Greater than one weekUpgraded my basic CR-10 printer extruder to this gear after I was having a lot of issues with slipping gears and not enough power to push the filament through to the hot end. This upgrade solved the issue! I did also have to purchase a new CR-10 motor for the extruder with the D shaped shaft to make this compatible, but that was a cheap purchase which ultimately made my printer function 10x better. Definitely a good product, high quality, and easy to install. Definitely recommend this thing!

> 3 dayThis is the best built, simple, easy to install, quality extruder I have ever used. This was installed on a Vyper and it really cleaned things up. Little pricey, but for quality Ill pay the additional.

Greater than one weekI bought this to replace the OEM extruder on my Anycubic Vyper. I highly recommend this upgrade. I have it pared with a Dragon hot end and it has improved the quality of my prints immensely.

> 3 dayThe Idea to use a brass crush ring to hold the boden tube in was a bad one. It works well but these tubes wear out and with no spares and No instructions on the Size of the crush connector to buy more Youre in for a world of Hurt if you ever have a issue with your Boden tube. The extruder works alright Doesnt seem worth the price It is High quality but I havent noticed a Huge difference between this and a cheap aluminum duel gear.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent extruder and has given me zero issues. I picked this up (along with an enclosure) to be able to print TPU on an Ender 3 V2 with a Capricorn PTFE tube bowden setup. It is easy to install being a direct drop in replacement for the stock Ender 3 V2 extruder which is infamous for failing. I did not have any issues with my stock extruder, but opted for this one to enable printing TPU and to get ahead of the stock one eventually failing. It is easy to adjust tension for different filaments, even on the fly. Loading/unloading filaments is night and day different to the stock extruder. This one handles most imperfections easily. If you would like to be able to print flexible filaments but are not sold on direct drive, or just looking for an extruder upgrade that is a direct replacement this is an excellent option.

> 3 dayBest upgrade I’ve done so far, however… My Ender 3 Pro came with the extruder stepper motor with a press fit gear, which was a pain to remove, but I was able to use it once I did. I highly recommend buying a stepper motor with the flat shaft if your printer doesn’t have one already. Removing the old gear is not worth the trouble considering a new motor is under $20 from Creality, but if you’re impatient like me, it can be done lol. **if you do decide to use the press fit motor, make sure you don’t over-tighten the grub screw on the new gear. I made that mistake and a crack formed on the gear, I was able to get it replaced though and the new one has been working perfectly for over 2 months.

> 3 dayIt is really hard to find fault with this item. The original Creality plastic thing was a disaster, so this one is better by far. Ive tried the various metal versions that cost half the price of this and found them poorly designed. Using bolt threads as bearing surface, for example. The Micro Swiss is easy to install. Just follow the online instructions. People complain about the compression sleeve but I find that to be a much better solution than those screw-in things with the c-ring retainers. The red extruder knob is kind of junk because it is too small for me. There are much nicer ones available on Thingiverse. The filament sensor on the CR-6 has to be moved a bit. Micro Swiss points to a mounting plate on Thingiverse that does the job. This extruder is a solid item, easy to adjust. No more filament slipping and easy to load.

Greater than one weekOn one level this extruder is silly... for $50 more you could move to a direct drive system and be done with it. But if you have an older 3d printer that you are largely happy with and just want easier changing of filament or better control of extrusion, this is about as good as you are going to get. Everything on it from the tension adjustment to the piece of tubing which guides in new filament just makes more sense on this extruder than it does on any other. Really this extruder is a critique of every other extruder I have ever used. Really it works great. For example I am printing out some vase-mode models while intentionally using over-extrusion (0.6mm line width through a 0.4mm nozzle) and it does not miss a beat at the printers standard speed. It just happily pushes filament. Installation is easy except for cutting a notch in the Bowden tube. Some kind of guide or jig would have made that a lot easier. That being said, I did manage to do it with filament snips, so I cant really complain. Combined with a BLTouch and OctoPrint, I have removed all the things I found annoying about 3d printing and am enjoying everything much more. On the other hand, for the amount I have spent on upgrading my Ender3 Pro I probably could have just bought a better 3d printer to begin with!
