> 3 dayREALLY grips on hard snow and ice. Our driveway freezes every winter like a skating rink. These are an absolute must for those situations.

> 3 dayI use these for hiking in Hawaii. That may sound strange but they come in handy a lot and pretty much any serious hiker you meet out here has a pair. They are great for going through mud, for crossing streams with algae-covered rocks, and for giving extra traction when going up/down very steep sections of trail. Ive used mine quite a bit and they have yet to break or show serious signs of wear. There are many trails here with sections so steep that a simple slip could send you tumbling hundreds of feet. I love the added security I feel when hiking with my microspikes and other hikers often stop me to admire them and ask where they can get a pair. For the price this is easily one of the best purchases Ive made in recent times.

> 3 dayAn easy solution for icy driveways, parking lots or hiking trails. My 2nd pair in 12 years. First pair are still usable but are not as snug as I would like them to fit so they are spares in the trunk.

> 3 dayI recently came back from hiking in Colorado and used these several times. My experience was mixed. On the plus side these are much lighter and easier to put on than traditional cramp-ons. On the negative side, they only work for certain conditions. I had success using these on an icy snow field that had frozen overnight and hadnt experienced any softening by the sun. But later in the trip I had problems with these spikes on a steeper snowfield that had received some sun bake. When the top layer of the ice/snow has softened, the spikes on these arent long enough to penetrate down to solid ice. Hence, I found myself in a precarious situation with these spikes on a steep snowfield while losing traction. Given the right conditions, I rate these 5 stars. But in the wrong conditions, they are nearly useless. Youve been warned.

Greater than one weekAfter trying another brand with plastic nubs twice because the fit wasnt right, I turned to this one. I hesitated because the price is $50 more than the other, but my safety on the ice is worth it. I tried them for the first time yesterday walking the dog, and theyre awesome! I immediately felt the difference, and I felt more confident walking. They stayed secured even after jogging a short distance, and I didnt slip or felt unsteady once. Worth every penny.
