> 3 dayI had a blast (no pun intended) putting this together over the course of an afternoon. You assemble it one stage at a time (and yes, the stages do separate), and it was really cool to see everything come together as a I completed each one. Once its complete, it is extremely sturdy, whether the rocket is fully assembled or the stages are separated, as the solution to clip them together supports the weight very easily. If you want to play with it after youre done, you dont have to worry about it breaking apart easily. The only thing Id wish theyd done differently is include the pieces for a second Service Module, since it would have been really cool to have the option to display the entire Apollo spacecraft alongside the rocket - there are only separate display sets for the LEM on the moon, and for the CM after splashdown. As a bonus, I got mine through Amazon Warehouse Deals. The box had a giant gash in the side, but the contents inside were completely undamaged, and that saved me $35 off the retail price.

> 3 dayAbout a year ago, my brother bought me this for my birthday. It was my first LEGO set in decades. My brothers and I played with them a lot when we were kids, but then a didnt think much about them. This set was so fantastic that it got me back into them, and Ive purchased several sets since (mostly Star Wars UCS sets, but some other ones, too). It was such a great set that I decided to pay it forward and bought this for a buddy of mine who had been talking for months about wanting it. The set is huge. Yep, you can read the dimensions (a meter tall), but those dont do justice to the feeling of seeing it in person. Its a sight. Size aside, its just flat out a great set. There are details on the nozzles and inner pieces that youd never know where there unless you built it or took one apart. Some of the details are hidden away once the outer layers are built up. Other details you can see when you pull the stages apart (I love that it can be separated into the different stages). There are no mini figs, but there are super tiny little astronaut figures that help people understand the scale of this thing. The real Saturn V burned about 15 tons of fuel per second during boost. 15 tons. A SECOND. The real rockets were massive, and this gives you a tiny taste of that. Well, tiny compared to the real thing - huge compared to a lot of LEGO sets. Plus, using 1969 pieces? Brilliant. Oh, and...not one single sticker. Not one. Yay!!! All of the lettering is already on the pieces. If you like rockets or just well done LEGO sets, I highly recommend this set.

Greater than one weekDid this with my 3 year old daughter. We had a blast. (No pun intended) It took 5 hours or so over 2 days. I ended up building the last 2 bags of parts myself just because they were small. Wish they had more stuff like this. Even sci fi stuff. Like say the Star Trek Enterprise? NCC 1701 not 1701D. But both versions would be cool. Talking to you Lego.

15-04-2025I’m an adult LEGO and NASA fan. That said, the set was fun to put together but a bit repetitive compared to many other sets. Not a drawback and should be expected based on what you are building. The end result is worth it. Mine arrived in a mailer then inside is the LEGO brown box shipper then inside is the box that you would normally see on the shelf or in pictures. I don’t know why, but I loved getting that shipper box. Inside that, the instruction book is massive, it has a hard style magazine spine and quite a bit of information on the set and the rocket it is based on. There are several languages present in the book. The set is divided into 12 bags. Upon completing this set I stood the rocket on a desk and later it fell. Fortunately the tight construction made the set stay together very well for the fall. It comes with 3 stands to lay the set horizontally. If going for a vertical look, there is a 3rd party base available. Another perk to this set is there are no stickers, the designs are printed on the pieces for perfect alignment. I highly recommend this set to NASA fans.

> 3 dayThis is an absolutely amazing set of legos. The stages of the rocket comes apart just how the real Saturn V would. Took my son several days to put it all together and kept him super interested in the history of the rocket That being said, it was missing 3 pieces and had an erroneous piece The manual has an overall parts list which is super helpful (but could be more helpful if it was separated by chapter/bag of parts, rather than entire set Early in the build my son complained he didn’t have a piece he needed. I know Lego is pretty strict so I figured he dropped or misplaced a piece. But that was when I was able to tell the remaining piece he had wasn’t even a part used in the entire assembly…period. Luckily the extra piece was a structural component that was oversized so when I was confident the part wasn’t correct, I cut a section off of it and was able to continue building Two other bags were missing a piece (which I was able to salvage from my sons other generic Lego sets) I was really surprised at the lack of quality control on this set. First time I’ve ever seen it
