> 24 hourI think someone messed up when adding this to the store and put 84 $ as the price. I should have bought all 3 that were in stock at the time I purchased. This was really fun to build, and I have it displayed on a shelf above my monitors. It took me ~ 6 hours, but I didnt really have much room on my desk when I was building it, probably would take closer to 4 if i had the proper space to lay everything out on.

> 24 hourThis is hands down my favorite Lego set to date. The iconic Saturn V is very faithfully reproduced here, including a large number of fine details I did not expect to see. Very well designed; robust, despite the complexity; and surprisingly easy to build. Instructions were clear and I only had to backtrack once when I wasnt paying attention. The complete model is very large, so be sure you have space set aside for it. While it will stand vertically on the nozzles, it is not going to be very stable that way, so horizontal display is ideal. While the model can easily separate into individual stages, the three included stands only allow it to be displayed in one piece. That said, you can replicate additional stands if you have the right parts (not included with the set, but theyre common enough to be easily purchased on BrickLink or other sites) to allow it to be displayed with the stages separated. The LEM can be mounted inside the fairings or displayed separately. There is also a small replica of the Apollo capsule post-splashdown that is meant to be displayed alongside the model. Bottom line - the set is excellent and is well worth the $120 price.

> 24 hourI got this set and LOVED it! This set is very cheap for how many pieces it has and it is fun to build! It took me a couple hours a day for three days to build it. This will work well as a gift for ages 12+. I am twelve and I was able to construct it with no problems. The rocket separates into stages very well, but it takes some practice. The set stands one meter tall which is very impressive, and makes it my best lego set yet! This set comes with three micro figures plus one spare. The lunar lander goes in the top of the rocket, and you can easily pop off the cover and replace it with the capsule that splashes down onto Earth. Again, I would recommend this set for a excellent gift!

> 24 hourSome background: I loved LEGO as a kid, as much for tinkering and building new things as for building sets, but it has been nearly a decade since last I built a set. But this holiday, I found I had some time to spare for something like this and, as someone who enjoys following spaceflight news and history, this set caught my eye. And wow, did this deliver. This set is at once ingeniously designed (the innards and ways the cylindrical shape and step-downs are accomplished are amazing), pretty accurate to life (not only in looks, but also in the staging), and enormous (reading the note that it was one meter long on the box did not prepare me for the awesome reality of this thing). Its also, incidentally, beautiful. LEGO has always done Space themes well, and I am happy to have experienced that that tradition has been carried forward. This is a set with a great balance between special pieces (the printed, not stickered, tiles are sparingly used exactly where theyre needed) and creatively used normal pieces is excellent. In the best LEGO way, this set repurposes many pieces for use in ways which are often surprising in order to connect at angles or represent rocketry plumbing. Some areas are so complex that only after a few pages of directions is the purpose of some of the innards fully revealed; building this set is like a drama, where sometimes I worried that here or there was an unnecessary complexity which would ultimately lead to weakness. But every time, this was disproved once the whole point of a section of building was achieved. There are a few spots where I felt like one piece could have been used in place of two or four others, in a way which suggests to me that some decisions in the construction of this set were specifically for the purpose of reaching that 1969 number exactly. Cool move. Nevertheless, completed, this thing looks effortless. So, in conclusion: I applaud the faithfulness, creativity, and value of this set, especially for the experience of building it, and Im very happy to get back into LEGO after years!

> 24 hourI actually had owned this set and taken apart because of all the useful pieces a few years back, now Im much more of a collector so I needed this set, its a bit repetitive but is a fun build and has some really interesting techniques. Great value for the pieces too!

> 24 hourAt $0.06/part and no stickers this set is an amazing value to honor the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. I dont know if I wasnt paying attention to instructions, but I struggled putting the first stage together at times and had to look up speed builds on YouTube for guidance. At a meter tall it has a massive footprint, but if you have space for it, this is one of the best sets Lego has ever released.
