The road noise and overall tinny sound of closing the doors, trunk, etc. on a 2008 Accord Coupe got me to searching for a solution. Installed this stuff everywhere - on the floor, inside the doors, inside the trunk, on the ceiling, and on the rear-fenders (from inside; theres an opening under the trim). We also added Noico adhesive foam to further control road noise. It made a huge difference and the car is much more pleasant to drive on the highway now. Also, closing the doors now makes a reassuring, solid thump. Note: Handling the headliner to remove it killed the foam under the cloth. :-( 11 years of baking under a black roof, in the Texas sun, had weakened the foam. It crumbled from the handling and the liner started to sag in just a couple of days. Ugh! Pulled out the headliner and had it recovered at a local shop. Had I known this was a possibility, I might have left the ceiling alone! That ended up costing an extra $125 ($250 if the shop also did the remove and install of the headliner).

Ive used other products before - Dynamat, second skin, etc. They worked well, but were $$. This product is cheaper, perhaps just slightly less thick - though, not by much. It also sticks well and seems to quiet things down quiet a bit. Frankly, you can almost double it up and stay under the price of the other leading brands. I would suggest wearing gloves. The adhesive doesnt come off, but the material will slice your hands up - like paper cuts. Not a lot of fun. Aside from that minor gripe, the product really is a great value!

I installed this KilMat in my 2015 Dodge Challenger, with ease. The whole trunk, wheel wells and Drivers side door. The hardest part was taking everything apart. Didnt use the roller, that much, could easily press everything down with your hands. The 50 sqft was more than enough to complete this job. The noise cancellation level was very noticeable, took out the rattle in the drivers door, now have to put a few strips on the rear deck, to quiet that down. Would recommend this to everyone, nice weekend project.

I really like this product, it was super easy to lay out and trim to fit pieces where full sheets wouldnt fit. I could of taken more time and fit it a Bit better but in less than 30 minutes I did the entire floor of a 06 crew cab gmc 2500hd. I have not driven yet for noise test but just tapping on the floor you can instantly tell it will be helpful. My factory mass backing had water damage so I liked this for noise reduction and getting rid of the padding.

I completely covered the floor and cargo area of my c5 corvette. It cuts way down on road noise a fiberglass car will produce. Virtually eliminated rattles and vibration. Greatly reduced the amount of heat from the torque tube in drivers compartment. Definitely improved the sound of the Bose system especially the sub

The product quantity was more that enough to cover 4 doors on a 2008 Tacoma and still had enough to cover probably another 4, had plenty left over. Did install on a 85° day and they adhere really well. Tried using gloves but its hard, easier if you dont use them. It did leave a light smell of tar for a day or two only. The doors do feel as if they close tighter but didt really notice a great difference in outside backgound noise. Speaker sound does sound better. Definetly not to be used as insulation, they feel hot to the touch as metal does but still do recommend.

Adheres well if you actually do it correctly. I double layered every large hollow hole and it turned out nice and sound. The door no longer shakes at a idle.
