> 3 dayAn extremely sturdy knife that arrives razor sharp from the factory. Unfortunately, I have spent far more on lesser knives. I will be buying a few more of these for my family.

> 3 dayGreat product . T blade is a little thicker than a standard Mora blade which makes it a much more robust knife. Good for any camping, hunting, or fishing task .

> 3 dayKnife has a good feel/balance to it. The handle has an ergonomic design that fits well in my hand. I have large hands, so this was a nice surprise. The blade was pretty sharp, but I couldnt shave my arm with it, as other ads said, but it was at a useable level of sharpness. The handle has one hanging dot of plastic, where the injection mold machine filled and detached, which I will grind off with a dremel. Over all, seems like a nice knife for the price.

> 3 dayOnce again an ugly knife but it was sharp out of box. Keeps a good edge, great for wood work, fire making. Ferro rod use needs sharp 90* spine and you will have to do it with a file. Easy edge maintenance just strop after use and its scary sharp again. Nice thick blade, decent sheath with good retention. Handle is a little fat but fairly comfortable. Well worth the money!

> 3 day2.5 year review with moderate use. I put a white vinegar patina on as soon as i received it. These blades pretty much require a coat of oil if youre storing them. Hell, put some oil on after each use. I really like the patina but some of my other Companion knives show a little superficial rust. I found the white vinegar to be the best patina for rust resistance as it coats the entire blade. Other than that, the knife is amazing for the cost. The blade sharpens well and keeps a decent edge and I dont mind abusing this thing because its cheap. Ive had my eye on some pricy 3-6 inch bushcraft blades, but to be honest, I cant justify the purchase at all while these Mora knives are out there. Basically, theyre great knives, but the carbon blades need a little more care. If youre not up for that, but the stainless.

> 3 dayMy only complaint is that the carbon-steel blade requires more maintenance than I expected. But it is RAZOR sharp.

> 3 dayThis is one of those tools that is a true joy to use. It is sharp, tough, easy to maintain, and comfortable to use. It may not impress some of your gearhead buddies like the latest model with military spec features and some TV tough guys name last etched on the blade, but it will chop through a log as fat as your arm and still have a smooth, sharp edge for whittling by the camp fire. All while keeping your hands rested and in good shape for the next task. One feature that I appreciate about the heavy duty companion knife in particular is the thick blade with a smooth spine and slightly rounded edges. That means that I can comfortably push the spine of the blade with the thumb of the hand that holds the piece Im carving, adding both power and control to the cut. The robust blade can also stand up to being pounded with a mallet (or more likely a thin piece of log) to drive it into a cut that otherwise would require a hatchet. But the thing that makes this a truly valuable tool is that it costs a fraction of what the next most capable knife costs, meaning I dont hesitate to bring it on any outdoor trip and I use it often, so it will be close and familiar in my hands when I really need it.
