Morakniv Kansbol Fixed Blade Knife with Sandvik Stainless Steel Blade

> 3 dayI got this for my GF who lost a very nice bushcraft knife while we were hunting this fall. This one looks to be a lot more secure and it’s great the way the knife snaps into the sheath. She lost hers when moving through heavy brush, and the sheath flipped upside down enough the knife fell out. It’s doubtful that will happen with this one. It’s inexpensive enough that if you do lose it, it’s not so painful to replace. The emergency ferro rod is a bonus.

> 3 dayThis knife has the best spine for striking a fire steel that I have ever seen. The blade came shaving sharp and the handle is pretty much perfect for its intended use.

> 3 dayThis is a fairly priced, nice looking, and solidly constructed knife from a cool company making interesting knives. This one comes with a sheath, fire steel, built in sharpener, and paracord. The handle is comfortable, and the whole kit works well. Its definitely something I wont leave home without if Im going on any longer backpacking trips. The potential uses are nearly endless, and I am confident that the build quality means it will perform up to standards for whatever task.

> 3 dayI love knives and adding this to the group I keep & use on a regular basis. The blade is stainless but no idea it’s hardness as it’s not marked with anything else. Keeping it sharp reminded me of sharpening my kitchen knives vs some of thicker/heavier hunting blades but for what ever reason I like it, the blade locks in the sheath tightly as does the fire starter stick. Well worth it for me so I recommend it.

> 3 dayI wanted something in a Mora that could be just as at home in the kitchen drawer in the sheath dry and clean as out in the field. The Kansbol fits the bill like a glove. It came RAZOR sharp. The thinner point allows for precision cuts , working with meat or vegetables, plenty strong enough for light batoning making kindling and shavings. Easy to sharpen on a flat ceramic stone or hone with a DMT rat tail fine red diamond rod by eye, or round ceramic rod. Stays in the sheath, its not just going to fall out on you. Any negative would fall to the color, IMHO it needs to be a brighter safety orange in case of loss for field work, but I have paracord, no deal breaker there. Finish was a tad rough but hey its a Mora. I mean you are going to hone it, clean it , polish it if need be with something right? Semichrome, Flitz, RENWAX...wash it, dry it, food grade mineral oil, wipe down and store. I like it better than the Companions (I know right? Blasphemy) Great tool for the price. Theres a red one out now, when it hits Amazon I may pick it up too!

Greater than one weekThis is a great knife for camping or Bushcrafting. It comes with the knife, the sheath, the ferro rod, and sharpener. The handle of the knife is very nice and it is easy to keep a hold of. The blade itself is stainless steel and the sheath is hard plastic. The only problem Ive had is the point of the blade has gotten two chips in it. Over all I think this is a great knife.
