> 24 hourI use meross products for my entire smart home and they have been very dependable. This plug however just would not connect. I spent three days trying and switching between 2.4ghz WiFi. It just would not go even after multiple resets. I ended up returning it.

> 24 hourEasy to setup in homekit like most homekit devices. I was pleasantly surprised that it allows you to control the two outlets separately - in homekit you can long click the plug to see both outlets and if you go to settings you can even unpair them to show as two separate devices. My only complaint is that it uses wifi instead of thread. I realize thread is brand new and more products will use it as it continues to become popular. I just dont like all these smart plugs clogging up my wifi. But for the price point and the homekit native compatibility this plug is hard to beat.

> 24 hourI purchased this wifi enabled outlet to get ready for the holidays. We have inflatable scenes for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas and I was using a dusk to dawn outlet but I didnt like that it would be running ALL night.... nobody watches Christmas lights at 3am so when I found out Meross made one of this I got it right away. I have nothing but great experiences with their products (see one of my screenshots shows 4 different devices). I love the fact that you can control each outlet independently so its not all ON or all OFF at the same time. So if I want to plug my backyard patio hanging lights I can do it in the same plug and control them separately.

> 24 hourBought this device to control an outdoor fountain and LED fountain lights separately using Smartthings. Could not connect to Smartthings without first installing the Meross app and linking the plug to it. Once it was added to the Meross app, it easily connected to Smartthings. After a 1 hour power outage the plug would not reconnect to Smartthings, showed off line. The Meross app was able to control the plug however. I had to manually re-add the device to Smartthings. Returned to Amazon and ordered a Z-Wave device: Outdoor Z-Wave Plus On/Off Light and Appliance Plug, Two On/Off Smart Outlet, Zwave Hub Required, Works with SmartThings, Wink, Alexa (ZW97). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZVQXB4R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

> 24 hourSo I live in an apartment complex and bought this for my outdoor balcony for my string lights. I tried to set it up on my balcony and each attempt ended in failure. After several on and off attempts over the span of a few hours, I brought it inside out of frustration. I then tried to see if I could pair it inside, and it worked on the first try. Not what was happening from a technical standpoint but that fixed the pairing issue, and now it works fine.

> 24 hourLately Ive been adding more smart home devices to my home (primarily revolving around Apple HomeKit), and I needed a HomeKit-compatible outdoor smart plug to control my workshop lights. The area I was going to use the smart plug was prone to being exposed to the elements, so I required an outdoor-spec smart plug. Based on the fact that my last two Meross smart home products (the garage opened and the indoor plugs) worked out great, I decided to try their outdoor plug. Out of the box, it was a lot smaller than I was expecting - the Meross Outdoor Smart Plug was replacing a similar remote-controlled plug (using a radio-frequency push-button fob) but it took a lot less space on the back of my workbench where I have all my cables organized. I also like how the rubber plugs (that are used to seal the plug holes when not in use) are attached to the housing, so I wont lose them if ever I have to unplug something in the future. With the smart plug attached to my workbench, I plugged in the smart plug, pulled out my iPhone, and went straight to the Home app. What I like about Meross products is that you do not need to install the Meross app to use them with Apple HomeKit; you can add Meross products to your smart home via the Home app directly; this was also true with their outdoor smart plug. All of the Meross products that Ive purchased so far have the required HomeKit QR code decal, making setup and installation a quick job. You can install the Meross app optionally if you want a single interface for just your Meross devices, but its not necessary. Now that I have integrated my workshop lights into my smart home, another smart convenience has been achieved! The response of the Meross Outdoor Smart Plug is quick and lag-free, it works with Siri commands (mine is Hey Siri, turn my garage lamps on) and it is exactly the smart plug that I was looking for.

> 24 hourWorks great and very reliable once added to your smart home. The only issue was on the initial setup. I had to connect and reset several times before HomeKit recognized the device on my Linksys Velop wireless network. I’ve had issues with other 2.4 wifi devices and the Linksys system in the past so I’m not sure which caused the initial trouble. I was also using the Apple HomeKit app to setup the device and not the meross app per the included instructions. After several attempts and resets it finally connected. The switch is nearly 80 feet from the closest wifi node and outside and still not a single issue! Definitely would recommend and I’m already looking at other meross products.

> 24 hourMaybe the units interoperability with HomeKit is just on the edge? My first unit was always a little flakey but then, after ~7 months (Nov 2022) stopped working altogether with my HomePod and iPhone (iOS 16.4.1(a)). Can reset it and re-add it, but then the Home app reports it as non-responsive.... Same difficulty.

> 24 hourI bought this to schedule lights we have on our deck to go on and off with home automations in HomeKit. The setup was very simple and what you would expect from any HomeKit enabled product. I simply plugged it in, opened the Home app, scanned the HomeKit sticker on the side of the plug, waited a few seconds, and then assigned the room and names for the outlets. I’d say it only took two minutes to set it all up. For those reviews saying it does not work with HomeKit, they clearly don’t know how to do it. After setup, I was able to add to my automations and control the lights on and off my network, as I have multiple Apple TV’s and HomePods that act as hubs. I’ve only had it running a couple of days, but will update on how well it holds up to damp conditions and rain. At this point that’s the only thing I’m worried about based on other reviews, but happy so far.
