> 3 dayMakita quality. Very powerful cordless vacuum and very convenient if you already have other Makita 18 volt cordless tools as the batteries interchange. It is for smooth surfaces and low pile rugs, not carpet. I purchased it on a one day flash sale for 99.95 including battery and charger. Well worth the money. Battery lasts approximately 30 minutes and charges in about 30 minutes. The only negative I can think of for some is theres no on/off switch. Theres a trigger you press and hold down for the vacuum to run. Let off the trigger the vacuum shuts off. My elderly mother complains its difficult to hold down for her for long periods of time. Not an issue for me.

> 3 dayI recently purchased a new Mikita drill and impact driver and noticed this handheld vacuum. My wife has been looking for a small cordless vacuum so I grabbed this with the idea I will have extra batteries that we could share. She wanted a small cordless for touch up jobs around the house that don’t need the big floor vacuum so we gave this a try and wow pretty impressed. For its size it really does a decent job much better than we expected. Noise level it is a little higher than a cordless drill so not too loud. Battery life seems really good as well. I picked up a spare 4.0 Ah battery to share between the Makita tools we have and the battery is still showing full after several uses. So if you have any Makita cordless tools this would be a good addition to your arsenal. It is great for quick cleanups or in between using the large floor vacuum. The floor attachment works well on hardwood floors and carpet.

> 3 dayIve used cordless vacuums before in the past but gave up on them as they were only as good as the lifetime of the battery. This sucker has a removeable battery with its own separate charger!

> 3 dayVery light. Battery lasts forever. Great for floors and stairs. Not good enough for carpet though. Sadly, it’s just not strong enough for carpet. Otherwise, I love this thing. No cord, no hassle, zips through kitchen and bathroom in seconds. Picks up hair like crazy, no tangled rotary thing so hair cyclones right in. Great little tool.

> 3 dayI found this a good tool for areas that require cleaning between your usual routine with a more powerful vacuum. Like at entrance areas, around kitchen table and counters. Computer stations, etc. Great on staircases. Look at this tool as being designed for convenience. It will not replace a full size canister or upright vacuum. The filter will require cleaning every time you use it. I use a small brush to brush off the filter and the inside of the filter canister housing the filter. The filter bag can be placed over 3 or 4 fingers and clapped in your hands to shake out fine dust. It can also be hand washed and left to dry before reinstalling. I think the reason for some bad reviews are: Not cleaning the filter when dirty. Not reassembling the unit correctly after cleaning. Attempting to do jobs meant for a full size vacuum. This may be one of the lightest duty vacuums on the market. And one of the most convenient. Either use it as such, or dont buy this unit. The reason I bought two of them is I already have Makita power tools with batteries and charger. The batteries are shared among all my tools. I would probably not have made these vacuum purchases if I had to buy batteries for each vacuum. I think the price of this unit is at the reasonable limit before batteries are added to the price. If you need to buy batteries and charger just for this unit alone, I would look elsewhere. The one and 2 star reviews didnt read the user manual.

> 3 dayFor me, this is an outstanding helpful tool that I am thankful for every day! I have wood floors in my house. I have pets. I have two dyson vacuums which I love. But this makes me dance a jig for a few reasons...its cordless, its lightweight, its small, and it is simple. So, we keep this in the laundry room which is next to the kitchen. We also have a battery charger there, and a battery operated Makita blower. I use this little vacuum to clean up dog hair and cat litter and pieces of grass and debris we bring in from our shoes or dog paws. The canister doesnt hold a lot, but for me it is perfect! I dump it into a trash I have in the backyard, and at the same time, I use the Makita blower to blow off the fabric filter because I cant shake the fur/dust off of it. The little fabric filters are easy to accidently throw in the trash while emptying the canister, so be careful. The little filters are well made out of a felt type material...they have a strong stitching and I cant imagine needing to change it very often if you blow it off to clean it. My system may not work for everyone. I can honestly say if I didnt have the little Makita blower right next to it, I wouldnt love this vacuum as much because the filter would have to be changed so often. This machine is not meant to be strong carpet cleaner. Im unsure why they invented it at all....but I love it for my wood floors because I love clean floors and this helps me EASILY keep them vacuumed.

> 3 dayThis little vac sucks, in just the ways I want it to and better than I hoped would be the case. The best thing about it is is portability, for which I bought it in the first place. After reading some reviews I was worried about its sucking power (as I recall, CFM not even listed on the product page) and considered buying the backpack version with two 5 amp batteries to replace that, but read about even that lacking sufficient sucking power, and even corded ones not pleasing customers in terms of ability to suck, so I finally went back to the original reason I bought this, which was portability and simply hoped the suction would be sufficient. Well it is, and I cant stop myself from turning to find where the cord might be as its hard to get used to being this liberated from electrical cords. In terms of how long it lasted, I first tried it on a partial charge (I first got the 5 amp battery for the Makita blower) and it lasted 15-20 minutes so I thought this full charge trial would tire after 30 minutes but not so! Im not sure how long it lasted, probably 30-40 minutes, but I got through my whole one story house about 3-4 times before I finally gave up on trying to empty the battery completely (assuming its better to charge a completely empty battery than a partially charged one) and simply quit from fatigue and lack of need to spiff up the house any more, and set the battery to charging again, hoping it was low enough not to harm the battery by charging it only partially discharged. So I am most definitely satisfied. Although I have 3-4 corded, high suction vacuums, one of them a powerful Sears canister type, this is going to be my vacuum of choice due to the convenience factor of carrying it around without having to constantly steer and reposition the cord. In my opinion this mini-vac is well designed to go with the 5 amp battery I possessed before buying it.

> 3 dayI bought this because I was interested in a stick-vac and a friend recommended it. Since I have several Makita cordless tools I already had the charger and batteries so decided to give it a try. I’m very happy with it and use it frequently. It works very well on hardwood and tile floors but not as well on carpet which is no surprise to me. The storage bracket allowed me to conveniently mount it in my broom closet although it does not come with mounting screws which wasn’t a big deal for me, but might be for others. Filters are readily available from third party venders at low cost and are easy to replace. Battery life is good. The only downside is that there is a high-pitched whine when in use which is annoying to me. I don’t tolerate loud noises well so frequently use hearing protection when using this and other power tools and appliances. Since I frequently use the stick-vac to clean up on DIY home projects, I’m typically already wearing hearing protection so it’s not a big deal. I deducted one star for the high-pitched noise and lack of mounting screws.

> 3 dayI love this vacuum. I have a golden retriever and they shed constantly. Iuse mine daily. This vacuum sucks up all the hair with a quick once over. And its not too heavy and easy to empty out.

> 3 dayWhat do I like about this... Everything! It is light weight, easy to use, attachments easy to swap out. Battery and charger expertly made. Charger has a fan to keep it cool while fast charging. Light indicates good condition, beeps when done, also indicates if battery has issues. I used this as soon as it charged. (20 min) Picked up more than my regular vacuum designed for pet hair. It took about 5 minutes to fast clean my no pile wall to wall carpet. A 20 x 14 foot room. Glitter, circle dots, hair, grass, and dirt. I wasnt expecting 5 minutes to fill the tank! The floor didnt look dirty except a little light glitter form a dress and a couple of hole punches that missed the trashcan. I should have opened it over a trash can. My mistake underestimating what it accomplished for test run. Of course it cleaned up my mistake quick. Then I re-dumped and disaster avoided. I have always loved Makita tools but didnt think I would be the proud owner of 0ne. I have ordered the leaf blower and a tool collection of drills. If they work half as well I will be a customer for life. Seller got it to me a day ahead of schedule.
