I loved how easy this humidifier was to fill (and its silent when running) - but I made a very expensive mistake: I used tap water and kept it in the kitchen. Around the time I received this humidifier, I noticed that the flames on my gas stove were orange. It was an old stove, so I assumed there was something wrong with it - and I bought a new stove. When THOSE flames were also orange, I called my gas utility - they swapped out the meter (thank goodness that was free). Come to find out - the ultrasonic cool mist humidifiers send out vapor with everything thats in your water. Since I have a softener, the vapor included salt and lots of calcium/magnesium. Those compounds were causing my stove to burn orange flames; plus produced a stunning amount of white dust that went everywhere. Turning off the humidifier for an hour+ resulted in a normal-looking blue flame and no dust. I will keep this, and use it for bedroom, occasional use, filling it with distilled water. But I need a humidifier for my whole house, so have purchased a steam/evaporative-type humidifier that only sends out pure water vapor.

Nothing to dislike. I got this device to keep moisture in the air, and it works well. And it is completely silent. I dont even know its on unless I look to see the vapors coming out.

I purchased this humidifier last August for our bedroom as we live in a dry, high desert area. It works wonderfully, is easy to control and does the job well. We have been very happy with the purchase. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, we suddenly discovered that the on/off switch no longer operated the unit. I emailed Levoits customer service and they promptly put me in contact with a service representative. After asking me a few questions, he sent me instructions to try to start the unit, but the efforts were unsuccessful. He requested some information about the purchase and the unit, including my shipping address, and responded that they would be sending a new replacement unit. It arrived today and works fine. I am totally satisfied with the product and the follow up service. I recommend Levoit and this humidifier for anyone in need of an excellent product.

There is just nothing negative to say about the build quality and the design. Its light, easy to fill the water tank (best feature ever!), and quiet. Overall its really a great product. However, while the description says its good for rooms up to 500 sq ft, I am not sure if that is true.... If your room happens to have high ceilings, then that changes the story, IMO. My room is like that and.... while I love the unit, it was just not strong enough. I wish it pumped more humidity/mist into the air, but its just not built for that. If they come out with a higher output in the future, I would definitely buy that.

Really like this humidifier, however it is much easier to use from the app than using it directly from the control panel on the actual humidifier itself - which can be an issue when a caretaker is home with baby and not able to easily access the app. The reason I mention this, you cannot put the humidifier into sleep mode on any other function other than auto and the only way to turn off the display with it in a different mode is through the app. Only drawback to this humidifier thus far.

Very easy to clean and very quiet. Does a good job of increasing humidity in my family room (approximately 20x20, 8 ft ceiling). Also have one in the hallway outside the bedrooms and does a good job there as well. Move it into my bedroom at night. I don’t hear it at all and it serves as a good nightlight - perfect brightness level.

I’ve always used the standard cheap humidifiers that everyone always has. You wake up in the morning and it’s empty and the room is still dry. I’ve been on a smart home kick lately and of course had to get a smart humidifier with a new baby in the house. My ol lady thought it was ridiculous until about a week of use and the smart functions kicked in and now she loves it too. It’s way more effective over a way larger area than thought. The upstairs of my house (4 bedrooms and 2 baths) maintain a 40% humidity at all times now. Once the desired % is reached it will ramp back down and save water and I fill it up every other or every three days. It will also send me a notification when it’s empty and I can control it easily with my Alexa. Great buy and super happy with it!

I bought this one b/c my other humidifier broke. This humidifier is great!!! Very quiet. Huge water tank. Phone app works great. Has optional night light, and most importantly...its easy to clean.

Love the scheduling and humidity options. Of all the humidifiers I have owned, this is the most difficult to clean and the one needing to be cleaned the most frequently. Ill live with it. We also have the LEVOIT 2.4L Water Tank. A simpler unit that is a lot easier to clean!

This is a 10! Its a no-noise effortless product. I love the app that allows you to schedule on/off times. We have it in our daughters room and it is scheduled to go on ten minutes before coming home from school and go off ten minutes after she leaves for school. It has an optional night light that you can schedule to go on and off and even the display can be scheduled to go on/off without the unit shutting off. My daughter said the display was too bright for her room so we have the unit scheduled to go on showing the display and at 10:15pm, the display goes off but the unit continues to run. Everything can be controlled by the app. The bonus feature is that it allows for essential oil to be added to a filter. Considering it runs for 14 hours straight, I only have to refill it every other day with a humidity setting at 55%. Not bad.
