> 3 dayThis was my first meross product in my Apple HomeKit. I purchased this outdoor smart plug because its one of the only reasonably-priced ones on the market compatible with HomeKit. I followed *all* the instructions and warnings when connecting it to my home network and it was still very, very difficult. I actually had to return the first plug I ordered because it absolutely refused to connect to my home network (I presume it was defective). The second one I ordered still took about *20* tries to get it onto my network and into the Home app. My advice: 1. Try over and over to add it to Home via the meross app. it might take > 10 tries with factory resets between attempts. 2. Once its added DO NOT try to move it to another outlet... I first performed the setup close to my wifi router to maximize the signal; then I planned to move it outside (it is an outside plug after all...) but when I did this is removed itself from my network and could not reconnect. I had to redo the entire setup outside and I dont plan on ever moving the outlet again for fear it will disconnect. 3. The meross app might warn you that its been added to Home but it was not added to the meross app itself - ignore this, after some time it will appear in the meross app by itself. After all of this hassle it seems to be connected to the home... hopefully it stays that way. I probably would not buy another meross product based on my experience with this plug.

> 3 dayI just wanted it to work in coordination with my iPad, I could not achieve that you need some kind of a linking home device to fully set this up. I gave up, sent it back.

> 3 dayEasy to setup in homekit like most homekit devices. I was pleasantly surprised that it allows you to control the two outlets separately - in homekit you can long click the plug to see both outlets and if you go to settings you can even unpair them to show as two separate devices. My only complaint is that it uses wifi instead of thread. I realize thread is brand new and more products will use it as it continues to become popular. I just dont like all these smart plugs clogging up my wifi. But for the price point and the homekit native compatibility this plug is hard to beat.

Greater than one weekSuper easy setup! One of the outlets is for the water fountain pump. And the 2nd outlet controls the water fountain LED lights. Setup was super fast, and works flawlessly with HomeKit!!

> 3 dayWe love this outdoor outlet and highly recommend it. It was easy to setup. It controls our bistro lights in our backyard through the Apple Home App and Siri. But unfortunately, I didn’t save the HomeKit label with code on the outlet. After a year and a half in the elements the label was not legible when I needed to reset it up with our wifi network. BUT Meross support was fantastic and was able to let me know the HomeKit code for our outlet after I had emailed them. FYI their support email is: [email protected] Thank you so much Meross!

> 3 dayThe Meross Smart WiFi Indoor/Outdoor Plug is designed for outdoor use (IP44 rated to withstand snow, rain, heat, and dust) and includes two outlets you can control independently using the app or voice (via Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, or SmartThings). Its easy to setup and use. When first added to HomeKit, the Meross Smart WiFi Indoor/Outdoor Plug appears as a single outlet, but you can show each of the two outlets as separate tiles if you would like to toggle each outlet with a single tap. Firmware updates are installed through the Meross.app, so you should always install that even if you are only using Alexa, HomeKit, Assistant, or SmartThings to control your devices. For my home, well use the Meross Smart WiFi Indoor/Outdoor Plug to control our outdoor lighting for the holidays, using HomeKit time-based triggers to turn them on at dusk and off at bedtime, and with scenes to turn them on whenever our indoor holiday lights are on. The seamless support for all major IoT systems and very reasonable price made this an easy purchase.

> 3 dayThis plug is very easy to use and integrate with Apple Home Kit. The only drawback is it is a little bulky, but that is minor. Appears well made and can withstand outdoor use.

Greater than one weekOverall this smart plug is a win! I like how it has the plug covers to keep the plugs from allowing too much water, condensation, or general outdoor dust from going into the plugs. While you can’t really hide the plug anywhere, it’s big, the functionality makes up for it. I didn’t realize each plug was independent from each other. In the Home app, you can toggle each one. This will be nice for our Christmas lights. I’ll be able to turn them on or off while at work. You set up the device directly in the Home app, really simple. However, there is also a Meross app that will update the firmware of the device. The only concern was this device only supports 2.4GHz WiFi. I default to 5GHz, so I had to temporarily switch my iPhone to my 2.4GHz network to set it up.

> 3 dayI tried all the steps to install including checking the Gateway Router to see if the MAC address was recognized (it was). The plug never connected even when I was going through the setup in the office with my router next to it. The instructions then stated to remove the MAC address, reboot the router, and re-enter the address. Forget about this.
