> 24 hourIt helps find circuits much faster. The odds are much greater. If i cant find THE circuit, Im usually able to guess within 2-3 tries. It is definitely a godsend when trying to say label a panel by myself or debergizing a circuit before electrical work. It also doubles as a GFCI tester and can also diagnose wire terminations at standard receptacles and GFCIs.

> 24 hourI bought Klein because I thought their products were made in the USA. Unfortunately, this is made in China.

> 24 hourMy house is small. Basement plus two floors. Sixteen feet wide by 70 feet long. The wiring runs for the most part less than a 100 feet. That said, this tool wasnt accurate at all. Worked twice out of about twelve circuits.

> 24 hourIt works as its supposed to, and the sensitivity narrows after initial scanning. On my Cutler Hammer CH panels it works better if the front cover is off the panel, but its apparently not so great across the breaker fronts themselves. I just bought it so there may be a learning curve for me, but other reviewers have noted the same thing with CH breakers. Also works for identifying wires on the same circuit in different boxes, not just the breakers themselves. With an old house and electrical many revisions over the years, conduit running everywhere, this is what I really needed. Surprise addition is that the transmitter that you plug in is also a receptacle polarity and ground tester and a GFI tester. I bought the model that came with the accessory pack that includes an adapter for Edison-base light bulb sockets, a 2-prong adapter for non-grounded receptacles (and needed with the light bulb adapter), and an adapter to connect the transmitter to wires, etc rather than plugging it into a receptacle. None of that is crucial, but it was a cheap add-on and wil be handy on occasion. Ive had a cheap circuit identifier for years, the blue one sold under many names, but its never worked well. The only thing that does reliably is turn on and beep whenever its touched or jostled (no positive off switch). Not sure how many times it actually identified anythiing, except identifying me as a fool for buying it. And it wasnt really that much cheaper than this quality Klein tool. Ive always been satisfied with every Klein tool Ive ever bought, this one included. No doubt there are more exotic circuit tracers for specialty applications, but this works as advertised for simple 120 VAC wiring.
