> 3 dayI dont tend to write many reviews but this potty seat is amazing. Ive succesfully potty trained my 16month old!! Never even thought that was possible, I bought this when he was 12months old, using it maybe 1-2 times a week and then within a months time he was pooping in the toilet in 2 months time he wa telling me when he had to go, and we would rush to the potty and hed go both pee and poop. Its great because I can bring it with me when I go somewhere and I can slip it on and off our toilet. I was never a fan of the childrens pottys that you have to dump their pee and poop into the toilet. Gross. This is the best way to go. Its secure and has easy grips on the side which Ive taught him to hold onto. I havent tried the bags that go with it yet but Ill be buying those now since he is becoming more and more vocal before soiling his diaper. I highly recommend this. Although every baby is different, this has worked for us!

> 3 dayWe’re in the car and she’s used this thing 3 times today within maybe 2 hours. I was inspired to immediately write a review if I hadn’t already. That’s just today. My daughter is 3.5 and she’s used this sooooo many times since we bought it over a year ago. It’s a life saver. I recommend it to everyone. I’ve used it before!!! I’m pregnant and you never know when you might not be able to find a restroom! Lol. Truly one of the best Amazon purchases I’ve ever made. We use plastic grocery bags and cheap diapers as replacement liners and they hold quite a bit. Just buy it. We’ve never had an accident in the car. Amazing product.

> 3 dayThis has saved us on long car trips a few times now. Once I started potty training with my toddler, I knew this kind of thing would be necessary as we live in LA and being stuck in the car for long periods is normal. We also like to travel and do some local car trips. When you are coasting on the highway or stuck in traffic around town and your new-to-potty-training kid says I need to go! I need to go! you dont have much time to drive to pull off and find a gas station. I just climb into the back seat and assist her as she goes right in the Potette on the side of the road with no problems! Its also much nicer than most gas station bathrooms anyway. Also good for camping when you dont want to walk your kid to the restroom in the middle of the night. A great tip from other reviewers: buy a pack of cheap panty liners and place one inside the plastic bag. They absorb everything and are way cheaper than what Potette sells. The legs do click in place and are sturdy once you hear that click sound. I keep one in each car.

> 3 dayThis product was amazing on our last road trip! We didn’t have to take our kids into any nasty gas station bathrooms or “scary” rest area vault toilets. We set up the potty right outside one of their car doors on the Pavement of rest stops or on side roads in the rural areas, and we used a pop up windshield shade as a privacy screen. Boy age 6 and girl age 4. We now keep it in the car for when we go hiking or biking, all the park restrooms are closed due to Covid. I’ve even carried it in my hiking daypack! The bags are worth the price too

> 3 dayI purchased the Potette Plus before my son was actually potty trained to help in the training process and just to be ready. My son does prefer the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair at home as it is larger and more comfortable to sit on but the Potette Plus has worked out great for us when we are out and about because it is very compact and portable. We have only used it once on an actual toilet seat and that worked out okay (it was a little small for the size of the toilet seat making it a bit difficult) however we LOVE it when the legs are down and locked into place. My son has used it in the back of our car several times, on the floor of public restroom stalls, at relatives homes, etc. It has worked out great and helps my son feel secure in that he can touch the floor with his feet while using it. This is a great travel potty and highly recommend it for that use. Update on October 25, 2011 . . . Still LOVE this seat. In my first review I stated we only used it once on a toilet seat and thought it was a little small. Now that we have been using it for over 10 months we have used it many many times on public toilets and it works great. Anytime that my son uses a public toilet he uses this seat and it has been fabulous. We do still also use it with the legs in the down position as a stand alone seat for the times when he just has to go and we arent near a toilet and that still works great too. LOVE this seat. So affordable yet priceless for parents of toddlers.

> 3 dayI love this potty so much! I am extremely grossed out by public bathrooms, and we travel quite a bit. My 2.5 year old son currently hops on the big toilet and holds onto the seat with his hands. I cant bring myself to let him do that in public. After searching for portable options, I came across this one. Its perfect (and cheap!). My son is about 35 pounds and about 37 inches tall. He wears 3T in pants. When opening the box, I thought this would be way too small. It turns out that its perfect! He can sit on it comfortably, and poop or pee. I just have to remind/help him to point it down when hes peeing. Its obviously much smaller than a regular toilet, and if hes not pointed down, it would make a mess (but thats pretty much how it goes for boys!). We only use it as a stand-alone potty w/ the legs, and I use the liners that are made for it (which work so wonderfully - no leaks at all). I love that its so small; its definitely portable. I am able to easily put it in my carry-on for the airplane, bring it to museums/restaurants/etc, use it in a tent while camping, set it up in the backseat of the car... the list goes on. I cant recommend this enough!

> 3 dayThis is the BEST THING for potty training!! I wanted a little potty to keep my SUV since we were beginning potty training! This is the best thing ever wished I had something like this with my first two kids!! I bought a bumpkins wet bag and I keep the seat that folds up nicely and takes up little space. I also add the baggies. I also love that I am not having to take him into the public restrooms (with us being in a pandemic). It’s sturdy and I can fit it in my floorboard and add a bag. We have also used it flattened out on a big potty too!

> 3 dayThis is one of the best gifts I received for my 1 yr old while potty training. The bag liner system thats needed is a little awkward at first, but very simple. We take this everywhere now. It can be used in the car or on top of a full sized toilet while out and about and it fits easily into a baby bag or large purse.

> 3 dayMy daughter is 20 months old, and decided she wanted to use the big potty. Im not one of those weird moms who puts their kid on the toilet every 20 minutes so they can be potty trained at 9 months old (for a mention in their latest YouTube video about how to teach your child French while practicing Mommy and Me Yoga). On the flip side, many of my friends said it was a waste of time to potty train before her second birthday. I ignored them because she showed definite signs of being ready. First, my daughter was always an obvious pooper. Panicked looks, squatting down, grabbing the edges of furniture, and saying ooo-eee - what I say when I change her diaper - had been her poop trademarks since she was very small. But the doctor said that it would be easier to potty train her when she can control her bladder better, and that wet accidents happen more often than pooping their pants. Makes sense. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago; I thought she had taken a liking to saying baby one morning as I was making breakfast, before I realized too late that she was actually saying peepee, and had relieved herself of he pants, diaper, and urine, all over the carpet. I didnt want to deal with the headache of cleaning out a baby potty, and transitioning to the big toilet, because I dont really understand the point, so I began looking for a portable seat that goes on top of a regular toilet. The options were pretty limited. I wanted a seat to use at home, but that was small enough to take to public places so she could use the bathroom without falling in the gigantic oval abyss that most public toilets have become. I narrowed it down to this one, and the cheaper, more compact but more dubious looking seat that folds into quarters. After reading reviews that the smaller seat occasionally falls in, I bit the bullet and bought the Potette Plus. Its wide, sturdy, and was stable even when my kid wiggled around trying to dance when she was excited about the amazing poo-poo in the potty song I wrote, sang and produced for her pooping pleasure. I cant say anything about its use as a stand alone potty yet, but may use it for camping trips. Its been a few days, and my daughter has only had 2 accidents, one because I was cooking and couldnt run her to the bathroom. I still keep her in pull-ups at night, but she has been having a great time getting to sit up high on the big potty. If you have a boy, the splash guard is pretty small, and you might get peed on.
