Purchased the levoit 300S humidifier for a 300st/ft master bed and bath area. Works well and is has a relatively low noise level compared to the 600S with only a slight whistling noise. 300S is also easier to clean than the very difficult 600S. There are a few areas that are difficult to access and descale mainly the area around the secondary float. There is a small water filter on the 300s in the top tank as well. The 300S lacks a few features such as a storage clip on the unit for the included cleaning brush. I find that annoying on a high price unit. The humidifier also lacks a dedicated area for mineral absorption pad. I use the pads for the 600S since I buy them anyway. Ive see no issue with performance. Ive used the mineral pad tucked under the float (works best) and placed in the back of the unit (see pictures) you might be able cut them to fit where ever you want as well Ive never tried it. The mineral absorption pads are worth the money. I have hard water so descaling the unit can be a chore, the mineral absorption pad helps with that as well as the annoying white dust. I normally use water from the fridge filter however I find my ZeroWater filter works best. Only need to do a minimal descaling job every 6 weeks now, with a quick weekly vinegar bath and brush. The Max water line is at the upper handles I didnt see it on the clear plastic tank had to check the ownes manual. The app is just okay, it has adds that make it less than user friendly sometimes. The offending add sometimes blocks the main screen to access your device and controls, Forcing you to click the small X in the top corner of the add and then choose why you dont want to see this add. Im sure They will most likely fix this in a future update. Typically I use the widget for quick on off and run schudules. I have other Levoit products so I am familiar with the app an use it daily. The air purifier doesnt like the humidifier. When running side by side they purifier would detect the mist and run constantly. I now run them on opposite sides of 5ft dresser top and they do fine together. Overall it is a great unit and works well to humidifi my bedroom. Cons - Medium cleaning difficulty - No clip for cleaning brush - No designated location for mineral absorption pad. - Adds in the app are sometimes intrusive. Pros - Large top fill water tank - Water filter - Full front button controls - Front screen can be turned off for sleep (with the night light on or off) - Cleaning reminders and tank empty notifications from the app. - Ability to use both timers and scheduled on/off times. - Night light with high low and off settings My review is unpaid and I purchased the 300s at full price.

It does work amd like how it shows the humidity levels however, this is definitely made for small spaces. It says 500 sq ft but I think its better suited for more like 300 sq ft. I like that it doesnt take up much space. Make sure you are rinsing it out every few days! I notice 1 week of usage is too long and there is buildup starting to grow. Also would only recommend soft tap water. If your place is dry this will run non stop so buying water would be expensive. From what I read hard water leaves a white film over your home.

This smart humidifier was a great purchase... I ts great I set it up to only work at night and set the humidity at a specific level and it maintains it. It actually works with my airpurifier to better clean the air. I do use filtered or distilled water in the unit just to keep it cleaner. The app is great, sleep mode is awesome works with Alexa... All in all excellent purchase. I definitely would recommend the Classic 300S Smart Humidifier to Family, friends, and to you.

The humidifier is great, love all the smart features. I appreciate the large tank on the humidifier, but it still runs out daily. I run it 24/7 (on Auto), because its winter, and my apartment gets SUPER dry with the heat on. Its very quiet, even on max, especially compared to my heater. I never use the sleep mode, but Im sure its useful for some people that are more sensitive to noise. Ive lived in urban areas for a long time, so it could be 10x louder, and I still wouldnt notice it. One issue I had was that I lowered the desired humidity level (on Auto), and it didnt seem to lower the output, so the humidity was higher than I wanted it to be. I had to switch to manual, adjust the output there, wait for the humidity to drop, then go back to Auto. Not sure if this was a one time glitch, or a problem with Auto mode. It only happened the one time, havent really changed the humidity level since then.

We use this for our snake breeding room. Works great, but it is not as easy to clean as I’d like. It does fill up with a muck that can be difficult to clean, but the humidifier does not come apart enough to clean everything which is what I was hoping for when purchasing.

Love this humidifer. Just dont make the same mistake I did by using Tap Water. Only use Distilled Water. Tap Water will create White Dust / a Faint Fog in the room due to the minerals in tap water that will literally soak the the entire room in a white chalky powder that will need to be wiped down constantly. Ill probably at some point need to buy a Distilled Water Generator to save money on Store Bought Distilled Water. App is easy to use. And highly reccomend just using Auto Mode. Sensor can be sensitive so find thresholds that work for your room. If Target Humidity can never be met, Humidifer will never turn off during Auto Mode to save water. Try lowering Humidity Levels. Fans and Open Windows greatly affect humidity levels so find thresholds that work in tandem with those variables if you have any. Humidifer is very quiet and you can barely hear it. I have it on my nightstand next to my bed and is not an issue.

Arrived quickly with product as described. I use gas heat, and I -and the dog- would wake up and start sneezing. Almost got drug tested at work due to red, itchy eyes! Since I’ve been using my Levoit to keep humidity above 50% in my bedroom at night, I wake up without my sinuses hurting-and I’ve dropped from buying kleenex every other week to only twice this winter. I use distilled water, but still need to clean the unit monthly. Go ahead and order some assorted small, soft brushes when you order the unit: turns a minor chore into a quick routine. I like the results so well I that bought one for a buddy with other health problems. So far this season, he hasn’t had any major respiratory problems-a big change from before he started using the Levoit! Heartily recommend using a humidifier, and the Levoit has served me & my buddy well.

This is a great humidifier. I have a 550sqft apartment and it has stepped in and started doing its job like a pro. Humidity has been excellent since getting it! However there is one issue with this product and it might be in the name itself being an “ultrasonic” humidifier. It produces an extremely high pitched ringing noice constantly regardless of what output level you set it to. If you’re able to hear dog whistles this will drive you nuts. I cannot find a way to reduce the noise it outputs so I’ve resorted to only running at certain intervals when other noises will cancel it out. The machine itself is generally quite though despite the ringing noise it produces. And it’s easy to clean and refill which helps reduce the con of this noise output.

I loved how easy this humidifier was to fill (and its silent when running) - but I made a very expensive mistake: I used tap water and kept it in the kitchen. Around the time I received this humidifier, I noticed that the flames on my gas stove were orange. It was an old stove, so I assumed there was something wrong with it - and I bought a new stove. When THOSE flames were also orange, I called my gas utility - they swapped out the meter (thank goodness that was free). Come to find out - the ultrasonic cool mist humidifiers send out vapor with everything thats in your water. Since I have a softener, the vapor included salt and lots of calcium/magnesium. Those compounds were causing my stove to burn orange flames; plus produced a stunning amount of white dust that went everywhere. Turning off the humidifier for an hour+ resulted in a normal-looking blue flame and no dust. I will keep this, and use it for bedroom, occasional use, filling it with distilled water. But I need a humidifier for my whole house, so have purchased a steam/evaporative-type humidifier that only sends out pure water vapor.

    * In sleep mode it turns off light, but also reduces moisture output.
