> 3 dayMy girlfriend has one of these from a different brand and I saw how good a job it does keeping her floors clean, so I decided to pick one up for myself. Roomba was really easy to set up and get cleaning—it paired with my phone without any trouble (unlike some smarthome devices Ive used) and connected to Alexa easily too. When I first ran it it had some trouble because it sucked up some Christmas ornament hangers, but it was very easy to remove the roller and clear the jam; since then its worked great. I think mine does a better job with obstacles than my girlfriends does, since it only seems to get stuck on the stands for my guitars and the heating vents in the floor. This one doesnt have any fancy floor-mapping, so I cant really complain about its routing, but it seems to cover the whole apartment without any trouble on one charge (about 90 minutes). At first it had difficulty getting back home but for whatever reason its gotten better at that lately—maybe there is some kind of mapping or homing function? In any case its doing a great job keeping my floors clear of dust and dirt, even in high-traffic areas like the kitchen. I bought mine at a substantial discount—these things go on sale all the time, I presume to clear out overstock since they release new ones at a good clip—and it was definitely worth the $180 I paid for it.

> 3 dayIts programmable so you can set and forget; however, it gets caught on any cable and loose rug. When it doesnt get stuck, it sweeps well and Im glad every time because I hate feeling things when I walk barefoot. We run it once daily in the morning as we wake up because its noisy and crashes on everything before turning, so better to run it when were already awake or out of the house. Its smart enough to avoid falling down the stairs. I bought it like-new on discount. I wouldnt pay full price tho.

> 3 dayBin is small, fills up quickly. I have to empty it 1-2 times when its running, so I dont have this on any schedule. We have dogs, dog hair, this thing has to be cleaned out at least monthly. I run it about 2X/week, so about every 8 runs it needs a good cleaning. Pull the wheels and rollers, get a pick, takes 10 min or so. More work than a big vac, but its still a great light-duty vac that runs around by itself which is super handy.

> 3 dayIve had my iRobot for two weeks. I have a wood floor in my kitchen and carpet in my family room in an open concept. The iRobot does a fair good in picking up. After about the third time running it, I can see a pattern forming in the path it takes for each room. Dont move the furniture. It maneuvers around it. I havent read the manual or setup the controls through the app on my phone yet, but I like the fact that I can do other things while the Robot is cleaning the floors. It has a long run time too.

Greater than one weekOverall I like it. I’m a first time robot vacuum user. I bought one to daily vacuum my down stairs (which is a mix of tile and carpet) now that we have a dog. Does it do what I need? Yes and I’m satisfied with my purchase. However, the next time I buy one I’ll definitely buy one with more features. It runs out of battery before it makes it home sometimes. When low on battery, it seems to roam around trying to catch the signal for the charger. Sometimes it goes right by it. So I’m not sure what it’s process is on how it goes home. When it does get stuck or run out of battery, it sends you a notification, which is helpful. Also I have the charger on tile and it often moves it around so I need to somehow fasten it to the ground. (Probably with some command strips). Once or twice it’s made it home but isn’t on the charger properly so it won’t have battery to run the next day. I also wish it room mapped so I could have it just do the kitchen area. In the end, these things are not that big of a deal to me because I’m happy to wake up to a vacuumed floor I didn’t have to do myself.

> 3 dayI picked up the 692 because it was suppose to be great with dog hair. I didnt even have a huge job for it: one 400sf room with medium pile carpet where our two Anatolian Shepherds hang out during the day. Right out of the gate, it became clear that this vacuum simply cant handle pet hair on carpet. It didnt pick up all of it, and part of what it did pick up was left in two neat parallel rows behind it. (And as anyone whos had a Roomba problem will tell you, Roombas support is the absolute worst.) Theres just no point in using it for pet hair on carpet, because youll end up vacuuming the next morning anyway. Unable to return it without paying a ridiculous restocking fee (my fault for buying something that wasnt Prime-eligible), I moved it to the hardwood floors in our dining room. It does a decent job there, although I still have to regularly untangle pet hair from the undercarriage. Oh, and about once every four days, its high-tech cliff sensor fails and it gets stuck on the edge of the step down from our dining room. Pros: - Reasonably quiet - Bump-and-go seems to work fairly well (although has become stuck under a chair a couple of times) - Useful app - Decent cleaning on hardwood - Edge brush works well for floor edges on hardwood Cons: - Useless for pet hair on carpet - Cliff sensor doesnt always work - Requires regular manual cleaning of pet hair from undercarriage - Having to manually take the filter out and knock dirt off it when emptying is annoying

> 3 dayWe vacuum(Ed) every single day because of dog and cat fur but thanks to Sam (what we named it) we no longer have to! Sam is crest for getting clumps of hair and small crumbs. It lets us have a day off of vacuuming but with that being said it is not a deep clean and does not eliminate the need to use a normal vacuum still. Pros: runs while no one is home, there is an app, charge is enough to get the main parts of the house (1.75-2 hour charge). Cons: no rhyme or reason to the path it takes so some gets missed, no mapping, the app can only start and stop or tell you it’s stuck.

> 3 dayThe 692 is a great robot vacuum that is easy to get setup and works well. Its a great starter vacuum that has good suction and will run for 90 minutes before needing to recharge. Our main floor is 1700 square feet and it really struggled to clean it all. We block it into half the house and run it, then recharge it and let it run in the other half. The only real disappointment is charging. Many times it wont find its way back to the station to charge and will stop somewhere in the house, out of battery. And when it does find its way back, it will rarely charge. The contacts for charging are too sensitive and if I dont clean them after every cleaning, then it wont charge while docked. In effect, this eliminates the ability to rely on it to run on schedules, as it may not charge while docked and be out of battery when its scheduled to run. Otherwise, very pleased with this purchase, but will buy a more advanced version in the future.

> 3 dayThis is the lower end Roomba so it doesnt learn and have a pattern. I think it cleans very well. I have stopped watching it and rely on the app on my iphone. I still wouldnt leave it running when Im not home. I have had a small problem with the charging which I think the Roomba help line will solve if it continues.

> 3 dayThis is a great product, but definitely not as good as my vacuum. I do love the iRobot when I don’t have time to vacuum and I do schedule it for certain days which is very convenient. One thing you have to know is to clean it every time or every other time you use it or it won’t do a good job.
