> 3 dayI used these recessed lights in my basement where they lit up a large area, coming with twelve! I used a hole cutter the size of the lights into old 1x6 barnwood and they popped right in. Then I connected the boxes onto the upper sides, stringing each light together down the line. Easy electrical work feeding from a hot line. I see these better used in new construction easily and the best!

> 3 dayThese are pretty much exactly what you want for pot lights. No more need for deep can installations. And those got hot, sometimes needed insulation, etc. These are so slim and easy to install. If these are a retrofit, you can have them in there almost as quickly as changing a light bulb. The major plus in these is the night light. At bedtime, I can give the switch a waggle and they go into night mode. Its a wee bit bright with the six of them - but works for an hour. Ive got the switch to Alexa, so its timed to turn off after. The color adjustment makes for perfect room aesthetics and then rather than wire nuts, the trend is WAGOs. These are knock-offs but work great. The quality is hard to say thus far. The connection box metal is a bit thin but fine. Maybe this is a bit lower quality than the build of the old cans, but likely it is all it needs. My guess is ten years before needing service. This is a great set at a great price.

> 3 dayI ordered these LED recessed ceiling lights to upgrade my house from the old school can light that it came with. the main reason for this is to brighten up the house and reduce the energy consumption. These LED recessed lights are nice as you can pretty much install them anywhere even if theres a stud in the way. I think its a nice touch that these have a switch to change color temperature and with the junction box being separated form the light, wiring of these lights are a piece of cake. for rooms that need additional lighting, you can cut the hole in ceiling and not worry about studs. the spring loaded clamps are sturdy and keep the light clamped in place.

> 3 dayI got these to replace some aging can lights in my living room and kitchen. I wanted LEDs and really liked the fact that these had selectable color temperature. Installation was a snap since I already had existing cans and was about as difficult and time-consuming as changing a light bulb. They fit in perfectly with no gaps around the trim and look like they are dedicated LED cans, not retrofit. A few of the lights are on a dimmer, and my dimmer is compatible with LEDs, so it took no extra effort to get these to work with those lights. It really seems to make a difference in my home. Assuming the LEDs have the projected life span, I dont foresee needing to replace these for a long time.

> 3 dayI recently have been working on switching out my old recessed can lights to the new LED lights. I ordered these because I wanted to try out the night light feature for the hallways. Installation is pretty much like other recessed cans in that you remove the old one, wire up these lights in the little box and clip the lights into the hole. The ambient light coming from the outer ring for the nightlight feature is nice and has a warm color. The regular light is very bright as well, and the color selection is very nice as well. These are great!

> 3 dayI ordered the 12-pack of these. I’m installing them in bedrooms. Placing them about two feet out in each corner gives bright, even lighting. It seems counterintuitive, but placing these around the perimeter of a room works better than placing them in the middle. The ETL certification is listed on ETL’s search site. I don’t understand the wet location claim as these lights are not sealed. They are IC rated for direct contact with insulation. I tested them against other LED lights and the color temperature appears accurate. A sampling of three lights all drew 10 watts each. The CRI isn’t listed. They look to be around 80 when comparing them to CRI 95 lamps shining on red oak floors. Ok for bedrooms but if you need accurate color rendering, big box and lighting stores carry CRI 95+, at a much higher price. The junction box is solid enough, and the lights themselves are better made than most of these cheaper varieties.

Greater than one weekOur home was built in the age of lamps only so we felt like we were in a cave all the time. We put 6 of these in our main bedroom and I can not believe the difference it made. They were simple to install. We bought a drill attachment that cut the holes just right and had to get wiring. Overall in about 3 hours total we had 6 working lights. Love that there are alternate levels of brightness. We set this to to medium and I really like the brightness. It’s not overly yellow or blue from warm or cool settings just nice clean light. We have several other rooms needing these and will be getting more.
