> 24 hourIt’s a well made and functioning unit. Works great for controlling my non-essential aquarium equipment through Alexa. My only wish is that it could reliably keep time and maintain schedules through a power outage. In the event of an outage, it will return to schedule when power is restored but only if it can reconnect to the internet. And I personally have experienced outages where the internet would not come back on. On the bright side though, it can maintain schedules through internet loss provided the power stays on, but only schedules in the Kasa app, not Alexa routines sadly.

> 24 hourThis is a sturdy solid device and because you don’t have to plug in those large Wi-Fi plugs you can actually use all of the outlets! I have tried many different smart plugs but Kasa has been the easiest set up and become the most dependable brand of smart plug I’ve used over the years! This device also monitors the energy from each plug…awesome! I highly recommend this brand for any smart plug you need!

> 24 hourThis is the second smart power strip I ordered. I was so excited to get it and wanted to install it as soon as it came, I couldn’t get it to work after trying on and off at he rest of the day so I decided to return it. I was so frustrated from trying for hours I wasn’t aware I chose to get a replacement instead of a refund. When I replacement came I thought I’d just give it another try. It was still very very frustrating to set up but this time I finally got it to work after about 45 minutes (which was a huge improvement). I originally got this because I would sometimes forget to turn off my curling iron or my daughter would use my flat iron and forget to turn it off she’d also sometimes for get to turn off my vanity light after she was done. I hooked it up at my vanity to control everything at one place. It works well now. I have a routine on my Alexa that when I tell Alexa I’m leaving it turns off all my lights and my curling iron (or anything else I plugged into my power strip that I may have forgotten to turn off).

> 24 hourI am using three of these Kasa Smart Power Strips to control my hydroponic equipment (water pumps, lights, fans, etc). You can easily setup schedules to turn equipment on/off. With the WiFi, I can easily turn equipment on/off or modify schedules if needed. I am using these Kasa Smart Power Strips in conjunction with GROPLANNER WiFi Smart LED Grow Lights. With both being Smart WiFi, I can do everything that other more expensive systems do at half the cost. I will definitely be purchasing more Kasa Smart Products.

> 24 hourOverall this is an excellent product — six separately controlled outlets, with individual energy monitoring, for about $10 per outlet. One small downside is the wall-mounting process. The plastic back of the plug strip is moulded with keyhole cutouts for mounting screws, except that at the shoulder where the circular hole meets the straight slot of the keyhole, there is a small plastic post that prevents the screw head from sliding into the slot. You’ll have to use a Dremel tool or similar with a tiny circular blade to trim away the small plastic post. Another oddity is that the overload reset button is on the back. So if you have it wall-mounted and the overload does trip, you’ll have to remove it from the wall to reset it. Finally, my main use for these smart plug strips is for energy monitoring, not remote control. In the iPhone app, the screen showing power consumption for an outlet just shows a static instantaneous reading. It would be better if it updated live. It would be even better if the app let you view the live power consumption for all six outlets at the same time on a single screen. Fortunately for me I use these Kasa HS300 smart power strips in conjunction with a Sense whole-house energy monitor, and the Sense iPhone app does let you see the power consumption of all monitored outlets in a single view, with continuous live updating. Perhaps the TP-Link engineers thought that polling the smart power strip once per second to get live data might create too much Wi-Fi traffic, but if my Wi-Fi network can stream 4K HDR Netflix video without any problems, I think that it can probably handle one request/response per second to the smart power strip.

> 24 hourI love and own many tplink devices (cameras, door bells, lightbulbs, smart plugs and smart strip). Had only one issue that their self-help support couldn’t resolve. Turns out a factory reset fixed it. Can’t imagine i am the only one that would benefit from that simple suggestion. So, if anything isn’t working right, reset it. My issue was scheduled on or off never worked. Using the on off button on demand- no problem. Using the timer - no problem. Only schedules failed. All plugs all ports on any outlet. Weird huh? I even did the “have you turned it on and off again (unplugging from wall) no help. No clue why all features via the software/app worked except for schedules. You could set up a schedule, It would show it would be the next thing to run but would never actually control any outlet. Its great as a support for growing my tomatoes and other herbs and veg from seed, controlling the heat mats and lights independently.

> 24 hourI recently discovered Kasa (TP-Link) products and am a believer in smart home monitoring. I have plugs, outlets and now experienced this power strip. Everything was pretty straight-forward, easy to install and manage. I have yet to run into buggy installation for any of their products and the app (iOS) interface is an above average experience. Everything about this HS300 product is great except for one thing: the power cord is a good 12-18 inches shorter than it should be. My desk is positioned a reasonable amount of distance away from the wall where the power outlet is and the power strip just does not reach. See picture comparing my existing (and superb) Isotel Ultra and desk position. If Kasa were to simply add some more cord length, then they have a winner (for my use case, yours might be different). I dont think the cord length issue should drop this product rating to 3 stars even though I had to return the unit; everything else worked.
