> 3 dayThese spikes have been a life saver. You gets lots of traction and have no worries for slipping (unless indoors). I highly recommend them. I have to blow snow and plow and have no problems wearing these doing both. Though probably should take them off when driving in case they stick to the pedals. This has not happened to me, but to be safe. Easy to put on and take off. Well worth the money.

Greater than one weekLarger than the wire traction that runners use and not as large as crampons. They provide excellent traction on packed snow and ice. I use them in SAR and they provide the stability needed for icy conditions.

> 3 dayMy best friend and I took a trip to the Grand Canyon in late March 2010. I had read on-line the trails below the rim can still have a lot of packed ice on them for the first couple of miles, so I went ahead and bought these to be able to hike with confidence. If I would not have had these, my fear of heights combined with slippery trail conditions would have kept me from hiking down the Bright Angel Trail and the South Kaibab Trail. Other people were hiking with regular tennis shoes or running shoes, and you could see how much they were slipping around--too dangerous for my tastes! With the Microspikes, I had sure footing and amazing traction. We were able to stride confidently on the trail instead of hesitantly taking every step. I would highly recommend these to anyone considering hiking those trails in early spring or late fall.

> 3 dayI love these crampons, they are easy to put on and take off, they grip the ice really well, but: after ONE use, they have about one dozen rust spots on them!!! I spent over $50 for this? I am very upset and I am contacting the seller and the manufacturer to see what they are going to do about this. UPDATE: after a few years, they are still good. It turns out it wasnt rust on them, maybe just some oxydation, but it came off and i havent seen it back. I now let them dry off after use. So I changed the review to 5 stars.

> 3 dayMy husband and I bought these very highly recommended microspikes and they did NOT disappoint. Went on a 4 mile hike to a frozen waterfall. We experienced snow, ice and mud. We tried the first part of the hike without our microspikes until it became to slippery to continue. We had never hiked with microspikes before so we were newbies. They were very easy to put on. They stretched over our boots and were snug against our boots. Took a few steps and WOW!!!! Life changing. They are light and I felt the difference immediately. The spikes grabbed the different terrain. We HIGHLY recommend these microspikes. And they come with well written directions, with pictures on how to apply them to your boots and a storage bag.
