> 3 dayI bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it and it will look great on his bookshelf in his home office. Hes spent a bunch of time working on it with our 8 year old daughter. Definitely recommend if you need a gift for someone who loves the space program.

> 3 dayIts a really cool build. Got this for my 11 year old. He was working through a packet and informed me that he was missing a lego piece. We improvised to make it work

> 3 dayI have always loved the space program since growing up in Florida. While I wasnt alive during the Apollo Saturn V missions, it was great to own a piece of history to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo missions. It is something that I will keep for a long time. The accuracy of having different modules detach and be displayed separately is quite unique and very innovative. Im thoroughly impressed with this purchase. It took about four hours total across three days, I believe. It is a manageable project and wonderful collectible for all the space nerds in your life!

Greater than one weekI ordered this set to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. Took me 2 evenings to complete. I could have easily done it in one, but I took my time and enjoyed the process. Maybe five or six hours total? Just a guess. The building process was very rewarding! I havent put Legos together since I was a kid. The process was really fun. The internal build is really fascinating, so it is kind of sad that you cant see that on the finished product. All the pieces were present. Everything fit together pretty well. Of the 330+ steps, only 3 or 4 of them were kinda puzzling. Whats the fun in it being TOO easy, though!?!? Now I have to find a place to display this awesome Saturn V rocket where my cat cant knock it over.

> 3 dayId been waiting a long time to buy this kit. Two years, to be exact, ever since the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. I wanted it to be excellent. I wasnt prepared for it to be frustrating at times. The part that proved frustrating was the first stage of the booster. The second and third translunar stage, as well as the Apollo spacecraft itself, was fairly straightforward and fun to build. But the first stage, taking up the entire first half of the instructions, was a pain in the neck. What was frustrating was the instructions proved to be vague on an essential point. The hull panels have to be lined up exactly right or the rest of the stage wont go together correctly. I realized fairly late in the construction of the first stage that I had not, in fact, lined up the hull panels correctly, and had to take the whole thing apart and start all over again. I became so frustrated that I had to skip ahead and come back to the first stage later. But the first stage has other issues. It, unlike the other two stages, is unstable. Once you get the hull panels on, its good and solid, but until then, be damned careful with it or it will come apart. Once I got the whole thing put together, it is a joy to display, look at and marvel that people actually rode that monster into orbit, on the way to the moon. But if you buy this for a child, be prepared for them to need mom and dads help.

Greater than one weekAlways was hoping lego would bring back this set. As soon as I saw this set on Amazon, I knew I had to get it. Assembling this set was straight forward with the included build instructions (Which also doubles up as a collectible, since the beginning has a brief history of the Apollo program, the Saturn V and a typical Apollo mission profile). Some parts were challenging, but nothing a little help from my local lego store couldnt solve. Legos attention to detail on the Saturn V is absolutely superb. They managed to capture the lego version of the Saturn V just as the real Saturn V was. Everything down to the umbilical connections were captured with unwavering detail. The thing that really caught my eye is the sheer size of the lego Saturn V, which stands 39 inches (3.3ft, 1m) tall when displayed vertically, just as massive as its real life counterpart. According to unconfirmed sources, the lego model of the Saturn V is 1:110 scale. If you dont have the room to display it vertically, you can display it horizontally with the included horizontal stands. All in all I really enjoyed building the Saturn V and can now enjoy the model that sits in my room.

> 3 dayWOW! Where do I start. I love basically everything about this set. It looks spectacular on display in my room. It was a very satisfying and enjoyable build experience. Amazing use of some really unique building techniques, and a great value for the parts count. Definitely would recommend as a gift for any older child, teenager or adult. Lots of double builds in the instructions made it great to build together with a friend or a sibling.
