> 24 hourI didn’t realize the device runs on 2.4G. I originally thought this would be an issue since I run my WiFi on 5G. Turns out my modem is dual band and so there is no issue at all. There was nothing in the description. I thought I would have to return it. It works great. My favorite features are the self emptying and the mapping. I can have it run in the main part of the house or the entire house. It’s a keeper.

> 24 hourI expected this to be at least as good as my other 5 year old robot vacuum, but this is much much worse. First of all it is super loud. I was trying to watch tv in my apartment, and even with the volume way up, couldnt hear anything over the vacuum. Second of all, when i finally decided to shut it off and put it back on charging station, it asked me if i wanted it to empty itself, and i said yes. I activated another super loud function: emptying, but after waking up all my neighbors for few minutes, it finally gave up and said its clogged. The last straw was when i wanted it to clean a specific area, but the app doesnt have that functionality. I physically have to pick it up and place it into the mess i want it to clean up. Might as well get a normal vacuum cleaner. Cant believe my 5 year old robot vacuum could do all that quietly and nicely, while this expensive pos is being sold today.

> 24 hourGenerally Im a fan of Roombas. This isnt our first one, but an upgrade to an older model which has been reassigned to a different space in the house. This one caused some real setup headaches, unlike my prior Roombas. If you search Roomba i4 problems with Eero wifi youll see multiple discussions (Reddit, etc.) where this model just DOES NOT WORK with Eero 6. Some people have figured out workarounds by manually changing network settings, but that didnt work for me. Ultimately, I set up a separate hotspot for this Roomba - otherwise it would not connect to my Eero and thus wouldnt complete setup in the iRobot app. Overall, the setup process was fiddly and full of trial and error. Reminded me a lot of what it was like to configure new PC hardware 30+ years ago. And thats not a compliment.

> 24 hourInitially, I really thought my Roomba i4 vacuum was working as it moved flawlessly around my house seemingly cleaning my hard tile and carpeted floors. After about 10 uses, I noticed an issue where it kept telling me to empty the bag, which I didnt understand since the bag hardly had any debris in it so I thought maybe dust, dirt, or dog hair was blocking a sensor so I used microcloth and my 20yr old upright Hoover to clean any unseen dust off my Roomba i4 but this didnt rectify the issue. I then just used my 20yr old upright Hoover vacuum to clean my two SMALL rooms that were carpeted and I then confirmed that the Roomba i4 was definitely not picking up any dirt from floors as I was able to fill an entire Type Y vacuum bag with dirt, dog hair, and dust from a 10x10 sized room. At this point I returned the Roomba and Amazon (who was wonderful) sent me a replacement. The replacement immediately had a problem attaching itself to the app despite all troubleshooting; however I was able to manually push clean on the unit and it zipped around seemingly cleaning the floors. After one entire run around my 2500sq ft home, I followed immediately up with my 20yr old upright Hoover and again was able to fill a bag half full of debris that the Roomba did not pick up due to very poor suction power. I really wanted the Roomba i4 to work due to having a bad back, which makes it difficult for me to vacuum but after trying two units, which had no suction to pick up anything, I found them both defective and an expensive worthless piece of machinery! Amazon was absolutely great in assisting with my return and subsequent refund of these defective Roomba i4 units. Thank you!!

> 24 hourI bought this vacuum at a Black Friday price. I was skeptical when I first put it into service. It got stuck in several places in my home, but after I blocked those places the vacuum has performed very well. My home is about 2,200 square feet with a mix of tile, vinyl plank, and carpet and the vacuum handles them all well. Im glad I bought the i4 with the larger battery as the vacuum has to stop to recharge about halfway through the job, which takes about 4-4.5 hours. The cell phone app makes it easy to setup and control the vacuum, plus you can see the cleaning history including maps of each job. The edges of rugs sometimes turn up and cause the vacuum to turn in another direction, but it gets covered in another pass of the vacuum. Cleaning power is good overall, hair and larger pieces dont seem to bother it much. Overall, very pleased with my purchase!

> 24 hourThere’s so much I love about this thing…my apartment has never been cleaner! But, it constantly is getting stuck on a rug, a cat toy, or under my couch. Also, if it decides it doesn’t want to communicate with your wifi is just doesn’t do anything and fails to start. I have to manually reboot it more than I care to, considering it’s supposed to be automated. It also often leaves debris behind if it’s not just right. Also, the battery drains quick, so it’s best to work in areas rather than the whole space, otherwise it has to return and charge for a couple hours before it continues. I recommend this one as the bare minimum Roomba, don’t get anything less than this unless you basically want to do as much work as you would manually vacuuming.

> 24 hourI can control it from the app which is perfect. I have it for a pet that is staying for a few days and its cleaning up after him each day. its been a pleasure to have in my home. Noise level could be a little more lower, however, it is a vacuum at the end of the day so you should expect to hear it. The dog is afraid of it. lol

> 24 hourThis series is the only few vacuum robots that are not made in China and doesn’t have a camera spying on you. It can also cross thresholds reliably.
