Greater than one weekGreat knife with a solid but slimmer blade profile. Gave it to my buddy to use for gutting deers. A few deers in, and the knife has gained his bloody seal of approval. Great product, may have to buy one for myself one day.

Greater than one weekThis is a fairly priced, nice looking, and solidly constructed knife from a cool company making interesting knives. This one comes with a sheath, fire steel, built in sharpener, and paracord. The handle is comfortable, and the whole kit works well. Its definitely something I wont leave home without if Im going on any longer backpacking trips. The potential uses are nearly endless, and I am confident that the build quality means it will perform up to standards for whatever task.

> 3 dayVery pleased with this purchase. Knife grips well and minimal slip risk. Still, I added paracord through the handle to provide additional slip safety for my hand while cutting. I appreciate Mora making that possible by having the small hole in the handle. I use this knife for car camping purposes. Does a ton of jobs well. Live the burnt orange color for visibility and loss prevention. Never understood why non-warfare people want a knife that is colored (black/green/camouflage) so it would be harder to find if you misplace it.

Greater than one weekFantastic product. I got this as a replacement for my Benchmade foldable knife as it was recently stolen. I needed a rugged replacement that would be an all around product. I attached it to my daypack as the straps and sleeve that came with it neatly fit on my backpack strap.

> 3 dayThis is the second time I bought this knife. I bought the first at a brick and mortar, and I lost it yesterday. Am I writing this review now buying a replacement. I owned it for about three years. This knife is a jack-of-all trades knife. It can do anything outdoorsy, so long as you clean it and dont let water stick to it for long. Wipe it off after every use. I have one complaint. Although Mora handles fill the hand comfortably and firmly, I wish there was just a little more protection in front of the index finger position on this knife. Many other Mora knives have that, a, something like a beavertail in case some of you get that. A little bit of protection against your grip slipping forward into the blade. I havent cut myself on this knife but this knife is a half inch of grip material away from perfection. I get that the thinner tip on this model means you might want finer control, but if this is your only knife, the safety of that would be worth it. Chances are youre mostly going to make fire with this knife, and youll want that beavertail. Absolutely unbeatable value. Not even close. Nothing else comes close to the quality for the money. Definitely buy.

> 3 dayThis is well designed and thought out. The blade/steel quality is very good. Its sharp and super easy to tune up/sharpen. The handle feels solid with a grippy (friction pattern grip) and its easy to use for most cutting tasks. The sheath holds the knife snug and securely in place and its easy to remove quickly. The ferro rod lives in a solid snug sheath that is removable from the knife sheath and holds it in place solidly. It is a good size, is easy to get a stable firm grip on the handle and it is easy to get a good effective strike. The ferro rod sheath also has a diamond media sharpening strip attached to its outside edge for blade tuning. I really appreciate that they made the sheath design modular meaning that the ferro rod sheath can be easily removed for any blade sharpening/tuning and the belt loop can also be removed which is great since the knife sheath fits perfectly in a molle loop and since the sheath is made of plastic I can also add a strip of velcro to attach to a molle backpack or vest. This knife is a great value for the quality, good design and what is offered in this kit.

20-11-2024I have a number of Morakniv knives. They are generally very good value and I like them a lot. The Kansbol is a bit odd because the blade has two grinds, a scandi which is good for woodworking, and a flat grind at the tip, which is good for things that the scandi is not, like slicing (e.g. for meal prep). So its really a knife that is trying to be a few things at once and maybe not being the best at any one of them. But if that is what youre looking for, then maybe this is a five star knife for you. Moving beyond the grind, this blade is 2.5mm thick, not as thick as the Bushcraft and Garberg models which are 3.2mm thick. It does have a 90 degree spine for using a fire starter. The tang is 3/4; the Garberg is the only Morakniv with a full tang. Im more comfortable having a thicker blade for bushcraft tasks. The handle is fine though I prefer the Bushcraft and Companion models. I like the sheath; I find the Morakniv plastic sheaths to be very functional; I know they bother some. This one is better than others, especially with the belt loop and the fire starter/sharpener holder. This is a better design than the one on the Bushcraft Survival model. So while this design is not my cup of tea, it may be what youre looking for.
