the bed indefinitely. It flatly refuses to vacuum our area rugs. The rugs are a light gray on a dark brown floor and they trigger the drop sensors causing the bot to avoid them. If you block off everything but the main living space it will do a halfway decent job. My wife hates the pieces of wood I use to prevent it from going to areas it cant navigate. If the bedroom doors are left open it will invariably run out of battery before it locates the base again. This leads to really annoying games of hide and seek with a dead bot that cant play the find me sound anymore. Where did it get lost this time? Under the sofa? Behind the curtains? Under a dresser? Did it lock itself in the closet again? Hey, Roomba! Its 2021, you dont have to stay in the closet anymore! Ive had it for about a week. Im having a tough time deciding if I should just return it and pay the premium for another bot that can navigate properly or just resign myself to the fact that there are no good vacuum bots to be had for $200 or less. Prime Day saving brought this down to that point. But I really dont want to spend a lot of my time babysitting a hopelessly brain-dead bot.

I got this on a Prime day deal a few days ago. Loving it so far! This is my first Roomba and I didnt have much expectation from something so small and compact. I was wrong! The setup was easy and it was packaged very well. Simply remove the yellow tab from the batter and place onto its charging dock to being charging. The app was easy to set up as well, and it was connected to my WiFi network in under 2 minutes. The first time you send it off to clean, I recommend following it around to see the types of things that it may get stuck on. Try to pick up all wires, pet toys and food/water bowls as best you can. Youll learn what needs to be prepped before Roomba cleans. Ive ran it for 3 days in a row now and each time it has brings back a bin full of hair from the cat and dirt. It gets places that Ive never been able to clean before, like under the couch and bed. It has been able to get home every time as well, even from under the couch. Also, many people complained of it being loud however I dont really think it is. For its size and how much suction it has, its actually relatively quiet. Ive been working from home and I let it clean in the morning and dont even notice it at times. Overall I wouldnt have expected the quality and durability of such a small, compact device. I have already cleaned the filter and brushes, which was a breeze. They really make it easy with identifiable tabs underneath it so its simple to pull apart and clean the brushes, which they recommend doing once a week or twice if you have a pet. My only regret is not getting a Roomba sooner in life!

I got this for a gift for a family member but once we waited 3 hours for it to fully charge, we were faced with an error message, we contacted the roomba IT support team and they couldn’t figure it out and i also contacted amazon IT support team and amazon ended up sending me a replacement. which works great! i just wished it worked well the first time

Bought this older model Roomba as a discount/used open box. Great deal. Box arrived and was packaged as new- but no documentation. Not a big deal, just googled it. Machine was clean. Not marks and not dirty. Took a charge and has been working well.

I was replacing a much older one with a battery that finally gave out. I’m very excited about this new Roomba, I love it being connected to Wi-Fi. You just start it from the app wherever you might be instead of having to remember to reach down and hit the button to physically turn it on before you leave the house. This one has a lower profile, is much lighter and doesn’t slam into everything like my old one did. It did a great job cleaning my wood and tile floors as well as the low pile rugs. So far it hasn’t gotten caught on a few obstacles my old one would routinely get stuck on. Definitely an upgrade. I did have a bit of a headache getting it connected to the wifi using the app. After trying several attempts where it just kept searching for the Roomba but never found it I eventually did a factory reset holding the spot and home buttons which corrected the issue and then it connected without a problem. Be sure you are connecting to the 2.4 GHz band instead of the five with your phone doing the “easy” set up since you probably automatically connect to five on your phone. If you have a pet, a robot vacuum is a must, it makes it so easy to keep clean. The dustbin isn’t huge but that’s just the nature of the beast, be sure to dump it since you can’t do that remotely. Love my Roomba.

This thing is a game changer! I run it once every day. I don’t know if I’m ever going to use my vacuum again. The pictures I included is the dirt and dust that it vacuumed from under my dresser and my bed after only 10 minutes. Please note that it’s been a while since it’s been cleaned under there so that is why there so much, but I was shocked at what it picked up! Also included a picture where it was able to get under my dry sink but not between the legs, you can see the spot that it got and the spot that I did not. So it works very well with suction! Two complaints. One is that it’s very loud. Annoying when you’re trying to watch tv or hear someone from another room. Also, when I tell it to go to it’s home, sometimes it takes 2 minutes, sometimes 25 minutes and other times I have to pick it up and charge it because the battery will die and it wont make it home in time. I don’t understand it. It will be circling right near the home and I think it’s going to go home and nope! It turns around and goes in another room. Very annoying!! But overall, I am pleased with its performance.

We talked about buying one of these for years. Finally decided to give it a try. Easily programmed. We restricted it to our hard wood floors in a bedroom. Excellent results for over a few months now. We occasionally forget to close the door to the room and Rumba ends up wandering around 5 rooms in our home until the battery goes dead. When we get home we play the game of Find Rumba. Amazingly it does a really good job vacuuming Persian Rugs, bathroom rugs and intermediate pile wall to wall carpeting. Easy to empty the lint container. We run the device 3 xs per week. Always returns to the docking station. Rumba will make their money in the long run from consumers purchasing new cleaning brushes. Our Rumba brushes havent warn out yet but the day is coming. Hopefully the company will find an intelligent price point. It has worked extremely well and is a fun appliance to have around.

So I have a yellow lab whose job it is to deposit many dogs worth of hair around the house. With hardwood floors, after a day it doesnt look like I ever vacuum. This is a nice sub $200 solution. For less than I pay my cleaning lady, my floors stay nice looking all week. The added benefit is that it helps force me to take the extra 2 minutes prior to leaving the house to get things off the floor. The one downside is having to empty the thing every time when I get home. The debris catcher is always full of dog hair.
