> 3 dayThis is a great LEGO set. Took me about 12 hours to build. Really fun to put together, and at nearly 40 tall, its an impressive model. It also comes with the Lunar Lander on a Moon display base, and the Command Module in post-splashdown configuration. The inclusion of 4 properly scaled Astronaut figures is a nice touch and gives you an idea of just how massive the real Saturn V was. As far as LEGO sets go this is one of the best values for the money, and the result is much more like a scale model, than a LEGO toy. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayI ordered this set to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. Took me 2 evenings to complete. I could have easily done it in one, but I took my time and enjoyed the process. Maybe five or six hours total? Just a guess. The building process was very rewarding! I havent put Legos together since I was a kid. The process was really fun. The internal build is really fascinating, so it is kind of sad that you cant see that on the finished product. All the pieces were present. Everything fit together pretty well. Of the 330+ steps, only 3 or 4 of them were kinda puzzling. Whats the fun in it being TOO easy, though!?!? Now I have to find a place to display this awesome Saturn V rocket where my cat cant knock it over.

> 3 dayI bought this as a little present for myself, as I havent put together a lego set in probably forty years now. When I received it, it was in twelve separate bags, and the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Some things that impressed me were the fact that it actually did the monster Rocketdyne F1 engines justice - it wasnt perfect because its Lego, but they had a block for the turbopumps, the gas generator outlet pipes, and even the kerosene and liquid oxygen hoses that connect to the turbopumps. They even included the fuel and oxidizer injection plate. The detail impressed me. It took me about six or seven hours to completely put together, and it now has a place of prominence in my office. Not everythings rosy, though: there was one piece missing that Lego, to their credit, are replacing, and it seems that the instructions could have been ordered differently to make it a little less painful. All in all, it was not too (or very, depending on your point of view) challenging, a good waste of time when I needed it, and a quality, somewhat durable finished product.

> 3 dayThis set is among my favorites that I’ve put together. I have to give it a lower rating for ease of assembly (but that’s a good thing!!!) this set isn’t for little kids as it’s easy to mess up the colors if you’re not paying attention and the overall structure is kind of weird when being put together but overall I absolutely love this set and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Lego as well as nasa.

> 3 dayLego retired this set years ago. I must have inspired good karma somewhere, because the Saturn V popped up in Deal of the Day last month for a ridiculously reasonable price. No idea how they got their hands on these, but after drooling over this set for over a decade, Im not asking questions. I dont buy expensive toys, but this is something else. If youre a fan of NASA or ever wanted to do a big Lego project, this is the one to do, hands down.
