> 24 hourI only use this as a hand held dustbuster only. Suction is good, lightweight, charge lasts a long time. Only downside for me is that you must hold the button to keep it running. I would prefer the ability to click it on and off without having my thumb constantly holding it in the ON position. At first I didnt think such a simple thing would matter to me, but after time and depending on the job, I find it annoying that it just doesnt stay on until I click it off.

> 24 hourReally convenient not to have to deal with a cord and hose to pick up hair, dust and light debris. Suction is adequate but does not compete with my shop vac. Easy to empty and store on included bracket.

> 24 hourMy husband recently expressed a wish for a small vacuum, not for major jobs but for the periodic pick up jobs that we all have from time to time - orzo spilled across the kitchen floor, for example. He was particularly impressed that this vac was made by Makita, a favorite line of tools in his construction business. We ordered this in mid-July, received it on Aug 1, and it slipped out of the return window at the end of August. Now, on September 13, he has used it enough that it needed to be emptied. Emptying this little vac created such a mess on the floor that he had to vacuum it up with a larger vacuum. He finds the process of emptying this little vac so unpleasant that he wants, badly, to return it. He is one of those folks we all know who can figure anything out, but this process is simply too difficult. I would volunteer to empty it for him when he vacuums, but he reminds me that he is vacuuming to protect my asthma and allergies, which would be triggered by vacuuming, let alone a dusty emptying routine. We have spent thousands with Amazon over the years, and nearly never return anything, but the difficulty of emptying this vacuum warrants an attempt. Alas, we will now have to throw ourselves on the mercy of Makita.

> 24 hourA number of years ago I was looking for a hand vac. I read lots of reviews and this one had so much praise, but what impressed me was the positive reviews from men on ease of use because of the extension and the strong suction. One man said he even made it longer for him with pvc pipe. I bought one and it is one of the best investments I have ever made. Since then I have bought five more. Two of those were bought for our oldest son, one for a baby gift and then another one when they bought a two story house ( one for each level). I gave another son one when he and his wife moved. I have three. Two of those are at our primary home and the other at a second home. This vacuum is wonderful! I just got my third one and it came with a wall hanger. None of my others had this. I have looked for the holder as a separate purchase but no success. I hope Makita offers this soon.

> 24 hourI was looking for a handheld after my previous one stopped charging and my husband found this one. Im so glad he did. It keeps a charge for a long time and does a great job plus it has added versatility because of the extension that lets me clean around toilet and pedestal sinks! Amazing!

> 24 hourBought for an extended rv road trip and did not disappoint. Cleaned everything we pointed it at, and is able to get at all the small nooks and crannies in an rv. I have also used it on my stairs with similar results. Light and easy to use. The container fills up fast and requires getting your hands a little dirty to clear debris off the filter, especially pet hair. No complaints and no regrets with this purchase.

> 24 hourA great little utility vacuum for home, car, office, etc. It tackles the dirt of two teens, two toddlers, a cat, and two busy parents. It charges quick, and is quick to deploy thanks to its mount. The wide angle head is large enough to make this vacuum usable for large carpets, the narrow head gets into tight spots well, and the scrub brush head will pry up stubborn dust. I also like that you can take out the neck tubing to use it (with or without attachments) for small/tight areas. I even use it to suck up fruit flies before releasing them outside. We were struggling to find a vacuum that we liked, and I decided to purchase the Makita because it looked very functional. It ended up being our favorite vacuum cleaner yet, and helps us keep our kitchen and living room clean. It also makes short work of vacuuming a car. The battery charges in 20 minutes, and lasts a good amount of time between charges. We havent noticed issues with cracking, and were pretty rough on things. You do have to clean it from time to time.

> 24 hourPrevious reviewers that did not love this thing (excepting any who received a damaged product) must have had incredibly positive experiences with vacuums in their past. How can you not love it? A few years ago, I moved into a home with a central vac system. The adorable former owner left me a note calling the vacuum head and tubing my new best friend. Well... it was (and is) a close relationship, to be sure, but one fraught with problems. Honestly, I never want to vacuum unless I have a full hour to lug that thing around, find an outlet, constantly move outlets, and lug it back to the storage closet. Therefore, I went from happily vacuuming once a week to ... oh, once monthly, whether it needs it or not. See my difficulty here? The situation was not good. So I knew I needed something for light jobs, quick pick-ups, and the stairwells on the periphery of the central vacs range. This unit is inexpensive and well-rated, comparatively. It arrived promptly as Prime items do, and I assembled it without even taking the instruction manual out of the box. It worked immediately after assembly and I spent about 10 minutes testing it out before the partially-charged battery (like cell phones this comes with a battery that needs to be fully charged) started to dwindle. Setting off to plug in the charger, I glanced down at my unit expecting to find a little bit of fluff in the chamber but it was FULL of lint. (I know what youre thinking... DUH lady- if you only vacuum once a month! but I really did not think I had gotten so much dirt in that time- verifying the suction DOES WORK in this puppy.) Im a traditionalist, and I do appreciate loyalty, but my central vac comes out for traditional housekeeping only. This unit is my new main sweetheart. And did I mention what a delight it is to have it in the car? How I have lived so long without this gem I can only wonder. While you can buy a better stick vacuum, you cant for this price.

> 24 hourI recently purchased a new Mikita drill and impact driver and noticed this handheld vacuum. My wife has been looking for a small cordless vacuum so I grabbed this with the idea I will have extra batteries that we could share. She wanted a small cordless for touch up jobs around the house that don’t need the big floor vacuum so we gave this a try and wow pretty impressed. For its size it really does a decent job much better than we expected. Noise level it is a little higher than a cordless drill so not too loud. Battery life seems really good as well. I picked up a spare 4.0 Ah battery to share between the Makita tools we have and the battery is still showing full after several uses. So if you have any Makita cordless tools this would be a good addition to your arsenal. It is great for quick cleanups or in between using the large floor vacuum. The floor attachment works well on hardwood floors and carpet.

> 24 hourThe entrance to our house was constantly dirty. Thanks to the Makita 18V cordless vacuum, our entrance is now clean. Kept in the coat closet, its always ready to go and right there. No cords, just grab it, pull the trigger, and a couple swipes later...clean floors. This vacuum is a game changer. LOVE IT! The availability of replacement filters is also why I bought this.
