You CANNOT get a better Bushcraft knife in this price range...or for double or triple the price. We laugh at the guys who buy the $150. knife and then wont use it as, it may get dirty and scratched. This is the one they ALWAYS turn to and get the job done. Lightweight, strong and razor sharp. Stop fooling yourself and get this one. It works!

I currently have two Morakniv Companions in my knife collection ( one is stainless and the other is the carbon version ). I love both of them and used them on my trips to the great outdoors, and I thrashed on them a good amount. This little knife performed splitting small logs, general bush crafting, and I have gutted a good amount of trout with this knife. for the money its definitely a worth while purchase if your on a tight budget. I would however recommend you to take the spine of the blade and put a 90 degree square edge for fire steel striking and wood scraping. Overall this knife is possibly one of the best cheap, bush craft blades out there and I would recommend this knife to any outdoors men who need a good, reliable blade.

Got this for my boyfriend to have in his jeep & to use camping. Great knife, easy to sharpen, and very happy with it.

It is okay. Very sharp, but came with small pits on the blade.

This is the first Mora that Ive bought and I would recommend this knife to anyone looking for a good common man knife for bushcraft or the outdoors. Comes very sharp from the manufacturer and I was able to make feather sticks right out of the package. Its very light weight for its size, which is great because I use this knife as a neck knife for camp chores and small detail work. But in a pinch you can baton wood for fire prep if need be. For less than $20 you cant beat it.

Extremely pleased with the mora companion. Carves like a dream. I could make a featherstick from a toothpick. Very highly recommended

This is a great knife. I use it for all kinds of things around the home and outdoors. Holds a good edge ive had it for a few months now and havent had to sharpen it yet! The handle is really nice it fits perfectly in my hand and it has a good grip. I also like how easily you can attach the sheath to your belt without having to take your belt off.

Your not going to find a better brand of knives then mora for the money. The best feature for me is as a novice sharpener I can sharpen these over and over and get a nice edge. Orange is about the only one I havent lost. While I hate the color I never lose it!

The Mora Companion Heavy Duty is a powerful tool for bushcrafters, hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. Suitable for batoning, the Companion Heavy Duty features a thick, 1/8-inch (3.2mm) carbon steel blade with a slightly blunter 27 Degree edge angle for high load capacity and maximum sharpness resistance. The Companion HD has an extra large ergonomic handle with a soft high-friction grip. The classic scandi grind combined with high quality carbon steel makes the knife easy to resharpen. Mora knives made from high carbon steel achieve high hardness, sharpen easily and are exceptionally tough. High carbon steels are preferred in applications that demand durability and frequent regrinding. The material is harder than stainless steel, allowing it to hold a sharper and more durably acute edge. Mora Knives are made from high-quality carbon steel. The carbon knife steels are characterized by ultra-fine carbides that result in superb forging and hardening properties. The absence of large carbide deposits promotes excellent edge sharpness for optimum cutting performance. Morakniv has been manufacturing the highest-quality knives in Mora, Sweden since 1891. Professionals worldwide trust the quality materials and fine craftsmanship of Mora Knives. Mora knives feature ergonomically-designed handles and employ premium-quality knife steel that is optimally adapted to the task for which the knife is intended.
