Greater than one weekI’ve always used the standard cheap humidifiers that everyone always has. You wake up in the morning and it’s empty and the room is still dry. I’ve been on a smart home kick lately and of course had to get a smart humidifier with a new baby in the house. My ol lady thought it was ridiculous until about a week of use and the smart functions kicked in and now she loves it too. It’s way more effective over a way larger area than thought. The upstairs of my house (4 bedrooms and 2 baths) maintain a 40% humidity at all times now. Once the desired % is reached it will ramp back down and save water and I fill it up every other or every three days. It will also send me a notification when it’s empty and I can control it easily with my Alexa. Great buy and super happy with it!

> 3 dayThis is the only humidifier in my studio. Keeps instruments working in the dead of dry winter.

> 3 dayI like everything about this product - it works very well, is whisper quiet and easy to control. However, after we used it the first night, there was a white film over EVERYTHING in our large bedroom. Furniture, ceiling fan, recliner, you name it. And it felt a little bit sticky, perhaps from using the diffuser aroma oil that came with it. My wife was not at all happy about it. So in the Q&A, Levoit said if you have minerals in your water, you may get some white residue. Understatement of the year. This product is unusable with San Antonio tap water. Using distilled water would get very expensive. This was probably not a good purchase.

> 3 dayThis thing can crank out the moisture if you need it or just keep you at a steady range works very well in my room and don’t need to refill until 3-4 days from half. Easy instructions and lots of cautions on where to pour your water also a good idea to use distilled water to keep it working for a long time due to the absence of minerals accumulating

Greater than one weekVery easy to clean and very quiet. Does a good job of increasing humidity in my family room (approximately 20x20, 8 ft ceiling). Also have one in the hallway outside the bedrooms and does a good job there as well. Move it into my bedroom at night. I don’t hear it at all and it serves as a good nightlight - perfect brightness level.

> 3 dayThe app to operate this humidifier is balky and not fully vetted IMO. I now only use the App to turn the humidifier on or off. Scheduling is available but did not work well for me.

> 3 dayIt virtually silent and keeps our large open-concept living room, dining room and kitchen humid enough that we dont shock the pets when we touch them, which was my reason for buying a humidifier! I put off buying one because I didnt want to have to buy distilled water, but its so nice to have a humidifier that doesnt become a microbiology experiment after a weeks use that its worth the expense and hassle. (I have to use distilled water because we have a well and a softener.) This humidifier has stayed perfectly clean. I let it run itself empty about once a month and take it apart to check it, but theres no particulate matter, no mold, etc. I towel dry all the parts the best I can, shake out the little filter, then let everything air dry, though Im not sure any of that is necessary. Very, very happy with this purchase!

> 3 dayArrived quickly with product as described. I use gas heat, and I -and the dog- would wake up and start sneezing. Almost got drug tested at work due to red, itchy eyes! Since I’ve been using my Levoit to keep humidity above 50% in my bedroom at night, I wake up without my sinuses hurting-and I’ve dropped from buying kleenex every other week to only twice this winter. I use distilled water, but still need to clean the unit monthly. Go ahead and order some assorted small, soft brushes when you order the unit: turns a minor chore into a quick routine. I like the results so well I that bought one for a buddy with other health problems. So far this season, he hasn’t had any major respiratory problems-a big change from before he started using the Levoit! Heartily recommend using a humidifier, and the Levoit has served me & my buddy well.

> 3 dayHumidifier works great as per all the reviews. However for those buying the smart(app controlled) humidifier be aware you CANNOT control it from your phone unless you give it access to your contacts. It is a prerequisite for app working.

> 3 dayWe travel full time in an RV and this humidifier was perfect for keeping the humidity levels up while traveling through the southwestern US where humidity outside was often in the teens. For most people, 40-45% is comfortable and this humidifier had no problems keeping our RV in that range (about 400 square feet of space). I love my smart gadgets and I really like that every aspect of this humidifier can be controlled remotely AND it can be paired with Alexa to create routines. Generally, we only run this at night while were sleeping and its super handy that I can have it automatically turn on in the evening and not have to worry about remembering to do it myself. So many smart products are limited in what youre able to do with them remotely, but you can control everything about this humidifier right from your phone or by simply telling Alexa what to do with it. The only downside to this humidifier is that it doesnt come with a filter to remove impurities in the water, which means it leaves a layer of white dust on everything. Its easy enough to wipe up, so its not a big deal for us. Also, just as a note, if you have a stove top with propane burners, the dust will cause the flames to burn bright orange. This isnt dangerous or harmful. Just be aware of it. As with every other humidifier Ive ever owned, the digital hygrometer is never accurate. I have always used several hygrometers in my home to monitor humidity levels and I rely on those instead of the one built into the humidifier. As a matter of fact, with this humidifier, I just turn off the display completely and adjust the output and humidity levels based on my other hygrometers. Again...not a big deal and Ive had to do this with every humidifier Ive ever owned.
