After my metal Creality extruder bit the dust after 5 rolls of filament I looked for a dual-gear extruder, and I couldnt be happier with this one. it shipped fast, was easy to install, filament loads easily, and it shipped super fast. The machining quality looks good as well, and the design eliminates many of the weaknesses of the Creality model. Im confident that this extruder will last a good while.

After adjusting the e-steps on my flsun q5 it has worked perfect proving just how bad flsun copy of the titan extruder really is. After installing and adjusting ive had no skipping what so ever where before no matter what adjustment i did i constantly either had under extrusion or after adjusting for that had over extrusion causing most of my prints to either have holes in the structure or blobs forming on the outer surface. I almost wish they made their own 3d printer as flsun is useless for tech support!

This is the right product... If youre looking for an aftermarket extruder, you should be looking for something with dual gears and a notch in the gears for filament location. If you know that much, then youll also know that the next available option is almost TRIPLE the price. Why I picked this one isnt based on price, but due to design. Having the gears open allows for easy cleaning when needed. The hardened steel teeth in the gears will get gunked up with softer materials when the spring tension isnt correct. However, setting the tension is as simple as tuning the grippy knob/nut at the back (easily accessible). The only downside for CR-6 SE users is that you have to print an adapter plate. Its a very simple part, but if youre having issues with your 3D printer, it may be hard to actually print something. Just saying ;) Happy printing!

Bought a 5kg spool of PLA, and it destroyed my old all metal extruder. This thing sucks down the filament with no complaints. Filament pull is consistent, and this extruder removed lines of under extrusion in my prints

This went on my cr10 smart. Came from an all metal creality and so far its been a night and day difference. Beautiful machining and the fit was perfect. 130 esteps were recommended I ended up at 139. The recommended retraction settings were spot on for my petg. I was only able to run 30mm a second before with the creality extruder before stripping filament but now I can run 45 and that made all the difference. One thing I didnt care for is they recommend to bevel the bowden tube and it was extremely tough to get it aligned/clocked correctly. I ended up just cutting it smooth and running it right up to the end of the exit tunnel and it feeds through fine. I suspect this will make tpu prints much easier as well so Im excited to try them. Definitely a great upgrade that I wish Id bought in place of the creality.

This is the best upgrade you can purchase for your printer. The tolerances are exact, the dual feed gears mesh together really well, the tension system is great. No more chatter, not more failure to feed forward. I works perfectly. I did have to buy a new stepper motor because mine came with a pressed on gear, but the new one was $11. Installation was easy. Go for it, spend the money, you will not regret it.

On one level this extruder is silly... for $50 more you could move to a direct drive system and be done with it. But if you have an older 3d printer that you are largely happy with and just want easier changing of filament or better control of extrusion, this is about as good as you are going to get. Everything on it from the tension adjustment to the piece of tubing which guides in new filament just makes more sense on this extruder than it does on any other. Really this extruder is a critique of every other extruder I have ever used. Really it works great. For example I am printing out some vase-mode models while intentionally using over-extrusion (0.6mm line width through a 0.4mm nozzle) and it does not miss a beat at the printers standard speed. It just happily pushes filament. Installation is easy except for cutting a notch in the Bowden tube. Some kind of guide or jig would have made that a lot easier. That being said, I did manage to do it with filament snips, so I cant really complain. Combined with a BLTouch and OctoPrint, I have removed all the things I found annoying about 3d printing and am enjoying everything much more. On the other hand, for the amount I have spent on upgrading my Ender3 Pro I probably could have just bought a better 3d printer to begin with!

Edit: 04/12/2022 After some time trouble shooting and getting spare brass sleeves, and somehow getting them to fit the inner diameter of the bowden and the connector, I would recommend this over others, but at the same time, I hate it. Major design flaw, the bowden tube connector part has a outer screw in with a piece used to hold the bowden tube in. If ever you have a jam and need to replace the bowden tube, the screw in stopper will be permanently stuck to the old bowden tube. Making it impossible to use a third party screw in stopper due to it being a outer screw in rather then an inner screw in. The product is great and all, but it is a one time use for a bowden tube.

Works flawlessly havent had an issue with it it does come with Annoying crimp fittings instead of your regular SharkBite push to connect fittings that hold in the Bowden tube. So every once in awhile it would randomly pop out due to the little rings that slide over the tube not being the correct size the way I fix that is grab a screwdriver somewhat hog it out and then crimp it down with pliers afterwards lightly so it doesnt restrict flow but keep a good connection.

Ive tried other extruders and this one is finally a good improvement over the others. Before I installed it I printed two models for comparison after the install. My printer already has many upgrades already so any improvement would be small anyway. But I did notice an improvement at the edges of parts over the stock Ender design. So Id recommend it if you want to add just a little more precise control on the extrusion. The parts are really well machined and the two gears really grip the filament well. The bowden tube is held in place using a brass flare fitting which Id never seen before in this application. It works great but you have to tighten it well so the brass fitting gets squished just like you are fixing a water pipe fitting. Thats the way its supposed to work so nothing is wrong. It wont come off the tube after that so you might want to buy more of the little flare rings for future use, just go to Amazon to buy them.
