When it arrived the serrations were not sharp and rounded off. Thankfully Ka-bar was very helpful. If you have an issue go through them. I was able to switch mine out in the span of a week

Received it the day after I ordered it. Most beautiful thing Ive seen. Solid knife with a sturdy case. There is a reason the KA-BAR has been around for so long.

While it doesn’t have the full nostalgia of a leather stacked Marine fighting knife there is no doubt it’s a Ka-Bar. This knife won’t let you down in an practical function you use it for. Like anything of you abuse it like I’ve seen in multiple YouTube torture tests of course it will break. If you need to cut cement this probably isn’t the knife for you. If you need something that can handle most everything else this knife won’t let you down.

I bought one of these previously for myself. But about a week after I got it, my brother came down for a visit and I ended up giving it to him as a gift. So, I never got a chance to put it through its paces. However, I was so struck with the feel and balance of it, that I ordered another one for myself. I just got it yesterday, so again, have yet to take it through any kind of testing or endurance challenges, but the thing just feels like history in your hands. Its a solid feel which is backed up by the nifty soft-locking hard sheath which comes with it. My brother reports hes abused his pretty heavily and it is still his primary blade when hes out. So, knowing my brother, thats saying a lot. Seems like a solid investment to me.

This is the most fantastic knife ever, if you want a knife, this is the one.

The knife is very good but i would not buy it here. Amazon has no control over its wherhouse and its employes who steal customers knives and send them boxes filled with books comprable to the weight of the knives. now you have to waste your time on the phone with Amazon and make trips to post office to return the box and wait 2 weeks for your refund!!

Purchased this knife mainly for hunting and outdoor activities such as camping and hiking. I have used it to chop fairly big trunks of woods into fire wood, dug holes with it and put it through tasks that knives arent even designed for such as a stepping platform to step on while climbing a tree. This knife withstood all the abuse and rough use i put it through, never did it break on me and the blade stayed sharp and holds its edge pretty well. I have heard of people breaking their ka-bars from chopping wood, but just like a well built car if the driver is an idiot and does not know how to drive it the car will crash and break. same thing with knives and the way you use it, if you want your gear to perform well you must first learn how to use it. Overall this KA-BAR lives up to its name and it is popular and copied a lot for a reason.

I purchased this as a gift for my dad. Got it tonight and had to check it out first of course. Basic shipping stated 3 to 5 Days and it arrived in only 2 days to southern NH despite FedEx tracking estimations said 4 days. I am not sure who to thank for that. Anyways, knife and sheath where well packaged Double Boxed with bubble wrap and the unit itself came together in a slick black box. Besides a few fingerprints on the slick box that it comes is, Both items where absolutely immaculate condition and seem to be UN-handled. I knew from other reviews that the knife was of very high quality. Its seemed to be very obvious of that, as soon as you feel how solid it seems to be, but actually think that I was more pleasantly surprised of the quality of the sheath. It seems to match and compliment the knifes quality and rugged feel. I am vary glad that I spent the extra $10 or $12 to get the one that came with the sheath. I plan to buy this exact knife combo again for myself, and would recommend it to anyone.
