> 3 dayThis software requires ongoing investment without providing modern functionality. As other reviews have mentioned, the program looks like a relic from the 90s. I owned 8.0 and paid to “upgrade” to 15.0. There were no new features, the print layouts were still archaic, and the glitches with web imports and other basic tasks remained. In the years between 8.0 and 15.0, the only observable change was a “home” screen that allowed you to navigate between online (paid) account access and your pc. The site previously advertised free web accounts but has since changed to requiring all accounts to pay a subscription. Clearly the company has received many complaints from unhappy customers as there are repeated references to the product being non-refundable. There is no place on the site where customers can provide feedback/reviews. Further, the tech support in my experience was snippy and rude.

> 3 dayI had an earlier version so knew what to expect. Since I am not as computer literate as I would like, the lack of printed instructions is a small problem for me. But overall iit is a good program.

> 3 dayI purchased this software because of the rating, supposed to be 4 to 5 stars; I found it very confusing, not user friendly at all and when I finally figured it out then printed one recipe the formatting is awful and you can not change it.

> 3 dayThis is the 3rd edition I have purchased. Although I live in a retirement community where meals are provided I still wanted the new edition when I got my new computer. (I guess thats what you call it ... a new edition ... its what works with my computer). Personally, I really dont use the cookbooks that come with it as I can find just about any recipe I want on the internet BUT I have put my old tried and true recipes on a cookbook I created for them. I like and use the features of Mastercook in putting my recipes in my personal cookbook. I also like other features of Mastercook with my cookbook ... the search features ... the ability to easily put the recipe in several categories ... the ease of printing out a recipe to share ... and so on. I like having my recipes in one place, easily accessible so much so that I was willing to buy it ... again.
