Greater than one weekThis is my first Lego kit. I have built many scaled models over the years and have always wanted to try a Lego kit. I wanted something a bit more challenging than a typical kit. This kit is awesome. Almost 2000 pieces. I’m about halfway through and it has taken me about 4 hours. I just wish Lego made a launch pad to go with it.

> 3 dayI have to admit that I bought this set for my 5-year old boy who loves the Apollo story, knowing that this set is recommended for ages 14 and up. The set is amazing, beautiful and very accurate in terms of how the Saturn V worked (it has the three stages, the eagle lander, the capsule, the lunar orbiter, three tiny astronauts, etc.) and its amazing that you can separate the stages and replicate the entire Apollo journey to the moon with this lego set. My 5-year old boy, who has a lot of experience with many legos, was able to follow the instructions very well. However, the set is hard to build because some things dont fit very well or are really fragile and delicate. Sometimes your own finger or hand will destroy a section, and its really hard to rebuild (some times its easier to start all over again). Once the Saturn V is build, it doesnt stand very well, I think it is designed to rest horizontally (which is nice if you want it as a decoration, but not for play). This set will not work as a toy at all, as moving it will always result in destruction. My 5-year old son learned the hard way, after three days building it, it got destroyed in 5 minutes, and we had to rebuild it again, and he sort of learned how to rebuild it on his own. We now have in on display, horizontally, and it is gorgeous, however we rarely touch it or play with it, dreading destruction again :-)

> 3 dayIm an old space nut from way back. I am old enough to still vividly remember the Apollo moon missions and when I saw this, I knew I had to have it. Up to this time the only other real option for me was the Revel set that required gluing and painting. Didnt have the patience to do a project like that and when I saw this one, I went oh yeah, I can do this. Got this one and off I went. Took me quite a bit longer to build this than the youtubers did it but I got it done. A lot of satisfaction for me to both build it and have it displayed to enjoy looking at. The set is pretty detailed and stages come apart when wanting to simulate a mission with the exception of the service module/lunar lander/apollo command module. That could have been done a little better for people who want to simulate a mission in addition to just having it to display. All in all, a very nice good looking build with a good price.

> 3 dayI have given this rocket as a gift and receiver loved it. Now I am a 65 year old LEGO mania Grandmother that bought this one for myself! The packaging by Amazon was double boxed and not a mark on the actual Lego box. EXCELLENT JOB AMAZON.
