> 3 dayI have hundreds of recipes, so the custom cookbooks are nice. I just wish there was a quicker way to put them in other than cut and paste, as they were all stored on various Word documents

> 3 dayI originally went to MasterCook after Living Cookbook went dark would not install on Windows 10. The reason I went ot MasterCook was that they could import all of my recipes (for a fee), but since I did not want to type in the 500+ recipes again, it was a bargain. At first the program was great, but then stuff started to bug me.

> 3 dayI am so happy to be returning to MasterCook. The program is easy to use, has everything I need, and the customer service is prompt. I needed help converting my recipe files from another recipe program to MasterCook. Pam Erickson, from customer service, has been very patient and her directions have been easy to follow.

Greater than one weekPremise of this software is great. However, the first year I had this all of the recipes I had hand typed into a cookbook that I created disappeared one day. Frustrating, but I figured ok - lets give this another go, it was an unfortunate mistake. Another years worth of recipes and today it happened again. I updated the program, opened it up and saw that my recipes were intact.... until I added one new recipe. Then, all of the recipes are gone and the new one I added was not even there. A completely empty cookbook again. Found the file, tried restoring to a previous version - nothing. Whoever creates this program has no idea how to design software - avoid like the plague.

> 3 dayI have used Master Cook, currently v.15, for a long time. Their support is absolutely great. Always fast and very helpful. I am very concerned about an email blast I received from MC about their 2020 version due out soon after the first of the year. It is being listed as a $175.00/year subscription for the personal version. And the email had a Black Friday deal of 35% off to make it $113.75/ year. I am unclear if that includes their cloud hosting although it must because all their versions share their data from the cloud. I emailed them with questions about ongoing support for v15 and Pams reply was:

> 3 dayOnce I got the program loaded it was somewhat confusing to get it to work. I believe with trial and error I will become very adapt of the program.

> 3 dayThis software is very, very unstable. Yes they will convert your recipes into the offline component but offline is not connected to online version. Online version really does NOTHING. They are looking for you to pay for software and annual fee to fund their development effort. The offline portion looks and works exactly like their version 8, recipe views are so small in printt format you cannot use your laptop to read recipes. You will need to print them.
