I mostly print with carbon-fiber polycarbonate, and my old knock-off bull-dog extruder was marginal. Then I needed to run Cheetah 95A TPU and it would bird-cage instantly. This not only works for both resins but is easier to load. Standard compression fitting on the output. Input side is secured with an e-clip so a longer tube can be added to lead to the dry-box. The included knob falls off often but thats my only complaint.

Metal shavings stuck to the side of the top opening, damage to both sides of the bottom one. Id send it back but I need it today. Loust QC and obviously zero inspection. I was able to clean it up with a micro-file, but for a $50 extruder to have such an abysmal level of quality control? The manufacturer should be embarrassed.

When I was well in practice of using our new printer I had a lot of frustrating issues. The items and upgrades were brand new so I figured it was me and gave up for a long while. Gave up and purchased this and it solved everything. Now I can smoothly switch filament in the middle of a print with no issues!!

This is an excellent extruder and has given me zero issues. I picked this up (along with an enclosure) to be able to print TPU on an Ender 3 V2 with a Capricorn PTFE tube bowden setup. It is easy to install being a direct drop in replacement for the stock Ender 3 V2 extruder which is infamous for failing. I did not have any issues with my stock extruder, but opted for this one to enable printing TPU and to get ahead of the stock one eventually failing. It is easy to adjust tension for different filaments, even on the fly. Loading/unloading filaments is night and day different to the stock extruder. This one handles most imperfections easily. If you would like to be able to print flexible filaments but are not sold on direct drive, or just looking for an extruder upgrade that is a direct replacement this is an excellent option.

Absolutely everything else about this product is amazing. The build quality is great. The dual extrusion gears are very solid and grip amazingly. But the compression system for holding the tube in place is absolutely trash. It doesnt matter how far I put it on how tight I tighten it it pretty much pops immediately. Complete and total waste of time.

Less than 3 days of use, not even running 24/7. Grinding noise coming from extruder. Upon further inspection, the drive gear broke off around the grub screw causing it to skip and ultimately allow the motor to spin freely.

I really like this bowden extruder. Its well built and a huge improvement over what came with the printer.

I have had inconsistent prints for 2 years. I always thought it my tramming was off, the filament was to wet, or my z offset was wrong. I have learned a lot about 3d printing and the fine adjustments one can make to compensate for these issues. I usually get decent prints after a few adjustments. My first layers have always been a bit sheet. Recently, I was having some serious dot dash stripping in my first layer after a filament snag failed a 1.5 day print. I spent a week troubleshooting the issue. I was so frustrated, because all the tricks I had learn to resolve first layer issues were not working. I had one print finally finish and it was a sponge. I crushed it with little effort. I finally took a close look at the stock brass (soft metal) filament feeder gears and noticed a rounding / bending of the teeth. First off, I didnt know the the filament feeder gear was brass, or I would have figured it out sooner. I picked up this bad boy for my birthday, and on my first print, I had the first layer put down so beautifully and so smooth I almost cried. The product is well made and easily put together. TIP: if you use a filament sensor and you print out the adjustment bracket provided by Micro Swiss, you will need to trim the tubing. I think the attached tubing is Capracorn PFTE. It is oil slick smooth. I think will order some as my next upgrade to replace the stock one I have. Micro Swiss has the quality you have been missing. This product will make your prints better.

The brass compression nuts are NOT reusable. So why when this product is 3 times the price of others does it not include more than 1 extra compression nut. Its for A BOWDEN system which can need constant bowden tube switching yet the compression nuts are one and done. You can use them once but never again as they will not fit over fresh bowden tubing. If your gonna make them single use then but a bag of 20+ in it you cheap donkeys!
