> 3 dayI put this on my 78 F150 to reduce noise in the passenger compartment. I installed in the doors and on the floorboards. It is easy to install, high quality, and a fraction of the price compared to the big names in the industry. My doors now sound like a high end vehicle when they close and cabin noise has reduced significantly. Dont waste your money on the more expensive brands. This is just as good for a more reasonable price.

> 3 dayI prefer this to thicker offerings because it allows for flexibility. I can double up layers in more resonant spots and do single layers in spots that don’t need much help, or where I just want heat isolation. This product is not a noise isolation product, it is a damping material for panel resonance. It will do a little but if you are looking to substantially lower road noise level, this is not the product to use. With that said, it is the best damping material per sqft and price on the market.

18-04-2025Just started applying and had to review! I have used other brands that cost more and they kilmat is equal in quality for the thickness lvl. Easy to apply, and now no tinny sound from my 54 year old car. I just hope they don raise the price like the other companies!

> 3 dayI used this material to line the cab of my RV. Cab noise was so loud before installing this, that trying to listen to the radio was pointless. Pulled up my carpeting, and installed these sheets on floors, inside the doors and inside the dog-house, and what a difference. The RV cab stays comfortably cool, no more hot foot on the passenger side. The road noise is markedly improved, and we can carry on a conversation without having to shout over the motor. Would highly recommend this product. Very easy to use and definitely worth it if you want to improve a hot, noisy area in your vehicle.

> 3 dayWas super easy to install, once you get one done you get a rhythm going and you’re off to the races. Installed on my Jeep Wrangler to go under my Goose Gear platform so that it further insulated and allows for better noise quality

Greater than one weekI almost went the poor mans way and bought Frost King Foam Duct Insulation, but then I saw this Kilmat sound deadening was about the same price as the Duct Insulation. Using prime, I ordered and received the package the same day. I found it was easier to work with this material with my bare hands as using gloves the adhesive stuck to the gloves making it difficult to install - once I took the gloves off it was much easier to work with the material. I also found it to be easier to use a good pair of scissors instead of a straight edge razor - the material is thin enough to use scissors. It was a cold day outside and when the temp dropped below about 42 degrees the kilmat material became much harder, so recommend installing on a day between 50-70 degrees outside. Also, the foil liner wasnt too sharp, I didnt have to worry too much about cutting myself using my bare hands. As far as it doing its job as a sound deadening material? I installed these in a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I can definitely tell a difference on the road noise, especially on the highway. Its probably a good 25% quieter, if not more. My doors feel heaver, have a nice THUNK when I shut them, and sound solid when I tap the doors with my knuckles. I replaced my speakers in my doors at the same time and I am very happy with the results - no rattles and great sound. I did two layers - one on the outside panel and one on the inside panel - maybe overkill, but I received 50 square feet, which was enough to do all four of my doors doing double layers. This is A+ material.

> 3 dayThe stuff is a must if you have a van. My van is now a quiet as any car I have driven. I tried several brands and Kilmat was by far the easiest to install.

> 3 dayThis was used in a Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van. I have plans to convert my work van into a light use camper when traveling. Used it to reduce the noise from wheel wells and the bare roof. Eventually I will insulate also. Easy to cut and flexible. Use a good roller.

Greater than one weekThe product quantity was more that enough to cover 4 doors on a 2008 Tacoma and still had enough to cover probably another 4, had plenty left over. Did install on a 85° day and they adhere really well. Tried using gloves but its hard, easier if you dont use them. It did leave a light smell of tar for a day or two only. The doors do feel as if they close tighter but didt really notice a great difference in outside backgound noise. Speaker sound does sound better. Definetly not to be used as insulation, they feel hot to the touch as metal does but still do recommend.
